I can’t give less than 3 stars because the owners are so sweet and the pancakes were delicious l but OMG I waited 1 hour for my food. I won’t be back here again due to the wait time. The problem is I don’t see it getting better since it seems their operations are not made to be efficient and it seems they are ok with that. I admit the ambience is cool with interesting pieces of art and a cruiser bike sitting around in the corner(because you’re not hipster yet until you have one of those in your restaurants) .I imagine their customer base being fob moms who have nothing better to do than to wait around and talk story with other fob moms as they await their pancakes after dropping kids off to violin lessons, bringing the littler toddlers with them. They cater more to the Japanese tourists who have never tried a local mango it seems! However if you do decide to come here despite my warnings do get the MANGOCREAMPANCAKES

This place is like fresh mangos GALORE. Came here with a friend early on an early weekday morning. There were few people so we were immediately greeted by the owner. He let us know that only smoothies and waffles were available at the time. Honestly, I was craving some pancakes, but I settled for a strawberry soy smoothie and the mango waffles to share. Food took too long to come out. Smoothies, 20 minutes… Waffles, another 20 minutes… Luckily, my friend and I had tons to catch up on. However, the flavors did not disappoint! The smoothie came in an adorable mason jar with handle. The smoothie was almost in a froyo-like consistency… almost devoured the whole thing using a spoon! It did get icy towards the end, but that was probably in my last two sips. The waffles were THEBEST waffles I’ve ever had. It may have had something to do with the amount of whipped cream and fresh mangos. The only thing I regret is not getting a plate to myself! Docked two stars this time for the wait for the food as well as the limited menu. Let’s hope you redeem yourself during my next visit, because I certainly love the concept and food at Mango Days!

I’m so glad we got to stumble upon this hidden gem. As many reviews have already mentioned, the interior design is fantastically done. It reminds me of the small cafes and restaurants I’d frequent in Omotesando, Tokyo. Food and service is excellent. And the owner was very nice to point out what was available.(Unfortunately those namesake mangoes are seasonal, but our berry pancakes and waffle was delicious.) So if you’re ever in the area and want to relax away from the bustle of town, I highly recommend coming here.

Fresh mango topped waffles with mango sauce and whipped cream with a side of homemade mango ice cream. It was not overkill at all. Trust me on this. Waffles were so delectably fluffy and crisp and hot when they came out! It contrasted so well with the creamy whip and sweet mango sauce. The fresh diced mangoes were also ripe and delicious! And that mango ice cream was so good as well. Tart, but sweet. I only wish that they stayed open later for some after dinner dessert! But from my observations, this seems like a one man show and I totally understand why his business hours are set that way. Interior is very cute and mango but beach themed! Overall this is a very cutesy place and I very much enjoyed my selection of consumption here.

We came back during the early afternoon to see if they still had my favorite mango pancakes. They sure do! They are delicious as ever! Such a great dish to introduce to your friends, especially if they love mangos. The mango purée sauce on top of the pancakes is the reason I continue to come back and bring people to try this yummy dish! The service was very prompt, as we were the only people there at the time so I would say the early afternoon during weekdays is a great time to visit if you are able to.

Mango Days chasing the clouds away(sung in the tune of Sesame Street). Can you tell me how to get, how to get that perfect Thai curry? A truly unforgettable experience. It’s not often that I dine out in Hawaii and find a space that I am truly drawn into. Mango Days is a truly immersive experience with thoughtfully selected interior decorations that whisk you away to a food truck nearest you. «Mango goes with everything.» I would approach this statement skeptically before experiencing Mango Days with my own taste buds. I typically associate mango with dessert dishes, or perhaps a standalone treat if someone is willing to peel it for me. Peeling mango is just not something I’m good at. Everything is fresh here and I get the feeling that I’m eating somewhere in Yokohama, Japan. It’s so tasty, fun and quirky all at the same time. Parking is available out front of the restaurant, so you needn’t worry about feeding the meter for parking stalls behind Walmart. The place is tucked away, so take a look on Google Maps before meeting your friends for lunch. Bring a few extra bills for the souvenirs. There are novelty items that would make great omiyage for friends from out of town.

I was totes in a mango daze after coming to this place. Be ready to brunch hard. I split the mango curry and mango drizzle pancakes(obviously my food coma erased my memory of the dish title). YUMMMMMY! The curry was just something from another planet, a planet where tasty food conquers all. You just have to taste it. The first bite honestly your brain may not know how to classify, so just keep eating and your words will catch up with you. The pancakes were so fluffy and the mango sauce was just right, not too sweet and not too heavy. I rolled out of here primed for a glorious Sunday nap. A must go.

I stopped by for«quick» breakfast as I had an hour to kill. Luckily it was quite early so I was the only customer(maybe even the first) because later I heard that their service is pretty slow. Well. It’s a café and maybe they do want you to take your time and relax. The place is cute and unique. it has its own style. They converted the kitchen/counter from a food truck. Cool! I ordered French pressed coffee($ 2) with my mango pancakes. I appreciated that they heated up the coffee cup before serving. Very professional. Pancakes with fresh mangoes and mango cream($ 8 for small — 3″ x 2pcs) was good. It was on the dessert category, but said who we can’t have«dessert» for breakfast?! I like that my pancakes were fluffy and chewy, covered by a perfect amount of mango cream that you don’t even think about butter and syrup at all. However the mango wasn’t very aromatic and flavorful. I wonder where the mangoes came from, since we have such beautiful mangoes in Hawaii. Tho it is towards the end of the season, there should still be some good ones. But since there was no server around, and the only person there seemed to be the«chef», whom I had difficulty to communicate with, I did not get the answer. But it’s ok. I did enjoy my time there. I would go back and try the mango curry or just chill with a smoothie or latte.

I feel as if I walked into a novelty restaurant INJAPAN. the food is perfect and I mean picture perfect. There is a lot of attention to to detail in the food and nothing is overlooked. Entering its confusing because there’s a food trailer inside, which is cool, some items for sale and books on the wall. The service by the owner is warm and inviting. Everything we ate was perfect and the tastes were just right. Vanilla Latte was ono, chicken mushroom Gratin was pitch perfect, the macadamia waffles mouthwatering, and he mad us a mochi nori wrap. That was winners. Check out my pics for the details. I am telling everyone about this place.

Located behind Walmart on Makaloa Street. Mango Days is right next to Restaurant Aki and Thai Angel. There is some parking available in the front, but there is also meter street parking on Makaloa. The inside of Mango days is rather random. They have a food truck inside the venue where they make the food. This was an interesting concept. I definitely did not expect to see a food tuck in the venue! Lol. Other then that, they have some fake plants around for decoration. They also have a lot of miscellaneous items all over the place for sale. I was a bit disappointed when I looked over the menu, I was unaware that they stop serving the breakfast menu at 11am D: Boooo, that was honestly the main reason why I wanted to check this place out. However, don’t get too disapointed. They still have a couple breakfast items available on the lunch menu(muffin sandwich and pancakes). The Grub. [[ MANGOCURRY $ 11 ]] [[ ENGLISHMUFFINSANDWICH $ 8 ]] [[ ICEDVANILLALATTE $ 3.95 ]] [[ HOMEMADEICECREAM&PUDDING $ 7 ]] Overall the food was good and I’m definitely going to come back here earlier so I can check out the breakfast menu!

Cute breakfast/brunch spot. I love their interior design because there’s a food truck inside the restaurant and tons of cool Hawaii art work as well as a hipster vibe in here. It feels very cozy and relaxed in here. I ordered the 2 eggs over easy with Arabiki sausage, salad and Jasmine rice. I loved how they use cute Mason jars for their drinks and iced coffees. Next time I want to come back and try their waffles! They also sell home made picked mango here too!

Cute little place to have a nice brunch. The inside was nicely decorated and the food truck gave it a nice vibe. They have all sorts of cute stuff to buy such as dainty jewelry, or even the mason jars that you could write on with chalk. We walked in and the guy was nice and friendly. He gave us menus and everything on the menu was pretty interesting. I got the ham/cheese omelet with strawberry latte smoothie which was good! My friend got the waffles and it looked so good and very filling. Came with 5 waffles nicely stacked, with whipped cream, and cubes of fresh mango! Cute little place and the prices are pretty reasonable, which makes this place worth it!

If you love mangoes and brunch is your favorite meal of the day, this is the place for you! Mango Days was featured in the Metro HNL gastronome section so I figured I would give it a try. The Food — Everything we had was delicious! Fair warning — they only had one cook so the food and drinks took a very long time to be prepared but it was worth it. Of course we were drawn into the restaurant by the beautiful photos of their mango pancakes! So we ordered the pancakes($ 8) and also had: — original and chicken and mushroom doria($ 9) — tandoori chicken($ 14) — mochi soup($ 4) Location/Parking — The restaurant is located on Makaloa St, right across from Wal-Mart. There is a small parking lot in the front of the restaurant and also metered parking across the street by Wal-Mart. Availability — It wasn’t too busy when I went with friends(10 am on a Saturday morning). However, there are only about FIVE tables available, so try your best to MAKE A RESERVATION before coming in. Atmosphere — The atmosphere makes this restaurant stand out from many popular brunch places. The décor is very thoughtfully done with a very cool addition of a food truck in the actual building(so cool!), lots of mason jars, comfy chairs, yarn leis hanging from the ceilings, just very laid back overall.

Stopped by for a brunch with my bro. Parking was easy to get in front of the store, despite such a busy area by the side of Walmart. Entering the store there is literally a food truck in the middle, with seating off to the side. We chose to eat in, and sat down for table service after ordering. We noticed a cool lei hanging, and apparently they sell it. So I took that opportunity to buy a lei for graduation too! No need to stop by longs or a Lei shop later. We got the Mango Pancakes, which had a nice mango sauce on top(the winning part of it). Although only the top pancake has the sauce, there was enough to dip the second pancake into it as well. My bro usually doesn’t prefer mangos, but still loved it. I was an easy win, because I already love mangos. We also got the Berries Pancakes as well, which was also good. Just not as special/uniquely flavored like the mango one. We also shared the Macadamia Nut Waffles, which were just«okay». I wish the waffles had some more macadamia incorporation other than just the small bits as topping. The good thing about the waffle was the honey they add to it, which is something I will always put on my Belgian waffles in the future!

I came here with my best friend, for some brunch. She had been raving about this place for weeks now, and she’s a regular here. So I finally had the time to go with her today, and I can totally see what the hype is all about! I have never seen a café like this before. The décor is very unique, and the kitchen is right in the middle of the café. The kitchen is actually a food truck that is cleverly placed in the middle of the café to give it more of a beach vibe. There are lights strung all around the café, and I think they were really going for that Beach hut café vibe. So there’s that. One full star for the décor. Two stars for the food. One for the presentation, and one for the quality. I got the ham and egg breakfast sandwich which is served with a very soft, yet chewy English Muffin, toasted to have the perfect consistency of crunch on the outside. The veggies used are very fresh, and everything is made on the spot. I HIGHLY recommend the breakfast sandwiches! I also had the ozoni soup to start, which was great, but I wish the mochi came in smaller bits instead of basically one huge chunk. It was still delicious regardless. To drink, I basically inhaled the mango iced tea, which was served in a really cute glass much resembling a mason jar. For dessert, my friend and I split some sort of gigantic mango thing with two mango halves, a scoop of(homemade) mango ice cream with little dices cubes of mango on it, and mango custard, which I believe was also home made. It’s not quite mango season yet, so the mango was actually pretty bland, but they make up for it with their ice cream and custard. Both the ice cream and the custard were delicious, and not too overpowering or loaded with dairy. The mango flavor really comes through in both. The final two stars go to the service. There were only two guys working at the time, but the food came out in a pretty timely manner, despite there only being one guy slaving away in the food truck/kitchen. Plus, you can’t rush brunch anyway. Anyone who expects their brunch to appear at the snap of a finger should just order drive thru food from McDonald’s; quality food takes time. The man who took our order and served us seems to know my friend because he waved at her when we first got there, and seemed to know what she was going to order anyway. He’s very sweet, and very helpful for a first timer like myself who always has a million annoying questions regarding what to order. Overall: 5⁄5 stars PLEASENOTE: There is plenty of parking right in front of the café, which is located just off of Keeaumoku around the corner from Verizon, in that sort of alley between the building where Verizon is and the building where Walmart is.
