Framing On Washington

I am a professional oil painting artist and Azim framed four of my paintings. My rep has asked for black floater frames which are difficult to find and needs great expertise. Azim did an amazing job, he was meticulous, fast and professional. He handled the newly varnished paintings with great care and got them all ready for the New York ArtExpo 2016. He not only did an amazing job with the frames but he also displayed my artwork in his window work weeks. I will continue working with Azim for getting my new oil paintings framed for my future art exhibitions.

We had a few things to be framed, 2 as a gift and one for us. We received a coupon in the mail from those coupon books thingys. We wondered up to get a price. We had prints in tow, the gentleman working there was on his way to get a sandwich for lunch but saw us walking up and turn towards the shop and he came running back to help us, right there that was pretty awesome.
The 2 things as a gift were simple black frames and simple white mats but the end result was excellent. They had old post cards in them and the owner there made sure to tell me that he used acid free tape to mount them and that if I ever needed to pull the originals out they would be unharmed. Excellent. They were $ 75 a piece.
The frame we got for us was a giant 24×36 white frame with a canvas print mounted on foam board. It is a giant map (picture attached), they dry mounted it and did a great job. This obviously doesn’t have glass as it’s meant to put pins in, but they did an awesome job and this giant print was only $ 130.
They originally told us 7 – 10 days to be complete, they had all three done in about 4 days. Pretty impressive.
All said and done they did a great job for a really reasonable price. For whatever reason Hoboken has a ton of framing places, not sure why. But, if you’re in the market for a frame I would give these guys a try. They also sell pre-​mounted art and a lot of Hoboken specific stuff, which is cool. While I don’t anticipating needing much more framed, if I do, this will be my first stop.

I stopped by in a bind to have a a series of photographs framed for my in-​laws in one luxurious frame. I was pleased by the speed, professionalism, and quality, but, above all, I was impressed by the incredible care that the owner placed in preparing and presenting the perfect piece of framing art for me and my family. This place is a diamond in the rough. My in-​laws loved their gift, and the cost was quite reasonable given the high quality of materials and labor. I will definitely return.

I am so happy that Framing on Washington opened in Hoboken and that it is thriving in its first year here. As a local artist, I need a framer who I can rely on to help me run my business. I need a framer that is honest, follows through with that they say they will do, provide a consistent quality product, knowledgable about museum quality acid free framing, and work within my limited budget. Azim has helped me to be a successful artist by working with me and not trying to take advantage of me as other framers in town have done before. If it wasn’t for Framing on Washington, I do not know what I would do as there are no other local options for me. I’ve referred Framing on Washington to many collectors of mine and everyone has been more than happy with their services and prices. This store is the best! I went in here to have a framing issue fix and the owner did it free of charge! They also had an awesome collection of framed photos of the city. I will definitely be coming back here again!

I came here shortly after the grand opening to get two large pictures framed for a Christmas gift. The owner was wonderful. He has been doing this for many years, and offered me great advice but still made sure that I was satisfied with my choices. This shop has A LOT of framing options, with a wide selection in prices and style. I chose a frame, matting, and museum glass, which reduces glare and preserves the picture. I came back less than two weeks later, and the pictures are stunning. I actually contemplated giving them ahead of Christmas because they look so good, but I so far I’ve resisted.

I came in here with my boyfriend about a week after it opened, when the grand opening deal was still available. There was a great mirror outside on display, so we went in to have a large picture framed, plus purchase the mirror with a different shaded border. As another reviewer said, there are a lot of options, overwhelmingly so, but the owner was so nice and helped us narrow it down for what we needed. He also was a bit of a talker and gave us a lesson on how to tell a well-​made, expensive frame from a cheap, made-​in-​China frame.
Overall, we walked away with a 5-​foot-​tall mirror with a gorgeous stained-​wood frame, a large picture framed, and some new framing knowledge. Not cheap, but worth it.
