First time ever eating at Carl’s Jr. Always saw the commercials of those big juicy burgers. And this place did not disappoint. The burger was freshly made, huge, juicy and tasted really really good. Way better than any other«fast food» burger out there. Definitely hitting it up again before going back to Kona.

The only Carl jrs on Oahu! Bear in mind this is still fast food, but Carl jrs is better than most fast food and this place tastes as good as on the mainland. It’s in a little gas station and has very little seating but if you need some fast food and want something good this is a good place for it. Side note there is currently a shirtless guy with a face tattoo eating here now as well, he has other tattoos too of course but the face one is the one that stands out. So super classy place lol

Great place for a burger and fries. A little pricey but worth the price for the size of the burgers and fries. Definitely my stop whenever I crave a good burger. Closet thing to a in and out burger. The service is great.

Very surprised to find a nice clean place to enjoy a great burger in a gas station setup, but we were happy to give it a try. I could barely finish my meal but it sure was great. The burgers are nice sized so careful! We’ll be back!

I work near this Carl’s. The employees are always nice, and you get the expected consistency and pricing of a chain fast food joint. They don’t offer salads at this location(I guess on the mainland and maybe other Oahu locations they do?) but I completely don’t care about that, heh.

In my opinion Carl’s Jr has better than average fast food. It is located in an odd place, inside a gas station near Sand Island Access Road, however it has the best staff ever and you can shop their food and sundries while you wait for your order. The burgers are always juicy and have a lot of flavor. The onion rings and fries are great too, haven’t had anything bad there so far. I always see people eating this large taco salad that looks delicious too but I haven’t been game enough to try it yet. The prices are a bit more expensive than an average fast food place, but I believe the cost is justified.

Ok I normally dont go for the advertising and resisted the tempting fat fresh juicy burgers they show on TV for months. I finally broke down and stopped in a Carls Jr on way back from airport. To say I was disappointed would be a huge understatement. This place is in a gas station,(which should have been a red flag) and needless to say the burger not only did not, in the slightest, resemble the one presented on advertisements, it was completely tasteless and totally Junk Food. Will not go again.

Location is a little weird being inside a gas station… but it is a full on Carl’s jr! Thank god! It’s still fast food… but on another level. There’s a few tables inside for dining in… seems to be busy every time we go in So the word is out!

I love this location. Well actually the location is a little Shady and creepy(near the prison). But I love that it’s in a gas station with much more than just carls! The food here is also to die for! It’s a little expensive but it’s a carls jr In walking distance from china town so that’s awesome. They also have to fill Menu if a real carls jr and that’s impressive. It’s one of my favorite places to Go for a walk and eat!

A Carl’s Jr. located inside a gas station? Say what?! Yup, 76 Gas Station on Nimitz, airport bound just before you get on the viaduct. I remember going to Carl’s Jr. at Pearlridge & Kahala Mall way back when & they made some pretty tasty burgers. Will this place be the same? My first impression? Very high testosterone level here even though they had two ladies manning the counter, lol. I suppose the gas station atmosphere had something to do with it. So far I tried the famous star burger & the jalepeno turkey burger. Instead of regular fries you can upgrade your choice of sides. They have sweet potato fries, criss cut fries, onion rings, fried zucchini or chili cheese fries. The upcharge ranges from 40 cents to $ 2.99 depending what you get. So a combo will run between $ 8-$ 11 or more if you go Medium or Large and/or if you get the chili cheese fries. Not as good as I remembered probably because I took mines to go. Best eaten on the spot otherwise it gets cold fast. They have about four tables and a long counter with chairs if you want to eat in. Parking is limited, about four stalls in the front & four in the back. Been fortunate to snag a spot no problem. Can enter from Nimitz or in the back from Puuhale Place. Good place to stop in if your heading to the airport. They serve breakfast too. The loaded breakfast burrito peaked my interest. Open from 5:30am or 6:00am & closes at 10:00pm or 11:00pm depending on the day of the week.

I’ll start by saying my husband is from California. He loves his Carl’s Jr.(Yes it’s not In-N-Out) BUT the Western Burger is his burger of choice. When he met me in the Mid-West he was literally looking at the Hardees sign like someone Punked him. He was even more disappointed that Hardees and Carl’s Jr. do not have the same menu. Fast-forward to us moving to Hawaii. We are driving around looking what is on the island, taking in everything. All of a sudden… «YESSSSSSSS» We have a Carl’s Jr.” He looks at me. Sad face… since I prefer Hardees. We finally came here the other night after a concert. Pretty good grindz. He got the Western Burger and I had some good onion rings with a Bacon cheeseburger. We waited about 5 minutes. Not bad. I haven’t ate at Carl’s Jr. enough to compare it well, but it’s about the same.

FULLDISCLOSURE: My workplace is closely associated with this business. The only Carl’s Jr. on Oahu, as far as I know. The only other one in the state is on Maui. I love the criss-cut fries. It has just the right amount of seasoning and crunch. My burger of choice is usually the Western Bacon Cheeseburger. It’s a respectable sized burger, packed with a couple of fried onion rings, bacon, cheese, and BBQ sauce. I usually get mine without the sauce though, as I think the BBQ flavor overpowers everything else. This place gets pretty busy during lunchtime, but most people do take out. They have a a couple of tables to sit at and a counter. Next to the tables is their soda fountain, where you can get free refills, always a big plus. If you have their Kama’aina Rewards loyalty card, food purchases are great to use it with. Their loyalty card is free and doesn’t cost anything to use or have. Every couple of months, they showcase a new item, like buffalo blue-cheese fries or sea-salt and caramel milkshakes. Parking can be an issue, but since people are usually doing take out, you can wait a few minutes for a spot to open up.

My boy bestie really wanted Carl’s Jr the other day. I thought it’d be hilarious to eat at a gas station so I agreed. He was so enthusiastic that I was really expecting like the holy grail of hamburgers but alas… it was not so. I was über disappointed that they were sold out of the criss-cut(waffle) fries. Sad face. There may or may not have been actual tears shed by my boy bestie… I settled on the sweet potato fries instead to go with my «Western Bacon Six Dollar Thickbuger»(although in Hawaii it’s more like a Nine Dollar Thickburger). That bbq sauce was really sweet with a little tang. And there was so much of it! It was like«Did you want burger with your sauce?» too much. It was bbq sauce burger soup. And I was wearing white. OFCOURSE I WAS. The previously mentioned sweet potato fries were a little over cooked but at the same time were oddly soggy. Meh it’s fast food so I suppose I should have adjusted my expectations slightly. I’ve never been to a Carl’s Jr. on the mainland(because hello In-N-Out) but I’d be willing to give them another try. For the Criss-Cut Waffle fries if nothing else.

I hardly ever Unilocal about fast food restaurants, partially because I rarely eat at them. However, we’re in the process of moving and it’s just easier to go grab something and I was craving a burger. On the mainland, Carl’s is one of my faves, so I decided to try it out. My expectations were not too high since this location is inside of a convenience store at a gas station, but I must say this was a great experience. Not only did the food taste just as good as it does on the mainland but the service was excellent as well. Anybody that remembers my first name and calls me by it as I’m leaving definitely gets high marks in my book!

One of the very last two Carl’s Jr. restaurants on the Hawaiian islands… there is another Carl’s Jr. on Maui, both restaurants are located in a gas station/convenience store. How’s that for a burger joint??? This past Saturday, my friend had suggested we drop by Carl’s Jr., because we didn’t have it for a very long time… I kinda miss Carl’s Jr. — ever since Carl’s Jr. shut down it’s Kahala Mall store, I hardly get a chance to go to this burger joint, as it’s kinda out of the way. But this past Saturday, it was the perfect day to have me a Western Bacon Cheese Burger with Onion Rings! What can I say, the Western Bacon Cheeseburger is a Manly burger… we don’t waste time with veggies… it’s just meat, cheese, bacon, onion rings, &BBQ sauce! Yummmmmmmm!!! Carl’s Jr. onion rings are the best!!! If you haven’t ever tried it… you should!!! We ordered Onion Rings to go with our combo’s, but when we got our order, they got it wrong, & brought us Crisscut Fries. :( But I gotta give this place a 5 star rating for their service! After letting the guy know that they made an error by bringing us Crisscut Fries, instead of the Onion Rings we had ordered… no complaints, he took our order back & corrected it right away, and he even gave us a free order of Crisscut Fries! How’s that for great service!!! Nothing better than free food huh??? Lol!!! The restaurant only has about 4 or 5 tables, and a long bar type table. There is an open soda fountain… all you can guzzle down! The parking outside is limited, I wanna say about 5 or 6 stalls. Lots of traffic(people) at this gas station/convenience store, but the people working seemed to be very efficient at their job.

Poor Carl… this location is the only one left on the island! My husband always gets swayed by their ads in the MidWeek. I honestly am not a fan of Carl’s but I do admit they have decent turkey burgers and a HUGE beverage selection(my husband is a fan of both their cherry coke and diet dr pepper). They always have new/different types of burger promotions — Jim Beam burger, southweset burger, and etc. They always have something new up their sleeve, so much so that I think they don’t have a go to favorite for people so people don’t want to go unless they see something new that catches their eye. They do not have the holding power on people like a Big Mac or Whopper does. Their fries are mediocre and nowhere near addiction inducing like McDonald’s. I wouldn’t come here all the time. However, when they have that ONE burger that catches my eye, I will come here. My husband drags me here when there’s a good coupon or he’s got a hankering for diet dr pepper. Their service is meh but it’s fast food so what do you expect. Also, stick to buying Carl’s Jr drinks because the gas station drinks are very overpriced, even for a gas station. PS. Since this is attached to a 76 Gas station, you can use your Kamaaina Reward points to buy your burger I think. We did that the last time… it’s the only time buying gas gave us a reward?!

This place takes gas station food to the next level. I had the Jim Beam Bourbon Six Dollar Burger single combo. Basically, any burger here can be made a double. Anyway, the burger was good, but I’m not sure if I’m a fan of the Jim Beam sauce. Fries were good and the drink selection is huge, including Cherry Coke!
