Pretty sure I’ve been upsold for something both more expensive and less valuable than I wanted.
We stopped by the hotel’s concierge desk, expecting to speak with a hotel employee.
Asked for a Pearl Harbor tour. Only when the agent called the tour company did she mention that she worked for a separate company altogether.
We’d expected a 4– or 5-​hour tour. She mentioned that the tour took all day. Only when we got on the tour did we learn that the tour was actually 3 different activities, and only one was the tour that we wanted.
Feels as if the agent kept the wool over our eyes to push into us a longer (and more expensive) tour than we wanted. Boo.
