I have GOT to comment on Wils post about 80 8955fish. This guy is COMPLETELY OFF HIS ROCKER! First off, we don’t charge your card a fee unless that boat has been reserved for at least 2 weeks in advance, in which case we would have had to block off the boat for you… losing other potential customers. If nobody called to book that boat while we had it reserved for you… we wouldn’t even charge a fee for you cancelling. C’mon…All of our agents know this (we have over 100) and they let you know. It’s protocol. We do not charge your card a fee if you book and then cancel the same day. That’s ridiculous.
Secondly, we’ve been in business for 27 years at kewalo basin. That means nobody was in prison. Our reputation for delivering excellent service for our customers is respected not only in the basin community and on Oahu, but all over the world. We accommodate over 10,000 customers a year on our boats and about 4 minor complaints a year. That means one tenth of one percent complains? That’s pretty darn good. Ask the harbor master. His name is John. Ask the coast guard. They inspect and approve our vessels. Better yet, Check the BBB (Better Business Bureau). This guy Wil didn’t even go on the charter. He based his opinion off of a video that was shot spur of the moment by our web designer where both captain tiger and I were uneasy because we’re fisherman and boat captains, not actors. You’re lucky I can’t sue for defamation of character. How could you say someone would steal your wallet because you looked at their eyes –on a video??? Again. Ridiculous.
Did Rihanna think it was a scam when she was on the boat? GOOGLE RIHANNA-​FISHING-​HAWAII. Our picture on our boat with her is the first one that pops up. Did Tommy Lee complain? (In fact He thought tigers tattoos were «badass») How about Miranda Lambert? Oh! I know… ask Beth and Dog the Bounty hunter. You know Beth would fight if we were a scam.
As far as actually catching fish goes, which Wil doesn’t know about because he didn’t go on the charter, Captain Tiger and I have had a streak since January 1^st 2015 of 96 trips in a row of catching fish that fly flags. We were skunked ONCE and now we’re up to 38 trips of catching. And that’s just trolling. So if we take your call when we’re out fishing and someone yells «fish on!!!» There’s no time to explain. It’s go time. I’m sorry I’m not sorry. That’s fishing.

Look. We have 5 boats in the harbor with a price range that will fit anyone’s pocketbook. We shark hunt, big game troll, cheap family fun bottom fish, glass bottom boat rides, rock and roll booze cruise… Obviously «Wil» was trying to book outside of his budget. We don’t hold that against you. We just hope you had a wonderful, relaxing Hawaiian vacation and found the right fit for your family. If we were a scam then we would have been put out of business a long time ago. It’s a small island folks!
In closing, I’m sorry if this sounded like a rant, I just can’t imagine that anyone would listen to somebody who didn’t even go on a charter and judges somebody by the way they look in a video. Absurd.
