Most people dread coming to places like this. If you’re going to an ears, nose and throat doctor it’s normally not a good sign. Besides an occasional sinus problem and my other half telling me I have selective hearing, the way I figure was that I’m paying for medical coverage so why not get checked out since I never been to a specialist before. I made a appointment which was easy and being in the Kuakini Medical Center it was convenient for me since I work in Kalihi. Dr Chock was very professional and checked out my ear canal and sinus cavity. To my surprise he did find some polyps in my nasal cavity, but if caught early enough when it’s small it can be controlled by a prescription nasal spray. Polyps can cause a lot of problems such as breathing difficulties, sinus infections, facial pain and a lot of more problems. It’s noncancerous, but regardless who likes to live in discomfort and worrying about catching a cold easily because of the polyps. *Bottom Line* *Sometimes it’s better to get checked out and not wait for that big surprise when it’s too late*
