Small coffee shop in the Hyatt hotel near the beach. The coffee choices where are amazing they have all kinds of coffee or juices!) Not a big menu but they still have good coffee and snacks for the morning. I got the chocolate frappé and my friend got a vanilla frappé. It’s different than any other coffee shop. This frappé they actually blend it all the way until their is no ice. Amazing yeah!!? It’s a new coffee shop so if your in Waikiki come down and try something that will awaken your motivation:)

I always go to a Starbucks or Coffee bean whenever I’m looking for coffee but my friend recommended this Kai Coffee a new upcoming coffee shop that they had at the Hyatt while we were staying there. I tried the Kai Latte Signature Espresso Drink which was a macadamia nut latte flavored latte with macadamia nut flavored whipped cream. It ranges from $ 4.25 — $ 5.75 for the 3 different sizes. Normally I don’t get coffee with whipped cream but I wanted to try the whip to see if I could taste the mac nut. But I didn’t taste any difference than other whip cream that made it different from other lattes. Even though it was under the espresso drink section the coffee taste wasn’t strong. It tasted like I was having a flavored iced drink. Overall good taste and variety of local flavors but for functionality of what I needed that day, the coffee just wasn’t up to par that day. But, the Baristas looks pretty sharp with their bow ties. ;)

This was a nice stop on the way to the beach. The coffee was strong and tasted great. The coffee garden gave a nice relaxing ambiance.

Amazing coffee spot located in the Hyatt, in Waikiki. You have to try the Kai latte… soooooo good. Nice presentation with the mac nut whipped cream, and chocolate covered mac nut on top. Set up of the bar area is kind of awkward, but it served its purpose. Another nice coffee spot in Waikiki to relax and enjoy the sites before starting your day.

Location: The coffee shop is located on the ground floor of the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Drinks: They sell a variety of coffee drinks from hot, iced, blended coffee. There signature drink is the Kai Latte which is a macadamia nut latte with macadamia nut whipped cream and a chocolate garnish. I ordered the iced Kai latte and enjoyed the sweet taste but the coffee itself wasn’t strong for me. Price: The price of coffee is comparable to other coffee shops. Food: The sell a variety of pastries, breakfast items and Acai bowl. Seating: They have indoor and outdoor seating. Discount: They offer a 15% discount for those who are staying at the Hyatt. Bring the flyer that came with your key card. Overall, I would recommend this coffee shop as it offers unique flavored coffee that can only be found in Hawaii.

Pretty good. I ordered the Kai Frappé with half the syrup, which was basically a cold blended macadamia nut latte. I found this to be quite comparable to Honolulu Coffee’s blended macadamia nut drink. I like Honolulu Coffee’s blended drink more, since theirs has a deeper coffee flavor, but I think Kai’s has a better overall blended drink where the flavor of the coffee was more toned down to meet the syrup’s flavor, which is more suitable for a sweet tooth’s palate. The drink was pretty expensive, at a little over $ 7, but I think it is a fair price given the tourist area, quality coffee beans, and a fair premium over the not as tasty $ 5 Starbucks Frappuccino. I came here at around 9am on a weekend morning, and somehow they had already run out of their macadamia nut whipped cream. I’m not sure if I would come back to just try the drink again with the whipped cream due to my preference for Honolulu Coffee, but I thought this was a good try. There is not a lot of seating, and the area is quite small. They have a lot of pastry and breakfast options.

Kai Coffee located in the Hyatt atrium has the best tasting coffee and coffee drinks … rich, so smooth and flavorful! The perfect Hawaiian blend of coffee! They also have great pastries, tarts and wonderfully delicious and creative sandwiches, i.e. ham/cheese, BLT, pastrami … not between the usual 2 slices of bread! The very talented Baristas(Tony, Chris & Kaeo to name a few) and all Kai Coffee staff always neat with bow ties, are exceptionally attentive, friendly and are never without a genuine greeting along with smiles to match! They make you feel like family! Look out for their great Latte art! ANDNOW … On Monday, 5/16, a second Kai Coffee just opened in downtown Honolulu near the corner of King St and Alakea St! Great coffees, lattes and coffee drinks, pastries, cookies, creative sandwiches and salads, too! Give them a visit! It’s 5 stars like the first store!

Cute coffee shop with friendly service. Delicious iced kai latte with everything macadamia nut. Would recommend for a quick coffee in the lush shopping center.

Overhyped. This place is located in a shopping center right off Kalakaua Ave. There is an urban outfitters, sanuk store, and a lot of «street» vendors off to the side selling overpriced fruit and jewelry for tourists. Around the center, you’ll find Kai Coffee with a huge open door area on the north side. The interior is very nice, with a good amount of sitting area. It has a very clean look to it. The employees are very nice and patient. This area is very busy, and I doubt you’ll find any free parking around, so if you’re staying in Waikiki, you should walk here. A lot of the reviews mentioned the Kai Latte and the Kai Frappé. I got both on two separate occasions. The Kai Latte was decent. It goes well with the mac nut flavored whipped cream. Overall, I would rate this coffee a 3⁄5. It’s not great, but it’s not bad. After getting slightly disappointed with the Kai Latte, I decided to come back for the Frappé. How could they mess this one up right? Pretty bland for a frappé. It’s an okay coffee joint, but is pretty expensive. About $ 6 for a large. It’s located right in the middle of Waikiki, so the price is justified, I just hoped it had more flavor. I probably wouldn’t come back here, but instead visit somewhere like Island Vintage or Island Brew Coffeehouse, or even McDonalds.

I got their signature Kai latte and it is as good as it looks on the picture posted here! It is pricier than Starbucks and other coffee places but it is so worth it. If you stay at the Hyatt guests get 10% off if you show them the discount card that’s given to each guest. The staff is also very friendly and make cute little foam art on your coffee to brighten up your day. Totally worth to check it out!

I’ve only ever tried the Kai Latte here, but boy is it delicious. Chocolate-covered mac nut on top of the mac-nut flavored whipped cream seals the deal. Friendly and attractive staff, great looking baked goods, and beautiful coffee. Waikiki prices(a medium latte is over $ 5), but the kama’aina discount makes it better. If you’re in Waikiki, skip the Starbucks and go here.

Kai really does live up to the hype! I was desperate for some delicious coffee and found Kai on Unilocal!Service was especially friendly and quite unexpected at a large hotel chain retail area. The staff was able to accommodate special requests with ease! Unilocalers recommended the Kai Latte with macnut flavoring and whipped cream. I ordered the beverage with almond milk and requested reduced sweetness(after an overly sweet and nasty coffee at Island Vintage across the street days prior). The drink was divine! The barista carefully crafted the foam topping despite a long drink queue. The espresso shots were delicious, rich, and fruity. The almond milk was blended perfectly with the macnut flavor! The delicious whipped cream and chocolate covered macnut turned my small latte into a mini dessert! A quick note– the small size is more like a «short» at Starbucks, so I would recommend ordering a medium! As others have mentioned, it will be difficult to find something comparable back home, but Kai does have an online store for whole beans! :)

Conveniently located in the Hyatt Regency courtyard! They also accept hotel charges too. Espressos are delicious, but definitely try the single-origin and Kai latte!

The coffee in Oahu is excellent. I did not have a bad cup. Kai Coffee(2424 Kalakaua Ave, Honolulu, HI96815) and the Honolulu Coffee Company Kiosk(Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel/120 Kaiulani Ave Honolulu, HI96815) are my favorites because they have macadamia nut lattes that I loved. If you are planning a trip to Oahu and looking for recommendations, please see

It’s been a month since we returned to the mainland, and according to my husband«Kai Coffee ruined my life!!!» Lol. Since having his one a day cappuccino during our Hawaii vacation, he’s been on the quest to find a local spot that can rival Kai coffee and apparently, it’s turning into a tougher search than he could have imagined in his wildest dream. So word to travelers visiting Honolulu, don’t miss out on this gem and enjoy you daily caffeine fix there. Because you won’t find anything like it elsewhere. Cool vibe, great brew, and be sure to sit under the waterfall tables! We got a cappuccino and the espresso was strong and frothed rich. All their lattes were delicious.

A Nice quaint coffee shop for those staying at the Hyatt. To me it wasn’t the best coffee on Waikiki. My Kai latte didn’t have that strong coffee flavor but they do have soy and coconut milk which lactose intolerant people can appreciate.

My girlfriend and I wanted to try something new. We yelled coffee shops near our area and Kai Coffee popped up with really good reviews. Well for sure their coffee hold up to their 4.5 star status. Location– it would’ve been nice if someone or the coffee shop itself advertise that they are located in the Hyatt hotel… We had a hard time finding this location. I had to literally get out of the car and walked around. Of course I used my map on my iPhone. Coffee– Omgosh, we ordered the Kai Latte macadamia nut(half sweet, I don’t like my coffee sweet with extra shot) was the bomb… It definitely made it on my top 10. Their coffee definitely started our morning off right!!!

Kai Coffee is a nice get away from the everyday Starbucks or Coffee Bean routine! If you’re on vacation or just hanging out in Waikiki, i’d recommend this small coffee shop. Great freshly made coffees, lattes, etc. My friend and I got the latte and the green tea latte. First off, the quality of the lattes were on point. You can watch as your drink is being made and the barista showed us our drinks as he created beautiful latte art! I think he said his name was Tony? Lol He was very friendly. Kai Coffee also has an assortment of pastries if you’re hungry.

During our stay at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa, we decided to try the Kai coffee located in the hotel lobby since the closest Starbucks or Coffee Bean are a few blocks away. The coffee shop is like any other coffee shop that serves traditional coffee drinks. The prices are kind pricey but that is expected in Waikiki. The service is great. The employees are very friendly and accommodating. They have a special latte called the Kai Latte. It is a macadamian flavored latte with macadamian flavored whipped cream. It is a delicious. A must try if you visit Kai Coffee.

Kai Latte — hot if you want the latte art but cold would be good too! It’s sweet and nutty and so beautiful to look at. The barista working there was so friendly. I’m here for. A week and will be Coming in to try other drinks. It’s located on the ground floor of the Hyatt regency and if you’re a Hyatt gold passport member you save 15%!!
