New Leaf Café is a small kiosk in the Shirokiya food court near 5&2 Frozen Yogurt and the juice place. It offers soup, sandwiches, salads and fresh spring rolls at very reasonable prices. Service: It is self serve with the items on ice ready to be picked up. The soup you have to ask for but the warmers are right in front. Food: The only item I tried was the fresh spring/summer roll which had rice noodles of vermicelli thickness wrapped in lettuce. Carrots and sliced shrimp were included. Two dips came with it. A peanut sauce dip and a sweet chili and vinegar dip. This was a nice light lunch item that was less than $ 5 and it was well worth it. The whole sandwiches were about $ 3.50 too. That is a deal! Look at the picture of the menu. Everything is freshly made and they don’t put too many items out at one time. They make more as needed. Four Stars: Fresh good and cheap. Nothing fancy but sometimes a summer roll or sandwich is what you want. Or you may not feel like spending $ 10 on a bento. This tiny place may not get a lot of attention but it is worth checking out for quality and value. Vegetarian: Salad and summer rolls(they have shrimp in them). Some of the soups are vegetarian but may have milk in them. You have to ask.
