The food is good, they are good for the burgers. I get the Maui burger. Average prices.

I love me some cheeseburgers & football-lol The workers there are super chill, really nice. The good thing about waiting for your table is the bar is right there by the door & you can watch sports while waiting =) You have a choice to sit outside or inside, both have BIG screen tv’s so you are not going to miss your game. Their sandwich is really thick(I have to cut it in 4) & juicy, the fries are good too. If you are super thirsty like me get the endless mug(unlimited refill, sadly not on the beers-lol). They do have some interesting beer selection too that I’ve never heard of. They’re located by Mai Tai’s & Tsukiji’s.

Great experience and prompt service while sitting at the bar. Poke was delicious! The seasoning was something we looked up; it was so good. We had two different burgers, both were delicious. Hula burger and pipeline. Definitely would recommend for a good solid burger.

Island burgers always has great customer service and will bend over backwards to help make your experience better! Indoor and outdoor seating to make you comfortable. The food is amazing, kids meals are filling for all ages, burgers and chicken are always super juicy! The fries are never greasy and the island seasoning is awesome! Drinks are always good never too strong, and are always as full as they can be. Overall I have enjoyed island burgers for my entire 3 years in Hawaii! One of my favorite places to eat!

Just wanted to give a shout-out for Happy Hour(3pm-close) here: it’s great! On this day we had… Nachos($ 1.89): yes, that low price is right — great deal for a sizeable load of restaurant nachos(not your supermarket nachos) with refillable chopped tomato salsa that just might have been handmade… Hawaiian /Kalua Pork Sliders($ 10.69): soft buns, great-tasting meat with BBQ sauce and fried onions with coleslaw — a nice to enjoy or share while listening to the live music from across the way!

A friend of mine recommended this restaurant for their burgers. He said that they give a lot of food and he was right! You get refills on the fries and soft drink. And I didn’t have to ask for refills on my drink but I did have to ask for a refill on the fries. But to the waitress’ credit she brought a small basket of fries for the party. That was pretty cool I think. Where can you get refills on fries like that? I ordered the Hula burger which is basically a mushroom burger with Swiss cheese and mayo. The burgers here come with fries. They cost around $ 16. But, again, you get endless fries! I added bacon which is basically two strips for $ 1.20. But, hey, they have higher rent to pay here. So, I can forgive that. The burger patties were just right and appeared to be a third of a pound. So if you come here to eat, be sure to come in hungry as the burger filled me up. I didn’t really taste the cheese but I really tasted the beef and that’s what matters most. It was definitely not a McDonald’s prefab burger patty. It is better than the Teddy’s Bigger burgers that I’ve had. It is not crumbly. The texture was that of freshly made burger patty. Not the hard, dry, texture lacking fast food burger. It is just like home-made burger. The fries seemed home style, too, but it did seem too perfect like it was one of those frozen food service type. But they were good. They were thick cut and not greasy like other restaurant fries. You can ask for an Aioli sauce to go with the fries. The bacon was thicker than the typical fast food topping. It was kind of greasy but tasty. It left a drizzle of fat down my fingers as I ate my burger. It was a satisfying meal already and the bacon was just gravy on top. Where this burger shined was the mushroom. And, boy, was there a lot of mushroom. There were mushroom overflowing from the burger as shown in my picture. They were sauteed just right but a bit too salty. But I loved the flavor that they brought out of every tender morsel. I had to pick at the mushroom like it was a side in itself. The wait was about a half hour. It was a Sunday and football was plastered all over the flat screens. It was definitely NFL ticket here. So there was some noise from patrons oohing when their favorite team made a play. Yes, it can get quite noisy here. If you don’t like that, I might suggest coming at a non-NFL day. What I didn’t get was that all the female waitresses wore short shorts. It is definitely not a Hooters type bar and grill. But they do have alcoholic beverages and the prices are typically high. A single serving beer was about $ 5.60. You can get a whole case for that much at Foodland! But it is what it is. So, if you love your burger, you might want to try this place. But be aware that the wait time may be half an hour. But if you go at an off hour, you might get in sooner.

Pros: –Accessible: Located at the 3rd floor of Ala Moana –Great french fries: It’s not like the small kind of french fries the fast food places give – it’s an upgraded and thicker version of that. Very crunchy and fresh too –Burgers: Very filling, but kind of on the greasy side. You can also customize your order if you have food allergies or want it well done. –Awesome customer services! –iDcard Discount: 20% off food and non alcoholic beverages. Up to 4 persons per iDcard. Food Review:(3⁄5 Stars) The Swiss, lettuce, mayo, and sauteed Mushrooms burger I got which was supposed to be medium, ended up being medium rare which I don’t like, but nonetheless, it was still a tasty burger. The burger was on the oily/greasy side too.

The hosts do not know what they are doing. I put my name in and stood 5 feet from the host stand. Waited 20 minutes and watched as people that came in after us were seated before us. Asked the host where my name was on the list. He said he called us 3 times! What a clown, I was standing right in front of them. No one in our group heard my name called. The assistant manager also said he called us. The only thing that saved this review from being a 1 star was that our waiter, Ward, was good. The food was okay but kind of messy. They should put a toothpick in the burger to stop it from falling apart. Do think I will be going back.

Decided to have dinner on a Friday night for pau hana. Wait was about 15 min or so for 2 people since it was quite busy for people trying to have dinner here which was expected for a mall restaurant. We were greeted by our server who happen to be a newbie as he had mentioned but did a great job in serving us. There’s so many options to choose from burgers, sandwiches, tacos, salads, bowls and much more. My boyfriend got the Mavericks which is a typical american burger with BBQ sauce. I got the Big Wave with cheese but substituted it with chicken instead of a burger. Both got onion rings as our sides as we shared a big tray of french fries. Food came out quick, halfway through us finishing that side of french fries which btw, were freshly crisp fries! The portions were quite big as I didn’t get to finish mines and ate only half. I wish there were more onion rings though but the french fries filled me up so it wasn’t too much of a big deal. For $ 12-$ 13 a meal wasn’t too bad for the quality food we got. I wouldn’t mind returning again whenever I feel like treating myself to a burger.

Islands is one of the places to stop on by for a quick drink and bite to eat. I’ve never had a problem getting a seat even during dinner and lunch. Though I prefer sitting in the bar area. Seating has a great appeal. You can grab a seat outside on a nice day(fans above), grab a huge table inside or grab a seat in the bar area(at the bar or bar seating). Atmosphere is always good here, especially during games. But even without games always a good place to sit back and relax. Parking is ample with all the parking in Ala Moana. Food isn’t the best, though they have an assortment of options. I prefer the tacos to the burgers personally but they have at least 10 burgers to choose from or make it your own way. Typical bar food to munch on while watching a game. Service however was absolutely great. Sitting in the bar waiting for friends, all 3 of the bartenders made their way out from behind the bar and around to all the tables to check on everyone. Drinks served within a minute of our orders and we weren’t even sitting at the bar. Very attentive and food came out quickly. Though there are so many other food places around that I would recommend over it, this place has its appeal. Stick to the bar, have a drink and some apps. Service 6⁄5 Food 3⁄5 Seating 5⁄5 Atmosphere 5⁄5 Parking 5⁄5 Wait time 5⁄5

We were strolling through AlaMoana today and decided to have lunch here at Island Burgers. I have never been here before and didn’t know what to order. Our server was just awesome! He recommended his favorites and gave his much appreciate opinion on certain dishes. He kept all of the refillable drinks coming and the endless fries coming. Not to mention, my shot of vodka that I ordered was literally running over! That was a great pour! We ordered many different burgers and they were all great. There was not one thing that we ordered that was bad. My pics will show what we ordered along with what it looked like. Along with pics of the menu that describes what came in each burger. I think the best part of the meal was actually the service. Our servers name was Ward. Hopefully if you try this place, Ward is your server!!!

Malibu burger, turkey burger of course, not bad with apple smoked bacon. Can’t beat the endless fries though.

Islands Restaurant is one of my favorite burger places due to its location and food. It is located on the top floor(4th) of Ala Moana near Tsukiji and Mai Tai. The prices for the food is pretty good. I can see its worth but if cheaper then it would be better. I usually get the Kilauea burger because I like my burgers a little spicy. It comes with jalapeños, pepper crusted burger with onions, tomatoes, and lettuce. It is cooked to however you want and pretty juicy too! The sweet potato fries are pretty damn delicious! I like getting that instead of the regular fries since it is really good flavor. They also give out chips and salsa. The chips are fresh that it’s as if they just made them. The salsa is pretty good as well. I wish it was a just a bit spicier but still good. The service of the restaurant is better than good but could be better. I feel that some of the waiters/waitresses could be happier or it sometimes feel like they would rather serve tourists or people with more money. I feel this sometimes but it’s understandable. I still tip good :)

I didn’t care for this restaurant simply because the food wasn’t agreeable with me I don’t «hate» it but I’d never come here again. Here’s why: Nachos. Very limited on ingredients and portion. He cheese was clumped together. Buffalo wings. They were actually ok. So don’t even know why I’m writing that. Kids Meal will only come with a drink if the order-er is under 12. The macaroni salad was very starchy and tasteless. The pork sandwich was alright. The bun was really good but the slaw inside didn’t really compliment the sandwich and it could come with pickled. Something was wrong with the grilled cheese sandwich. Compared to Darcie’s version, all four girls were dissatisfied

On my most recent visit to Island’s, I stopped by for HH after a very stressful day! The bar seats were the only available seats for the first-come first-serve happy hour so we gladly took them and ordered up chips & salsa w/a side of guac as well as several alcoholic drinks off their HH menu. Our bartender/server, Ji Soo, was super friendly and quick with all our orders! Great experience to end a chaotic day!

Finally went back after 2 months. we live central side n with the way traffic as been, its a drag to drive out there. BUT, we made out… Lets start with the moment we got there, there was a line, so I expected to have to wait a few minutes but we didnt have too:))).We were immediately seated. The location of the seating didnt matter to us rather it was inside or out. Our waiter(Andrew, ii believe was his name) wasnt as out going. He didnt really seem to have much customer service or maybe he was just tired being it was a little late. He wasnt as sociable, seemed like he was just trying to get thru his job. Anyways, We ordered the MAUI Burger and of course that was DELICIOUS, we also ordered the Poke. This time around it wasnt as tasty BUT still good. It tasted like it was missing something… For dessert we ordered the Kona Pie, that was good. I am not a sweets person but my fiancé demolished the whole thing:)).Its really rich in flavor… Our order wasnt that big this time around… I gotta say tho, the young lady that was clearing our tables was so lively that I loved the vibe she was giving off. The food made up for our servers lack of personality. I work in Customer Service so to me its a BIG deal… As we were getting ready to leave, I seen our waiter sitting down at another table which seemed to have been some friends I assume. The thing that got me, was from the moment we got there this is how it went. He took our order, dropped our food at the table, asked if we wanted dessert n gave us our bill… NOCHECKINGONUSNOTHING, I even asked for a water refill, and he clearly seen it everytime he passed our table, BUTNOACKNOWLEDGEMENT. It seemed to me he was trying to avoid all eye contact or to even talk… He even walked by our table n seen that I have signed our tab, looked at it n proceeded to walk pass. SO… seeing him sitting at a table with some friends socializing REALLY upset me because of the lack of service we received… I rated this place a 5 star because the food is DELICIOUS&EVERYONE shld try this place out. I wake up dreaming of their burgers, LMAO!!! && just because Andrew was lacking service, the other waiters/waitresses are really lively:))

I’ve been to Island’s so many times that I’m very surprised I actually haven’t written a review for them yet! When my boyfriend and I are stumped trying to think of a fun and(relatively) cheap eat, Island’s has truly become out default. They have a happy hour menu that is from 3PM to close every evening in the bar area, and we always get a huge platter of cheese fries for only $ 5! How can you beat that? Between the two of us, we always split the cheese fries and an order of their sliders(also on the happy hour menu) and I always leave VERY full and satisfied. I’m not even sure what it is, but I am absolutely addicted to their cheese fries(you may be able to tell as I’ve already said the words«cheese fries» 3 times in the past few seconds.) Staff is always very friendly and accommodating, my friends and I accidentally came here half an hour before closing time and took our time not knowing they were closed and we weren’t rushed or made to feel pressured to leave at all(although I’m very very sorry when I realized they had closed the restaurant and were only waiting around for our party! yikes!) Open seating at the bar and tall tables in the bar area are available for those who don’t want to wait for a family table and are there to just grab a quick bite and a delicious drink. Another recommendation for my 21+ friends– their punch bowl serves 2 and packs a nice amount of alcohol deliciously masked in sweet juice. Overall, if you’re in the area and shopped up an appetite I definitely recommend checking out Island’s at least once. I can almost guarantee you’ll come back for those cheese fries ;)

A decent choice when shopping at Ala Moana. The burgers are competently done, the service is quick and friendly. They will fill up your drinks and water right away. The only compliant is that they can’t get the temperature right, I ordered medium and my wife order medium rare, both came out to medium well. Note that you have to ask for the endless fries, the waiter/waitress won’t offer it.

Islands is a great pick for casual dining at Ala Moana. There’s usually less of a wait than CPK& if you’re not in the mood for other nearby fare(Italian: Mac Grill, Shrimp: Bubba Gumps) on that level. We usually sit in the bar area on one of the high tops. You seat yourself if there’s available tables. Plenty tv’s for my husband to watch. We’ve always had better service here than compared to the main dining area. Plus, in the bar area, there’s this crazy happy hour from 3PM to close. $ 1.75 for a huge basket of crispy chips and salsa($ 2.50 for a large side of fresh chunky guac)…it’s so good. And the chips are refillable. $ 4.99 for a cheese quesadilla – filling and served with a tomato/onion slaw and sour cream. Their selection of burgers and wraps are pretty varied. I like to sub mine out for a turkey burger patty. If you get your burger with fries, that is also refillable! My favorite dish here is the Cobb salad(on the menu they spell it Kobb I think). It’s delicious! And the dressing is awesome. They also have a wider selection of soft drinks for $ 2.99 that are bottomless too. Pretty good deals here!

I feel like we came here on an off night. We originally wanted something else, but the wait was too long. We put our name on this list and sat outside. About 10 minutes later we went in hoping we were close to next. We decided to snag a high top table in the bar area once we realized Happy Hour was only in the bar. Once we sat down we had a server right away. We both ordered drinks and one appetizer. Our drinks were served very fast and we looked over the menu. I was undecided and wanted to choose once my husband knew what he wanted. Fast forward 20 minutes when someone finally came back to take our order.(We both closed our menus hoping that would clue them in) he ordered the fish tacos and I got the Maui Burger. Our food came about 15 minutes after we ordered. I cut my burger in half, took one bite and it all fell apart. I felt that it was very messy and not served with anything to hold it together. It had too much mustard and I asked for medium well but feel it wasn’t cooked that way. My husband got the fish tacos and said they weren’t anything to write home about. They had too much fluff and fell apart immediately. The tortilla was a weird thick texture and the flavor wasn’t there. All in all, neither of us were satisfied but are willing to try again.
