We came here for brunch on a Saturday morning. Arrived at about noon. Outdoor seating is available. 1st off, service was very good and very attentive. Trinity offers a pre-fix brunch that comes with a café of a brunchy drink, a basket of brunch breads and a main course meal. My husband ordered Mimosas and I ordered Bellinis. The Mimosas were fine, delicious even. The Bellini, I have NO idea what that was. Robitussin and Prosecco? We couldn’t even take it down. As my husband is drinking his delicious Mimosa, noticed a hair in the drink. Drinks complete fail. You lost 2 stars for that alone. Bad Bellini and a Non-appetizing twist for Hair of the Dog. The food itself was fine, not the greatest, not the best, bug cooked right and OK. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash and my husband got the Eggs Benedict. Both I would order and eat again.

Great view of the water !! Service was pretty good, the bar is a little small. The tuna tar tar & fried calamari was amazing !! The bartender also made a great sangria from her own personal recipe! It feels very home-like in here but not divey. I’ll be back !

No AC its 83 degrees summer in July. Fans!!! They should offer reduced prices or give freebies, or stamp silly garage parking on voucher without having brunch. But as they wouldn’t stamp our garage voucher because we didn’t eat here, I’m not even going to bother returning. This place doesn’t interest me at all.

Sad. Bars along that strip come and go. Nothing really lasts. Was there years ago and it was ok. More of a restaurant. There a week ago, more of a club/bar thing. Nothing special. Nice interior and prices are the same as most of Hoboken. Bartender was nice. Have fun

I concur with the three star reviews. Good: On a lovely afternoon, the outdoor seating can’t be beat. Beautiful ‘partial’ view of the NYC skyline and plenty of people watching. The service was polite. Needs Improvement: The food was a bit disappointing. Ordering off of the Tavern Menu, we had mozzarella sticks, the angus burger, and the blackened salmon wrap. Sadly, the best of the above was the mozzarella sticks. The salmon was likely pre-cooked, refrigerated and wrapped. Nothing noticeably ‘blackened’ about it from my perspective. Couldn’t find much avocado in the wrap. The burger was hearty, but came out closer to rare when we asked for medium-well. Our sides(fries and salad greens) were good. This was a moderately busy afternoon, not packed by all means, so can’t blame it on a rush. Trinity is a good spot to hang out, but the kitchen needs some attention.

Great place, food was good but the service was excellent, i dropped my beer and the waiter just replaced it for free. So professional.

I was initially hesitant to visit this restaurant because it’s next ainsworth and that was a horrific experience. But I’m glad I tried this place. Came here for lunch on a weekday, so had no wait. Outside seating was fabulous for a nice summer day. Menu looked good for average prices. Got the mahi mahi with fries. I loved it! Def recommend it. My partner got the potato skins from the appetizer section. Which also good. Only hiccup was with his bloody mary. It was very weak and served without ice. However the waiter was very accommodating.

I came here with two of my girlfriends to grab a drink and appetizers. The menu was disappointing, I paid 8 $ for baby lettuce and balsamic vinegar. Also the vibes are a bit strange, it has a Mexican feel but nothing Mexican about the menu or place. Also, the place is huge and honestly the use of space is puzzling. This should be on one of those restaurant remodeling shows on the food network.

Terrible drinks: first of all, they took forever to arrive; they were brought to us after our food. I took the margarita and my friend the Panda’s Dream. Both tasted extremely cheap; we only took one sip and were not able to finish them they were so bad. The food was also very disappointing. I took a beet salad. The portion was small, beets straight from the can, almost no feta and the arugula was way too bitter. Very very disappointing. I would never come back here.

Reserved a party of 8 for my birthday brunch and sadly had a terrible experience. The server took 27 minutes to come to our table to take our order –after we had flagged him three times! Two of my guests had wrong orders. At one point we noticed a new person helping clear our plates and bring coffee. His name was Carlos and he was fantastic! We asked to speak to the manager and after avoiding our table as well, she finally came to speak to us and her response was«well what do you expect me to do?» Terribly managerial skills. She did take $ 100 off our bill but honestly I wouldn’t come back.

Pretty good food, good service. Got a $ 25 for $ 50 deal on living social. The caprese with green grapes was interesting on the menu, but it tasted great! Shepherd’s pie was also pretty good. Will be back to try out other options. Wish it was less dim inside because it’s in such a good location. We’ve walked past it more than a few times without dropping in because it seemed like it was so dark inside.

Came here to eat with a large group of folks for a birthday dinner. Very pleasant experience. I had the blackened salmon wrap which was delicious. Really nice vibes here, classy but casual. High ceilings which I love. Only complaint was my scotch — a bit watered down.

I recently had brunch at Trinity… a place I had been to for drinks only previously. I like the ambiance with leather couches, low lighting, and a overall cozy feeling. It has a large dining space and separate bar area to give the feeling of two different sections which I really like. I was impressed at the willingness to make dietary accommodations and modifications. They even made«fried bread» which is some type of Irish/English breakfast food that wasn’t on the menu. All three in my party ordered something different than was listed on the menu — making us a somewhat difficult party but the waiter was totally cool with it. I ordered the potato, veggie, and feta cheese omelet which is modified from the frittata listed on the menu. The food was decent and an overall satisfying dish. My main concern was the service as our waiter disappeared once the place started to get a little more crowded. Trying to get a coffee refill as a bit of challenge. We literally had to go to the bar to get our bill and then our change from the bill.

I’ve been here several times and my last visit was nothing but disappointing. We went to eat for a nice romantic dinner on Labor Day, a Monday evening, to sit outside and enjoy the view with a good meal. The food was great but it took FOREVER to place an order, to get our drinks, to get our food, etc. It really killed the mood, experience, and even ruined the good food they had prepared for us.

Went there to grab a drink on a Wednesday night. The place was cute and almost empty(not to count a party of ten, or so, people, and maybe a few other tables). Candlelight, cozy booths, prosecco — need I say more? It’s a perfect spot for a romantic date. And it was raining like cats and dogs, so we got pretty much stuck in there chatting and drinking champagne. Definitely coming back again

Went there last sunday around 3pm there were lot of people but got seated in 10mins. We ordered the panda dream cocktail, mojito, burger, grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup(kids menu), chocolate cake and one scoop of vanilla icecream. I think they more focus on bar type atmosphere and night life not for the sit down restaurant. The food was Horrible especially the burger was super dry and no flavor but pack of salt. We ordered vanilla icecream but the waiter forgot and we asked again later, so we got it and charged $ 8 for just ONESCOOP of vanilla icecream. Wont go back!

Bland food, disorganized staff(I was there for an event which almost didn’t happen!), watered-down champagne with brunch. Hoboken boasts quite a few good eateries. Trinity is not one of them.

Came here for an easy brunch along the water on a Sundays. Views from outside simply cannot be beat. The food here is fine I guess. I ordered a burger for my brunch and it really wasn’t anything remarkable or special. I’ll come back for the waterfront dining, and hope for better than the burger I had the last time.

Along the banks of the Hudson River across from Manhattan sits a town called Hoboken in New Jersey. A handful of restaurants on Sinatra Drive take advantage of the incredible views and we recently visited one called Trinity Restaurant, Bar and Lounge. On a rather warm October day, a few people sat at the outdoor tables but we opted to sit inside. We were lonely, there were no other tables seated in the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. This should have been our first clue. First of all, being that is a Saturday afternoon, we were presented with the brunch/lunch menu. However, our server informed us that the lunch selections were not available during brunch hours. So our hopes of having blackened Mahi Mahi or grilled tilapia were dashed. Why would you give us a menu of things we can’t order??? However, what was available was the Tavern Menu– thank goodness as the brunch menu is not brunch at all, but 100% breakfast. The tavern menu had sandwiches, salads and pizza on it… that was fine for us… but confusing as to why the lunch and brunch selections were printed and presented together but not everything was available? Anyway, the selections were decent though again confusing. Trinity claims to be of Gaelic cuisine yet the only thing I saw on the menu that would partially qualify as Gaelic would be the Leek, Potato and Parsley soup. And it was bland. Completely lacking of flavor. Not even salt helped it. Blah. We ordered the Spinach and Arugula salad which had roasted peas, golden raisins, spiced nuts and was topped with blue cheese dressing. Well, I can’t tell you what the roasted peas were like because our salad didn’t have any and by spiced nuts they meant spiced peanuts with an occasional pecan or almond. They must buy those canned nuts that are 90% peanuts and 10% mixed. We were excited about the Blackened Salmon Wrap though. How bad could that be? Blackened fish with avocado, tomato and a lime-cilantro aioli. Well, the salmon wasn’t blackened and there was no avocado. Actually, what we got was a salmon salad wrap. Shredded salmon resembling canned tuna fish with tomato on a wrap. I will say this– there was a lot of salmon but I would be surprised if it wasn’t from a can. I am just going to stop there. The service was lukewarm and scarce. There is nothing worse than having to wait an excessive amount of time for the check, especially after a bad meal.

Meh. Best thing I can say is they have outside seating and their wine pours are good. We waited a good 20 mins to order, and the waiter took our order without writing it down. Now I don’t care how you take my order, but if you dont write my order down, and then fuck-up my order, don’t come back at me like«you didn’t say that when you ordered» because I did. Even if I didn’t(which I did) I don’t know what the waiter expects to gain by challenging me on it. When I pointed out writing down orders may be helpful he didn’t say much back. Either way, I dont appreciate having to get snarky with the waiter while at brunch. Food wise my arugula salad was good and my friends omlette was a big portion and her breakfast potatoes were tasty. 0 – 1 star for service, 3 stars for brunch food. I liked 3 Forty Grill better.
