Went in to Ben Bridge Time Works for a battery replacement on a SeaMaster watch I had purchased from the store. They gave me a couple of choices, a minimum(if it was more they would call) of three hundred dollars and four months to replace it, or a month for and forty-five dollars, but they would require me to a sign a waiver stipulating they weren’t responsible for their work, and the watch wouldn’t be waterproof.(Remember this is a SeaMaster) Needless to say, I exercised a third option, and took my business elsewhere.

Mike Kwok and the team at Ben Bridge Timeworks Ala Moana are awesome and easy to work with. If they don’t know you they usually approach with a very reasonable amount of time. I walk in their with my surf shorts and tee shirt no prejudging at all just service and explanation on the different watches. I bought my timepiece a year ago after a small fiasco with a real yet partially fake timepiece. Mike was awesome explaining and working with what I wanted not what he wanted to sell. Thankyou Mike and Timeworks Ben Bridge Ala Moana a little late in reviewing but I couldn’t go without giving the 5STARS you guys deserve. MAHALO!!!

After the fiasco with Tourneau, called Ben Bridge and was assisted by Yuki, who asked their watchmaker if he could change the battery on my specific brand of watch. He could! She also told me up front that if I was coming in, to do so before 11 a.m. because the watchmaker would be moving to their other store at 11 a.m. Now THAT’S customer service! Got into the store before 11 a.m. and had my battery changed in less than 10 minutes! And for only $ 25, what a deal! Very happy to get that errand completed quickly and reasonably priced, without being given the run around!

I was very sad for them, service was non-existent and they sell watches I’m shopping for a friend that are over $ 150,000.00. After waiting and being ignored I left and will work with other shops! Sad… One star was the choice but threw another star for a beautiful shop with an amazing selection!

I came in here to get my rings cleaned and they not only did it for free, they offered to clean my dirty earrings as well! Good customer service for sure.

Went to their store at closing. The repairman was gone for the day. The salesman knew I had a serious watch problem. He took it upon himself to dry it out so I could prevent major problems. I was so pleased. He saved my vacation! I offered to pay but her refused. Thank you so much!

Tempting to walk into TimeWorks! Nice displays, friendly, attentive customer service… Take the ‘ol Submariner in for cleaning and never get an attitude. They will happily clean it for you, no questions asked! When I had to have some work done on it, there was absolutely no question in my mind that they would be the ones to do it. Came back good as new and I was very pleased. Very professional, go see ‘em!

Had a great time chatting with James P. Impressive selection– they’re an official Panerai dealer, and they had every Rolex I could think of– Deep Sea, Milgauss, GMTIIc. No pressure– the 4% sales tax here could really push you over if you were on the fence about any of these watches.

Just a short comment about the higher level Swiss watches sold though authorized dealers(like Bridges, for example) — The Swiss watch industry is highly controlled, from manufacturing to retail outlets. Authorized dealers have little wiggle room as regards discounts they can give(ALWAYS ask for a discount anyway, the max allowable is around 10%, depending on brand), and other things common with other products. That’s why you will never see a Rolex Sale Going On Now, or 50% Off On Omegas, This Week Only! For the admittedly lucrative privilege of advertising as an authorized dealer of any of the big Swiss marks, they must adhere to a fairly strict set of rules, including taking a set number of watches every year, whether they can sell them or not. This is where all those brand new high-end Swiss watches come from on Ebay, all in their original boxes, with papers, going for about half their«street» value — they’re surplus watches that couldn’t be unloaded in lean years, sold outside the ridged Swiss sales and distribution system — the famous Gray Market in Swiss watches, perfectly legal, but there is a downside — repair of these watches at authorized repair centers is impossible, often because serial numbers have been removed and other alterations make to protect dealers from watchmaker retaliation. And, nobody wants to lose their«Authorized Dealer» status, especially in a juicy market like Honolulu. Save yerself a lot of trouble down the road, and buy from an authorized dealer — you’ll be glad later.

9÷1÷08: Accolades for Lawrence who helped me out this afternoon. I stopped in needing to get my watch serviced(water somehow seeped inside). He explained our various options to service it and we were a bit overwhelmed with spending $ 150 to open it up and re-waterproof it. As we thought about our options, he took the watch and quickly fixed it(dried it out and checked the seals). He ran the watch under a pressure test and confirmed that no leaks were present, this meant that the overhaul wasn’t needed! Hooray for a salesperson who took care of us and wasn’t solely focused on a commission. I’ll look for you when I’m back to upgrade my watch!

This place is pimp. Everyone in Hawaii, inclusive of the staff at BBTW are super nice and unpretentious. I strolled in from Waikiki Beach, with salt stains on my shirt and sand on my sandles, and they still treated me like a reputable customer. The salesman did comment on my 217, however ;) They carry my two favorite brands, Panerai and IWC in that order. They actually had a Big Pilot(newer dial) in stock and I got to try on that bad boy in the metal. Not too many PAMs, but I was able to put my name on a list for a model I’m after. Hopefully Lawrence is able to hook a brotha up. Cuz I need a good excuse to fly back! Top notch. non WIS friendly.

I love window shopping here. For me, this is the equivalent of chicks traipsing through a jewerly or designer bag store. I love ogling at wrist watches that cost as much a luxury car. I also find it interesting that sales associates here profile their customers by automatically steering their eyes toward a person’s wrist to see what type of watch they’re sporting. I get the feeling if one is wearing a plastic Casio one won’t receive much service.

Nothing beats the Ala Moana watch stores. And Time Works is no exception. What brings me back is the diversity of the different watch brands. I like more of the uncommon brands that you dont hear about, and this place has them. While in the area though, check out neiman marcus’ selection. Sales people here are very nice too, however some may be snobs, which is expected of a high-end retail store.

Bought a couple Rolexs from here and had good experiences with whoever became my sales person. I guess most of the older«experienced» sales people don’t expect a 21 year old at the time to buy anything. The younger guy that did end up helping me was great. The second guy who helped me was cool too. Still waiting for a SS Daytona lol. Damn waiting list.
