Service was well below average, employees look like they don’t care about their tables they are serving. Food was subpar at best and wrong the first time around. Not a good experience to say the least.

The food is AMAZING! Unfortunately, the waitress Leidys is terrible. She has such an attitude and argued with us when she screwed up our payment for our bill. Luckily the manager is fantastic and fixed everything for us. If you come here, ask for literally any server other than Leidys.

Stopped in for dinner while in the area. I was pleased by the fast and courteous service. The food was wonderful. The pot roast is fantastic and the seafood paella(cuban biryani?) was very good. I will definitely keep this on the list of places to visit while in the area.

This is a great place to eat. The parking is big and the food is great. The menus is extensive. I particularly like the chicken milanesa. We are regulars here and do highly recommend. I also want to mention the place is pretty big and you seldom have to wait to be seated. Great overall !!

We ate lunch there and the Original Cuban Sandwich was very good. It is a nice place to go to talk and have lunch and have good food, too.

I think it’s a 4 for all La Carreta places. This one in particular was spacious and willing to serve us 1 hr before closing time. Miami-city attitude; eat your food, GTFO. Food is consistently good, healthy portions, fair(think diner prices).

This place was great!!! I went there with a group of about 10 on very short notice. They were able to accommodate us immediately and the service was top notch! The cuban bread was an awesome starter and the Sangria was great also! I had the Arroz Imperial. Although, it was not the best I have had it was still really good! I also tried the Ropa Vieja, which was delicious! I will definitely be back!

Terrible service. I was there for breakfast and waited for 20 mins for someone to take my order after I had already complained. Finally waitress came and explained they were busy with a small breakfast party. I explained I didn’t have much time… So, she screamed so that the whole area could hear to the manager, I didn’t have much time and he said I needed to wait. So unprofessional. Meanwhile 3 ladies in the to go counter chit chatting away. I will never step foot in this restaurant again.

Very good Cuban food. Huge portions. Delish shakes. Try Yucca fries, Roasted Pork special and Papaya shake. I think I could eat there every day, especially considering prices. Highly recommended!

Cuban food is usually prepared extremely fast, unless you come to La Carreta. So not only is the food abundantly mediocre, ordering a take out chicken soup and steak can take upwards of 40 minutes. Not once did a manager or any employee try to console me or rectify there mistake.

I love this place for a quick coffee or a bite to eat. I gave it a 4 stars because it’s always too full at the to go window and they rush you out, but the food is delish and fresh.

We went for breakfast for the first time and wanted to like this place. However the omelette was less then average:(I order the ham and cheese omelette and there was literally 7 lil pieces of ham with so much egg! The potatoes they served on the side was not tasteful… Let’s just say I took 5 bites and had to stick with the coffee bc even the toast was old with lil butter. You are basically paying to eat at a name brand restaurant that’s about it… We won’t be coming back :/

Big thumbs up for Lauran inside the restaurant at the to go counter she was excellent over the phone and very pleasant in person. Food is always great here, the real ethic taste of Cuban food. I especially appreciate that’s it’s only a block away from work(Life savor)!

La Carreta is Miami’s first Cuban restaurant chain. For a chain, their food is delicious, and it would probably constitute the best Cuban food in any town other than the Greater Miami area. As such, for South Florida it’s good, but not the best. This particular location is very conveniently located on Miramar Parkway just east of I-75. Like I mention above, the food is decent, and the prices reasonable. The best thing about this particular location is probably its Cuban coffee window and patio, which has plenty of space for one to have some coffee, sit, and smoke a cigar. Unfortunately, the clientele is not of the«Old Guard» sort that you’d find at its Hialeah or SW8th Street locations, so you won’t be hearing much political talk or good old Castro-bashing here. Nevertheless, this is still a safe bet for decent Cuban food in Broward County. Be sure to have the«cortadito con leche evaporada.»

Don’t ever order sandwiches, toastadas or anything that is normally ordered from the patio — while dining on the inside!!! Always cold, or wrong or maybe the inside kitchen is doing it and they are always crappy! Going outside to order it and the family had a horrible dinner! Thanks to «yackie» da waitress!

I regret coming here the other week. :( The service was disappointing. Plain and simple. I hate to be BLUNT this time, but the lady forgot half our order, and was weird if we had to remind her. After reminding her three times, our appetizers still never showed up, same with my best friend’s soup order as well. We ended up getting a litte full off the free stale bread, so we just said forget it altogether. Our steak meal we shared didn’t come with the peppers and onions it usually does. and was cold… Overall, there is so many amazing Cuban restaurants out here in South Florida. I’d suggest don’t go the ‘franchise route’ if you want a great experience. I think we just came here because I had this faint, faint memory back in the day of being satisfied here… I think it was faint for a reason. haa. Maybe just get the croquettas and colada at the side window they have and that’s all.

This is by far the worst La Carreta I have been too and I have been to many! The hostess did not even greet us when we walked in. She was too busy leaning on the wall. No people skills whatsoever. A second waitress came up and asked us if we were there for the buffet. When we replied that we were not. She told us then we would have to wait until after the kitchen closed and reopened to be seated. Needless to say we walked out. Management should hire people who want to be there. I would never try this place.

Came in on my lunch break and was pleasantly surprised. I love Caribbean food and La Caretta didn’t disappoint. I ordered the chicken chicharron with black rice and plantains and everything was delicious. The service was so-so. Not terrible but could have been better. Our server didn’t speak English. Lucky for me my co-worker spoke Spanish so she was able to translate. Had to ask 3 times for bread and didn’t see our server again after our food was served. I needed a refill on my drink but never got it as I the next time we saw her was when she happened to walk by and we flagged her down for our bill. Overall not a bad experience. I would return(but hopefully get a different server)

Excellent food, very friendly service and no wait on a weeknight. It doesn’t get much better than that. This place is a short walk from the nearby hotels and worth the trek. The Vaca Frita(grilled beef) was tasty and lean a salty jerk flavor with grilled onions. This was a huge portion and I was starving but still could barely finish my meal. It was served with large portions of black beans and rice. They also give you large basket of fresh, hot Cuban bread. Apparently this place is a local chain and I’m not claiming it’s the best Cuban food in the Miami area, but it was an excellent meal and I’ll be sure to come back here if I’m back in the area.
