Excellent poke … always fresh … portion is right, never a long wait … what more can you ask for.

It’s a little kiosk type establishment in the middle of the food court, but don’t let the size fool you, because it’s good food. I ordered the chirashi bowl and was blown away by the generous portion of fish with exactly the right amount of rice. Mmmmmm… The only qualm I had was that there were too many green onions as garnish, but the lady noticed me picking them off and said that«next time» she’d leave them off for me. And I came back the next day, she remembered, and it was delicious! I’m a big fan!

In the Ala Moana mall food court. A great place for a quick bite while shopping. My favorite is the Poke Bowl & at under $ 10, it is a great value meal.

I was a little skeptical getting poke at a food court, but the poke was very good and exceeded expectations. The poke was just as good or better than some poke that I’ve had at some sit down restaurants. If you’re in Ala Moana and looking for something fresh, stop by!

Was in the mood for some poke and ran into this place in the food court. Poke bowl with the dynamite sauce was awesome.

$ 10 for an ahi poke bowl, pretty expensive for a food court. White Rice was not good. Miso soup was not good either. Ahi was great!

5 Stars for the name and the Poke! Starved and looking for a quick and authentic Hawaiian meal, we found this gem of a poke place in the Ala Moana mall’s food court. I know, who would have thought? They have a nice selection of seafood, and the poke bowls and meals are the go-tos. Prices were definitely reasonable, so no complaints from us. Yours truly had the poke in garlic sauce and he had the poke in dynamite sauce. I was digging my poke which fully satisfied my poke craving. Think they put too much onion in mine, but then again, I’m not the biggest raw onion fan. Have to admit that we both were pleasantly surprised at how much we liked the poke from a mall food court! We were also impressed by the friendly staff and reasonable prices. It’s not the biggest stand or food establishment in the food court, but it doesn’t matter if the quality of service and food are on point. So go and and get your Bangga Bangga Poke On! What are you waiting for? Mahalo!

In the middle Ala Moana mall food court, this little food stand had a pretty good selection of bowls, meals, and protein items. The fish was excellent. I had squid, salmon, and ahi and all were delicious(and much less expensive than fancier seafood restaurants around town).

I Got the Bangga Bangga Poke Bowl with wasabi soy sauce. It was a large portion of both Poke and rice with plenty of sauce. The bowl seemed small at first but I was very full near the end of the bowl. The staff was friendly and moved very quickly. I didn’t have the slightest reservation about getting raw fish at this booth in the mall food court. You can see their entire preparation area and see that the food is being handled and chilled appropriately.

First of all I have to say somewhat weary to get raw food from a mall food court. I got the poke bowl with the dynamite sauce and it was great! The only thing I did not like is that there was a lot of onion on the bowl but otherwise it was great!

Ahi with spicy dynamite sauce is where it’s at. Portion might seem small but don’t judge it until you finish it. I seriously had one thinking about ordering a second until a finished it and felt that it was filling. Try it guys, at least once!

Total gem in the craziness that is Ala Moana Mall. As others have said it’s a food stand in the middle of the food court. I’ve only tried the Poke just because it’s so good I haven’t wanted to try anything else. The fish is obviously super fresh and high quality, it’s mixed just right, the line is fast and the staff is super nice. If only it was as easy to find a seat in the food court on the weekend!

Got the kalbi & poke with rice combo, and it was so very delicious. I wish they were in the SF bay area, too, but alas they’re half an ocean away.

Keep in mind this place is in a food court. in a little stand. Price vs Value: –Mall employees, play with cash and you won’t be charged tax! –i usually spend $ 8.75 for my Dynamite bowl(spicy ahi) –for me, value of fish is about the freshness. this place has fresh fish that’s mixed right there. to order! –you could go to foodland, also in the mall and get a poke bowl for $ 6 – 8 but it will be previously frozen and wont come with Masago and garnishes Speed of service: –made to order. but super fast! longest I’ve ever waited was 5 min. and that was with a full line in front of me Staff: –love them! they’re very nice and smiley! you can tell they actually appreciate the business

On my last visit to Hawaii a few years ago I happened to grab a short rib bowl from Bangga Bangga for a quick lunch. To my surprise, it was soooo good! In fact, I was craving another bowl as soon as I got off of the plane during my most recent visit. So, after quickly checking into my hotel, I walked across the street to the Ala Moana Center to see if I could find that bowl again. Bangga Bangga offers the short rib bowl or short rib sandwich and poke bowls. It’s a small stand in the food court in the mall that offers big flavors. A nice sized bowl is filled with rice and topped with thinly sliced sweet beef with green onions and garlic. It may not sound like much and it’s nothing fancy but it’s really good! The ahi tuna was bright pink and fresh and it came with an option of sauces to pour on top including garlic and soy sauce. I was so glad to see that this little booth was still going strong. Probably the next time I’m in the area I’ll head back for another little short rib bowl.

I love poke, so naturally I was excited learning about Bangga Bangga. Bangga Bangga is a small stand among the tables and chairs and not a part of your traditional and original restaurants that are apart of the actual food court. Since it was a small stand, I was highly skeptical. I scanned the stand, but quickly disregarded that because I was so hungry at that point, that I just wanted to eat something. I ordered an ahi poke bowl with garlic mayo(I believe?). I saw one of the workers prepare it and I tried really hard not to think about things, like sanitation. But again, I was ravenous and I really kind of did not care at that point. The poke bowl was good. It had small fish eggs, some greens, fresh hot rice, and a decent amount of poke. After eating the bowl, I had the weirdest reaction… I googled my reaction and let’s just say I won’t eat here again… I guess I should have trusted my instinct. I’m sorry. I wanted to give this place a chance. The lady who helped me seemed nice, though.

What a surprising little place! I literally crave these poke bowls at least once a week. We stumbled upon here a while ago, looking for a meal and didn’t want to walk all the way to Shirokiya. Ladies and Gentlemen, I have found my new Go-To place for poke bowls in the mall. Now, I’m a VERY picky rice eater. If the rice at any establishment is not to my liking, I do not return. The rice here, is perfect. The poke is always fresh, and the toppings on the poke bowl are delicious. My usual order is the poke bowl with EXTRA dynamite sauce. The ladies that work here are super sweet and it never takes long for my order to come out. Since the Food Court is always jam packed; I usually stop by as my last destination at the mall and take the food to go.

I know I previously represented that I’m not a big fan of poke bowls, but since I wrote that review, I’ve started to take a liking to them(I’ve been following a blog of a pro triathlete and I’m convinced that the secret to her 6 pack are the poke bowls that she blogs about, not the 5 hour training days! LOL) If you’re at the Ala Moana food court and looking for a healthy meal, visit these guys and get the poke bowl! The ahi is fresh as can be and you can choose your topping(e.g. wasabi, spicy, garlic…)! Yums!

I guess you can’t expect anything too reasonable at Ala Moana Center Court. Everything, even McD’s, is overpriced in this mall and food court: Poke bowl with rice — 3 stars — for $ 8.50, they serve less than Ahi and Vegetable and charge a lot more. The poke was ok, but not super fresh, and they only gave a handful of poke. Lots of lettuce and rice, but we could make our own for cheap. You can buy a half pound of poke for only $ 6 or less at any store that sells poke and make your own, but if you’re in Ala Moana, and is craving for a poke bowl, this place is the only place in the food court that serves decent tasting poke bowls.
