The food here looked decent. Good reviews. So I got it. It tasted like cafeteria food. Like military chow hall food. It’s edible. But good? Tasty? Leave you wanting more? No. I wouldn’t go back here. The Mac n cheese tasted like plain noodles. I didn’t taste cheese. The prime rib needed packets of salt and pepper cuz it had no flavor. And not to mention for two people it cost $ 35! I could have headed over to base and got dinner for $ 6 and it would have tasted the same or better. Won’t be going back or recommending.

This place has been around for a long time in the Ala Moana shopping center food court. They have amazing visual displays of yummy meats, salads and sides behind gleaming glass. I have always liked their food but I have revised my opinion downward based on my most recent visit. I ordered the pork ribs which they covered with some sort of glaze before placing the portion on the plate. The glaze looked clear like oil. Either the glaze or the sauce had some sort of artificial flavor and reddish color that made it seem like they were made of Kool-Aid and gave the whole dish a disappointingly cloying aura. Seriously, why can’t people just serve real food? I ordered a zucchini-based vegetable side dish which was plain and good, along with some salad. The salad was fine, but the ranch dressing seemed to have gone bad. It tasted sour and weird. However, I did eat the food(it was late and I was too tired to argue the point) and did NOT get sick from the strange dressing. It is unfortunate that I probably won’t be going back, because their food just looks so great. Portions are large and the price is moderate. I will choose another place that uses more natural ingredients in their food.

Ala Moana Center food court. LARGE portions. You better show up hungry OR have someone to share with OR be prepared to take your leftovers home. Other protein choices besides chicken. Variety of sides. Roasted chicken was very moist.

I didn’t get a good shot of her in the right of this photo(see my photo posted) older lady, not local. Went here craving for meat. They put 3 sides on my plate, then she forgot and said it came with 2 sides and scooped my peas from my plate right back into the tray even with the coleslaw mayo stuck on it. I got my sandwich with cold hard bread and it was placed on the oil from the left over peas and mayo on my plate. We never give bad reviews we love life and food, but this lady was rude, didn’t smile and act like she own the place… I worked in hospitality for over 15 years… I don’t know what to say but not coming here again.

Been here just a little over two years. Always make a special trip here to eat. Today the food was not good and the young lady was not nice(she always looks evil but the food normally makes up for that.). The chicken was dry and lacked its usual delicious flavor. The rice tasted old and rubbery. Maybe I’ll try it again in a couple of months.

Food here is always tasty! Chicken is always roasted nicely. I just wish they would give a little more sides or more sides in general. Side note: it looks really good here! Renovations are nice!

Pricey but I guess anything from Ala Moana Mall is pricey. $ 12 bucks for a ¼ chicken and three sides. It’s ok.

As food places go in the Makai Market Food Court at Ala Moana Center go, Lahaina Chicken Company ranks up there compared to the other eateries. One thing that makes them one of my go to choices when eating at the food court are the portion sizes offered and the price you pay. For what you pay for which is fairly cheap, they offer a lot so I recommend getting the meal as take out so you can take whatever you don’t finish home to eat later. If you want some variety in your meal, I recommend getting the double combo meals which allow you to choose 2 entrees. Main entrees: –roast chicken(obviously) –roast beef –roast pork –fried chicken –baby back ribs Side choices: –mashed potatoes(w/gravy) –rice(white/brown/fried) –macaroni & cheese –mixed vegetables –long rice –corn –mixed green salad As mentioned above, the main thing that is really great about this place are their portion sizes & the price. I personally usually order a double combo meal with roast chicken & roast pork as the entrees when I go here for takeout and it’s enough to make 2 meals for me most times. So want a decently priced meal with lots of food? Come here and give them a try, you won’t regret it!

Don’t know if you folks ever venture out to the food court in Ala Moana… but this past week I was working at a bank in Ala Moana, when I decided to grab some lunch in the food court. I hardly come to Ala Moana now, ever since they started the construction of the Sears side of the mall… there is definitely a parking issue at this mall, so I have been purposely avoiding this place as much as possible if I don’t have to come here. Upon heading to the food court this past week, I was stun as I didn’t know they had totally remodeled the food court(that’s how long it’s been since I’ve eaten here). Very nicely done… nice white ceramic floors, & very modernized. Also notice a few new vendors like — «The Fat Greek», & «Blue Water Shrimp». Upon coming here, I decided to grab a bite at the Lahaina Chicken Company. I’ve had their food many times before, but I must honestly say — «It’s been quite some time since I’ve eaten their food». There use to be a Lahaina Chicken Company at the Honolulu International Airport(Inter-island terminal), but they have now closed that particular outlet. Lucky for me, the Lahaina Chicken Company is still here at the Ala Moana Shopping Center Food Court. Upon walking up to the counter, I ordered a — 2 piece fried chicken plate(I asked for white meat, as I like the Breast & Wing), and with this meal you have a choice of 3 sides… so I picked up — corn, toss salad, & steam vegetables. My co-worker who was with me also picked up a 2 piece fried chicken plate. What can I say about the grub? I must say Lahaina Chicken Company certainly serves a delicious fried chicken! Not only is it very«Meaty», but it is also very juicy too! The batter is nice & crunchy… although they do not offer any spicy fried chicken, the flavors of the fried chicken is pretty good. I must say the 2 piece fried chicken plate($ 9.99) is quite large… in fact it could probably feed 2 people. As I was eating… at the end I was like forcing myself to finish off the plate, as I didn’t want to waste(probably the Chinese in me! Lol!). I probably would have been good with 1 breast, and two sides… Two(2) piece fried chicken plates, & two bottled water… come out to $ 26.14. Small kine expensive for food court food, but at least you get a lot of food! Overall, pretty good fast food plate! Tasty, & they do give you a lot of food! Check out Lahaina Chicken Company in the Ala Moana Food Court!

‘Twas the day after Christmas and Ala Moana was PACKED. It was like the food court was giving stuff away. But alas, not so true. Finding a table was more challenging than finding a stall in the parking lot. Believe that. I stood in line at Lahaina Chicken Company, OK, fine. There was no line. But next to me was the overflow of Sbarro. «Maybe this place isn’t so great» I thought. Nah, couldn’t be… my friend swears they put crack in their chicken. I have no familiarity with the drug, but I assume it’s considered a good thing. I ordered a half roast chicken with three orders of long rice-it’s my mom’s favorite. They were kind enough to give us extra settings so we could share. The chicken was juicy, tender, flavorful, buttery and downright delicious. Even the white meat. I started to compare this to Costco’s famous rotisserie chicken and to be honest, Lahaina was better. Not a inch of Lahaina’s chicken was not bursting with juices.(sorry for the double negative) Anyways, yes, this chicken does have crack in it… or at least it’s pretty darn addicting.

The Food Court over here at Ala Moana Center is always packed. I decided to have lunch from Lahaina Chicken Company. I am not a real meat eater but I ordered their Roast Pork plate. The meat was tender and I loved their cole slaw. The service was good for a fast food place. The service staff could smile more but I guess with the amount of people they serve, it’s hard to keep a smile on your face when you are busy. My daughter and husband also had their lunch from there. The servings are of good size and I had enough to to eat for both my lunch and dinner. I would give this place a thumbs up for their food. They serve roast chicken, hamburger steak as well as the roast pork. You can have either rice or mashed potatoes. The have numerous sides to choose from. I had the cole slaw which was creamy and not too tart. Considering the amount of food that they give, the meals are reasonably priced. I will certainly eat here again.

Lahaina Chicken Company never lets me down! I love rotisserie chicken(I’m torn between which is better… this or Costco) and when I need to get my rotisserie chicken fix this is it. It’s walking distance from my work and a 10 minute drive from my house. Needless to say, I eat here OFTEN. Quarter all white meat, mash potatoes and gravy and double tossed salad with dressing on the side. The portions are decent and the taste is amazing! I love love love this place and recommend it to all of my friends. Side note: The prime rib is pretty good too!

As a healthy option, this is one of the few spots you can successfully achieve diet maintenance. Located in the ala moana food court on the first floor, Lahaina chicken company focuses on, you guessed it, chicken. You can order a fraction to a whole roast chicken and pick from a variety of sides ranging from veggies to starches. We ordered rice, peas, and squashes. The chicken was juicy, not dry, but the skin was not crispy, which renders it almost useless to me. The rice and peas were seasoned and quite tasty on their own. The squashes seemed steamed and left out for awhile, not impressed. Overall, Lahaina is part of my top 5 choices at the food court, but it hasn’t escaped from the pitfalls of most fast food choices.

Long overdue review! Loooooooooooog overdue review! LAHAINACHICKENCOMPANY! Man food! Caveman food! Carnivores rejoice! A meat & potatoes fast-food kinda joint! My word. Who remembers the old location on King St., near Zippy’s? I’m going back a decade now. I remember it well. I always wondered why Lahaina Chicken had no locations in ummm… Lahaina! Yet, here it sits at busy Ala Moana Makai Food Court! The King St. location is a thing of the past! Just like MySpace! LCCAMBIANCE: Not much ambiance. Well, unless if you consider a food-court fancy! You basically stand in line; pick what you want; choose your sides; choose your drink; find a seat in over-crowded Ala Moana Food Court! Yet, it’s awesome having the meats carved right in front of you! LCCGRUB: Pretty straight forward. Not just chicken too! Lahaina Chicken surprisingly serves a pretty dang good Prime Rib! Yup, and many swear it might be the best in the state! Some of my other«man» foods here include: Baby Back Ribs, Hamburger Steak and of course the Lahaina Fried & Roasted Chicken– Always juicy and a «must eat the skin» type of dish! Sides I usually order include Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Garden Greens, Yellow Corn. Mac & Cheese is popular too! Prices are generally in the $ 9-$ 12 range, so not exactly fast-food prices, but a plate can feed two average size peeps! LCCPEEPS: Don’t expect Michelin rated service here! What you can expect is straight-forward and efficiency. Maybe not even a greeting, but remember you are at a busy food-court, yo! So, yes I recommend… LAHAINACHICKENCOMPANY! A fast-food joint with restaurant quality food! There are so many food choices at the busiest food-court in the Pacific, but if I’m being a mall-rat for the day and jonesing for some hearty meat & potatoes… This place won’t disappoint! OVERALLGRADE: 4.0-STARS!(Solid) LIVEALOHA… UnilocalREVIEW #332

This is my go to place in the food court. I’ve tried other places here but for some reason I always get drawn in for Lahaina chicken company, here. Their meat is always juicy and one doesn’t need the gravy they offer for nearly everything. The combos all come with 3 sides which helps one make pretend to be healthier after you make your meat choices. I usually get the roast chicken and prime rib combo with the sides of mixed veggies and mashed potatoes. All around delicious combination! I don’t care for gravy so I usually just use salt and pepper for everything. The employees are also usually quite friendly or at least they don’t give you a weird expression when you say no or yes to certain items. They have great poker faces basically. :D

It took me a while to eat at this place because at first glance it kind of looks like this mediocre mainland chicken franchise called koo ka roo. And the prices off the bat, just looked high. Okay color branding aside, I ate here because my husband has been moonlighting the ribs here whenever I’d be out of town. I must say, this place has solid quality food and servings are enough to feed two people. My family usually gets the ribs or a combo of chicken and ribs and the food consistently tastes like it just came off the grill or broiler. The meat is always juicy, perfectly seasoned and the sides are fresh(not all dehydrated looking like some places). I would definitely choose the food here over a Tony Roma’s or Ruby Tuesday, and it’s cheaper. Lahaina Chicken has more character and heart in their food than any franchise could buy. Like try?

Lahaina Chicken Company is one of my go to spots whenever I’m at the Makai Market(Ala Moana Center) Food Court. Their menu includes roast chicken, fried chicken, prime rib, roast pork, baby back ribs, beef short ribs, soup, salad, and sides. I usually order a mini prime rib, which comes with two sides. My favorite sides are the mashed potatoes(with gravy), mac and cheese, corn, and mixed vegetables. The portions are very generous and the line goes through quickly.

I love Lahaina Chicken! Located in the mall food court, this is my go to place to eat when I’m in the mall and need something quick. They have ribs, prime rib(pretty sure), of course chicken, and a good selection of mouth watering sides to compliment your meat. I always get the quarter chicken with fried rice, mac ‘n cheese, and corn. yes all starches for me please. The chicken is always so juicy and prepared just nice. I always put it on top of my fried rice so the juices seep down into it to give it additional flavor. The mac ‘n cheese is great with everything, but kind of taste weird alone. I’ve ordered a side of mac alone once. never again. And then the corn because I need to pretend like i’m eating somewhat healthy. Their mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables are really good as well. There is always, a line here. ALWAYS!!, but always worth it. A little bit more than what I would like to pay for a plate lunch, and I always complain as I’m purchasing, but soon forget once i sit down and devour my meal. Probably scaring the people around me and being the example parents give their children on how not to eat in public: p. Sitting the the food court can sometimes be a hassle, but be patient. It will come :)

If your lucky enough to come here just when the chicken comes out of the fryer, it should still be hot by the time you reach home if you live nearby. This chicken is always juicy and moist. I really don’t care for the batter though. I just peel it off and push it to the side. The price is more compared to the airport price. Kinda expensive but its really worth it and you do get what you pay for. The customer service is almost like robots. They talk to you in a monotone voice and your lucky if they smile at you accidentally. The food does make up for the lack of customer service but both should go hand in hand.

I ordered a prime rib and chicken plate I paid about $ 11.30 $ you get to choose 3 sides. They have about 9 different sides to choose from. we usually get whatever veggies they have The plate was pretty big, it easily feeds 2 people The prime rib and the gravy was delicious and tender. The chicken was soft and juicy.
