Food was good. I had the mahi mahi with coconut curry. The service was weird. We got served by all of the people who worked the floor except one person. Wasn’t sure who our server was. Other than that everyone was nice. One server kept giving me flirty eyes…

Loco moco. That’s all you need to know This is the Bentley of loco moco as it’s definitely not for the budget conscious or volume yearning diner. The formal listing on their menu states«Kobe-style Beef«Supreme» Loco Moco. Yes, it costs $ 18.50 for one plate, before photo( ) and after photo( ), but, once you start eating, you will know why. The three essential ingredients to this dish are as follows and here’s why it works for me: A. Hamburger patty(ies) — You get two large patties comprised of Kobe beef. My local friend said he likes more char on his meat for this, but it was just right for me, tender, rich, and moist. B. Gravy — My eyes widened with the first bite and, after a few more, I likened the flavor to French onion soup, savory with a slight tang. There were even mushroom slices in this that further ramped it up for me. C. Eggs — The two sunnyside up eggs were perfectly cooked, just look at my photo. Runny eggs and gravy… D. Rice — The portions are roughly two midsize bowls that literally are smothered by the other ingredients. The nice thing is that it is just enough to sop up all that delicious gravy. Wanting to try other menu items but dining alone, I ordered the spicy chicken wings( ), served piping(as in burn the roof of your mouth) hot; the flavor was similar to Buffalo wings sauce with a lighter tang but amazingly dry instead of messy wet. I ate half here and had the other half for breakfast the next morning. I dined here a second time with a local friend who worked in the area on a Tuesday night and we were just in time for happy hour. We shared the Pipi kaula( ), which reminded me of freshly made beef jerky. We also shared the garlic shrimp( ), not quite as sweet as the Haleiwa truck place but not bad for the price. Finally, we tried to order their pineapple sundae dessert but was told it was not available. The consolation was having Lappert’s Kauai Pie ice cream( ). Big props to the bartender Ben who guided me through my meal. I also enjoyed the housemade lemonade that he concocted which wasn’t overly sweet. On my first evening here, I was probably the only non-Japanese speaking customer here. There was a better mix during happy hour. Will be back to hopefully try their happy hour ox tail ramen next trip down.

Cute and trendy place hidden in Waikiki~ Nice and exceptional servers! The loco moco although a little expensive was great and delicious. Garlic shrimp was also amazing! The fried hamburger was extremely delicious(so crunchy and tender) but a little oily. Each plate comes with rice and their famous salad and good portions. Acai bowls tasted more natural than other places too with a great presentation. Coming almost at a lunch hour, it was quite crowded and loud. But overall, great food, great service, and we had a good time!

Aloha Table is related to Goofy café and Heavenly. But if Goofy and Heavenly are brother and sister, Aloha Table is the Grandpa. Its in a bad location, old looking, dirty and grimy. The service was good and food was alright, although very limited for lunch. As mentioned, service was great. We were a party of 12. Everything went smoothly and we got our food in a timely manner and drinks were refilled without being asked. The menu is small. They have one lunch special of the day and about 6 – 8 other items to order. The popular items amongst our group seemed to be the garlic shrimp and loco moco. I opted for the lunch special, which was garlic fried rice. It was alright, but not the best or even close to the best I’ve ever had. My dining companions really liked the garlic shrimp, ahi don and loco moco. What I could not get past about this place was it was very dirty looking. When you enter you pass by the kitchen and it wasn’t the cleanest. That kinda curbed my appetite from the start. Then we were seated on the lanai. As the restaurant is opened-aired and located on the back road behind the Waikiki Shopping Plaza, it faces the loading dock of that building. There is constant noise of delivery and rubbish trucks. There is also a constant dumpster smell. If we are in kona winds… definitely do not go. Sorry, I love Goofy and Heavenly, but AT, you are no comparison. I just can’t get past the ambience.

A work associate recommended this location for lunch. I had walked past it 100 times(in the alley behind Waikiki Shopping Plaza) and never really looked at it. The location is upstairs and, quite frankly, the lower level is not all that appealing. But once I got upstairs I was completely surprised. A bright, airy atmosphere with outdoor/indoor dining options. A full bar, a reasonably priced lunch menu and really good food. I had the curry beef(the waiter told me it was spicy but not to my palate but it was very tasty) and my work associate had short ribs. He loved his food too. The service was super quick, very friendly and helpful and the owner/manager came over to our table to chat when he realized that we were Kamaina. It is clear that most of their business comes from Japanese visitors but not exclusively and they offer a 10% Kamaina discount off their already very reasonable prices. I will certainly be back. A very enjoyable lunch! I’m sure dinner is just as good!

When we went for lunch we got the Loco Moco and poke don. They were delicious. We have tried many loco mocos around the island but they were all dry and bland. But that was not the case here! The burger was juicy and the sauce was delicious! A couple days later we came back for dinner and got the breaded mahi mahi and garlic fried rice and both were superb. Service was good as well, we will most definitely be back to try more from the menu!

Nice casual place to come by for lunch with friends. Tried many varieties and most are good. My favorite is the tomato pasta. Not a place for large groups or children. It’s not a large place. Many are table for 2 or 4 and if you come by with a large group, expect to wait.

I love this place. It’s open late so I always go after work. The guys who work there are super laid back and friendly. Food hits the spot, love their ahi bowl cuz it has avocado ! Good loco moco and the shrimp Mac n cheese is so bomb. Indoor and outdoor seating, I like the outside tables. Kind of pricey but worth it. Overall a great place to go with friends to relax and grind

I recently tried their happy hour. We got ourselves a Waikiki hidden gem. Get there early cuz by 5:30 it gets crowded. HH is from 4 – 6 pm. They also have creative items on their menu. It’s totally worth trying. maybe I’ll see you there.

Boyfriend and I visited Aloha Table Waikiki for happy hour and were not disappointed ! The Malibu coke was great with a generous pour and the edamame came out nice and warm. Definitely recommend! Specially, if you’re searching for a nice relaxing stop in Waikiki.

Definitely not«New-American», whatever that means anyway. Didn’t have too many options on our first night, so we stumble upon this spot since it was the only place open late the served food. Love the location, just a couple blocks from the Sheraton Waikiki where we stayed and right behind the prime shopping plazas. «Premium Loco Moco»!?! We couldn’t leave without trying it, and since it was a first night, it was a great way to break in Hawaii. I have to admit, their gravy was on point, rice was perfectly al dente, but the beef itself lacked that«Premium» quality. And maybe my expectations were a bit high but for $ 18 and a label that says premium, I wanted some melt in your mouth type of burger… nah it was just your ordinary patty. The dish was still amazing, all things considered. But the price, a little ridiculous. Even for the location. Got a side of the kalua pork quesadilla… and they put bbq sauce in it… in my opinion there is absolutely nothing worse you can do to hawaiian food, than to smother it in tacky, sweet bbq sauce… at least do something original. Drinks looked aight, we didn’t order any, cause again, they were a bit overpriced. Staff was very friendly, they were very accommodating, refilling our waters promptly and etc. Overall, just an okay dining experience.

Despite all the great-looking things on the menu, order the«Premium» loco moco — you know you want to. I let myself get convinced to get the loco moco and it was excellent, as advertised. The gravy is dark and rich — almost with notes of coffee and chocolate — and the kobe beef is flavorful and has an excellent char on it. I’m drooling a little just remembering it… I would definitely order it again, although only after stubbornly trying a few of the other things on the menu! The menu is a good size and is focused on Hawaiian foods or local twists on other things. Most entrees looked like they were in the $ 14 – 18 range. The bar menu includes several local Hawaiian beers, which is nice. The wait to be seated can be looooong, standing along the stairs or sitting(in line) in the few available seats toward the front of the line. Bar seating is included in the general restaurant seating, so the line counts for that as well. The smallish restaurant has lots of character, from warm lighting to tropical ceiling fans to faux plaster walls.(I thought it looked a little more Caribbean than Hawaiian.) While this isn’t exactly a hole-in-the-wall, dive-y restaurant, it aspires to have that close-in, intimate feel. About a third of the restaurant is outdoor lanai seating, overlooking the alley and Cuckoo Coconuts(sometimes allowing you to listen to the music from the latter). The staff is friendly and patient.

3 stars for Aloha table. Long story short: pretty good, but with so may other better options for the same food in Honolulu there’s other options out there. Loco moco was a solid choice. I think this was a strong tie with the garlic shrimp for best things to order. The garlic shrimp had a good flavor but left me wanting more shrimp. The Omu haiyashi looked so good in the pictures but was actually fairly mundane in real life. I think it missed out on having stronger spices and sauce with the rice diluting the better flavors. The cobb salad was standard fare and came out in a nice bowl that was easy to share, but was nothing to write home about. I think overall a better rating would require better seasoning and stronger flavors. I think there’s stiff competition from places like Rainbow drive in or the street food serving garlic shrimp.

Maui Gold Pineapple Piña Colada. Made to order fresh. Great drink. Garlic shrimp was kind of dry. Half order loco moco was decent.

Found at the old location of Petite Garlic in the heart of Waikiki, lies Aloha Table. Hidden in the alley way behind the Waikiki Shopping Plaza this eatery is found on the second floor marked by a few parking spaces at the bottom and in front of the building. You’ll find a line of Japanese tourist waiting to eat here and that most of the patrons are Japanese nationals. After taking a look at the menu, I can see why. This reminds me of a place you’ll find in Japan with emphasis on an eclectic western menu. They have a variety of pasta dishes as well as main entrees like their special Hamburger Steak & Rib Eye steak. My friend and I were playing tourist for the night and decided to try it here since we both remember the old Petite Garlic and heard many of the workers from that eatery remained onboard. We order 3 dishes and it’s a good thing we stopped at that as the portions here are quite large which isn’t normal for a place that caters to the Japanese. Not to say that they only take Japanese guests, just that the majority of the customers represented this segment. We started off with the watercress tofu salad which was very refreshing and tasty. Perfect for a hot Hawaiian night. Part of this restaurant is outdoors, but luckily we were seated inside at the bar. They have a few lounge tables as well as regular table seating making the establishment very welcoming. Next we had the rib eye steak we both felt this dish was a bit too oily for us and was smothered with fried onions. We felt this was unnecessary since the dish itself was already on the oily side. The steak was also a bit raw in the middle so we had to use the hot skillet it came on to sear it a bit more. The vongole pasta was very tasty . You could taste a hint of the wine they used but it didn’t not overpower. The noodles were al dente so it married well with the overall dish. For a place that isn’t known as an Italian eatery, it was pleasing. It may not be something you’d get at a Bernini or a La Cucina but for a place that doesn’t specialize in solely Italian, it was worth ordering for us. I’d give Aloha Table 3.5 stars if Unilocal allowed me too and I would be more than fine coming back if someone asked me to.

No Aloha for Aloha table. What a dump. Nothing Hawaiian about this place. all catering to Japanese… part of «little Tokyo» section of Waikiki. The owner is I think a Japanese Olympian. with many restaurants in Japan. now using Aloha but giving no Aloha. I think they start«Hawaiian» Themed restaurant in Hawaii even if it loses money so they can then franchise to Japan as «Hawaiian» restaurant. Hawaiians can not get a break or have business in Waikiki because too expensive more expensive than Rodeo Drive or 5th Ave in NYC… so you need backer who owns land, buildings like Japanese, or Chinese or mainlander franchise… pay off bag men, corruption… this is third world. It is located in the alley of little Tokyo. with a view of the alley. it looks like it is should be a strip club. Not a place I wanted to eat after reading menu in Japanese and then get nasty look from staff. English second language in the restaurant.(see photo) You can read the other reviews it is not just me… to see that the food and service is targeted to Japanese and accidental tourists. It was a Japanese French place before did not even change chef so what does that tell you? Here is what they call Local Menu Sauteed Mahi Mahi — with curry sauce like in Japan, China, India. $ 18 Breaded Mahi Mahi — Katsu style breaded and deep fried like in Japan 18 Local Pork Chops — rubbed in cajun seasoning $ 18 Ox Tail Soup — $ 15(this is Filipino cow tail soup) Cobb Salad $ 14 –This is dish created at Brown Derby in Hollywood 1930’s Spinach Salad $ 14 — Tofu Salad $ 12 — Tofu is not Hawaiian Steaks(not grass fed maui beef but from box stores). and start at $ 24 High prices even for Waikiki… go eat at the hotels at the beach somewhere you can see the water. you are on holiday in Hawaii. Japanese know where to go because they blog and read reviews. I am sure they are nice people but I would hope knock down the whole building and put in a nice Japanese residence hotel with what Hawaii really needs. another sushi restaurant.
