These people seem determined to run their business into the ground. Not only did I have to turn around at the door and go 4 blocks out of my way to return with cash, there was only 1 person working for the entire lunch crowd. .. again! This was my third time there and it’s the always the same 15 – 20 minute wait. I got a salad that had a meat-like substance on it that they called chicken and the tangerines from a can had gone sour. I’m really disappointed because the downtown scene needs a good salad place and they are blowing it.

In terms of the Acai Bowl: Acai-licious is greater than Blue Hawaii Lifestyle but still less than Diamond Head Cove Health Bar! The bowl was around $ 7 and it included Acai, Granola and Bananas. I liked the consistency of the acai and how it wasn’t melting in my bowl as I was eating it. The banana was sweet but there wasn’t enough granola. They have a nice selection on salads and soups although we didn’t try any. We came in at around 10AM and there were two people there enjoying their smoothies. It took the worker about 15 minutes to make two acai bowls. I’m not sure if she was tired or if it’s normal for her to work at snail speed. A plus is that it’s located right next to 24 hour fitness! Healthy meal after a workout so you don’t feel like you will gain everything you just worked off!

I love Acai juice, smoothies, bowls, etc., so I was excited about this place opening up. They also serve composed salads and tomato soup. The friendly counter girl recommended her favorite smoothie, the basic acai one. It consisted of acai, blueberries, bananas, apple juice and way too much ice. It was okay, but kind of bland. The prices are kind of high, too – about $ 6.50 for a smoothie. I’m too cheap to have expensive habits like that!
