We went for the first time last night to celebrate our 35th anniversary. It was a wonderful experience! We felt like they went above and beyond to celebrate us! They greeted us with well wishes. They recognized several anniversaries and birthdays starting with ours. They brought us some champagne, a dessert and a Jazz CD!!! The food was very good and just an overall wonderful experience. It probably only seats 75 – 85 people, so you have to book ahead because it’s so popular. Would highly recommend!

There aren’t too many jazz clubs functioning anymore, anywhere. Finding it in Hilton Head was a real FIND. Good food, great sound. Reserve in advance!

So many positive reviews on The Jazz Corner, we had to try it out while on vacation at Hilton Head. It was a Saturday night and«Rat Pack» themed, which is pretty iconic. $ 15pp for the show and you have to order dinner. When we got there, it became apparent we were the youngest in the restaurant, as 85% of the crowd was 50+ years old. The Jazz quartet that was playing when we arrived was very good, then the singer arrived and it took a turn for the worse. Very cruise ship lounge act at that point and though everyone else seemed to love it, we did not. The menu was also dated, all the dishes we ordered were not tasty. Crab dip, fried green tomato salad, swordfish and seafood pasta. They would have been a hit in 1998. Good and friendly service though, plenty of parking. Older patrons may really dig this, but for a $ 200 meal(dishes & wine), we won’t be back.

Absolutely wonderful on every level. Must make reservations well in advance but your planning will pay off. Dinner was outstanding. She Crab soup best we have ever tasted. Service was most attentive and personable of any restaurant we have ever been. The table is yours for the entire evening so plan on pacing yourself, relax, and enjoy the entire night. The jazz was phenomenal. A MUSTGO for anyone visiting HHI.

Excellent service, delicious food, and great jazz. Intimate small setting. Must have a reservation at least 3 weeks in advance. The carrot cake is worth every calorie! The Jazz here is one of the reasons we like to come to Hilton Head Island!

Not first come first serve as advertised for seats at bar Hostess does not look up Maitre’d went to same school of non hospitality Recommendation Odds of all showing up with reservations less than 50%. Take the business that is there!

Sorry, this is a super late review but here goes… oops. Went here for my love’s birthday last spring & it was outstanding!!! Fyi, I think this place is reservations only so please book ahead. Sometimes weeks ahead depending on who’s playing. Great atmosphere. Sexy, sensual, & cozy. Loved it all. We had great seats to enjoy the live jazz musicians. I sipped some great wine & ordered some type of spicy Creole inspired pasta. Sadly y’all, it was waaaaaaaaay too spicy. Like seriously. I wasn’t prepared for it. If you’re really into spice I’m sure you’ll love it. It was loaded with fresh ingredients especially the seafood! I just couldn’t handle the spice :(. Wish I could remember what the guest of honor had but I can’t lol. Any who, this is a really cool date night spot. Ill definitely be back. We had a very special night. Thank you Jazz Corner!

The food was very good and our waitress was fabulous. A very lively place with great music. it reminded us of the old time supper clubs/night clubs where you could go for a whole evening and enjoy the food and the entertainment in one place. If you’re in Hilton Head, make a reservation and go there!!!

The Jazz Corner is a must see place to visit if you have never been. My fiancée and I never listen to jazz(we are both into EDM), but we were blown away by the performance of the band here. The food was good, if overpriced(or maybe not, considering the amazing performance we were able to take in with dinner). I especially liked the bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin. As others have mentioned, reservations are a must(even the bar seating requires a reservation).

5 Stars for ambiance, service and music 4 Stars for food and drinks We were seated at the bar for Deaz Guyz on a Sunday night. Jorge took excellent care of us the entire time, making sure our food came out in a timely order and advising us on drinks. Although it was kind of hard to see from the corner seats without leaning forward, that’s probably because we were short. Deaz Guyz provided really, really good jazz with a most excellent lead saxophonist, a suave singer/entertainer and a super soulful bassist. They played a variety of jazz and blues, including favorites like twist n shout and My Girl. They also brought five older ladies on stage who were celebrating their birthdays and made them perform/do tequila shots, which was amazing. Do call ahead to be recognized if you are celebrating something special. Food wise, most everything was excellently prepared. We really enjoyed the charcuterie plate and proscuitto wrapped scallops. However, I was not a fan of the watermelon salad drenched in dressing and the stuffed chicken didn’t really amaze us. We would have liked more flavor and perhaps southern/local influence, but that might not suit the majority of clientele, who were older and more affluent than us. The music was so so so good though, that the other things didn’t matter at the end.

I’ve been to the Jazz Corner 2 times and both were outstanding. First time was to see Deaz Guys, they were incredible, I was dancing in my chair! Also, food is delicious! Definitely make a reservation in advance especially for Deaz Guys, it can take a while to get in, sometimes a few weeks to a few months. Second time was for our 1st year wedding anniversary on a Monday night. We saw Martin Lesch band. They were super talented and entertaining and took us thru the decades of jazz. We didn’t have a reservation ahead this time, but called day of and luckily they had a cancellation! We told them at the door it was our anniversary and they were exceptionally accommodating. Overall, a must visit when coming to HHI for entertainment and great food!

What a lovely evening. The Jazz Corner is a wonderful establishment. We had 6:30 pm reservations and planned to take our time through drinks, dinner and dessert as the music starts at 8:00 pm. Our waiter was extremely helpful and patient. We started off with a crab cake trio — amazing. Then we split a watermelon salad on a bed of arugula — so amazing and refreshing. Let me pause here and say that my husband and I are martini snobs. This place can make a martini — they get it. We decided on the grouper(caught that afternoon) and split it. It was melt in your mouth delicate and well seasoned. The portions are definitely large enough to share. The music and entertainment was great. The coffee was fresh and flavorful. Excellent experience.

This little treasure is one of the reasons we decided to move here from NYC. Their food is always outstanding– my favorite is the bruschetta platter(I dream about the roasted garlic!) and their shrimp & scallops in a Tasso ham gravy. We bring all of our out of town guests for a night out. As far as the music goes– it’s consistently ear pleasing– with world class musicians playing nightly. There isn’t a single bad seat in the house. Make your reservations early. That’s all I’m going to tell you.

This place is awesome. Every time we come to Hilton Head, we make sure we look ahead and book reservations. You will need to plan ahead and make reservations. They always have different people on different nights, so look at their web site. The good is good, but there are lots of good restaurants on the island. What makes this place different, is great music, and good food. I just wish the seating were a bit more comfortable, and that it was not quite so crowded. But then the intimate venue is what makes the place special. It is like the Blue Note of the South.

I didn’t get a chance to visit The Jazz Corner on my last visit to Hilton Head Island. I didn’t know about it until I arrived at my hotel, and by the time I realized it was a top entertainment destination for jazz not only in the region but apparently in the nation, I was disappointed to find out that it was booked solid for a month. So on this visit, my Type A-nature made me that much more determined to check it out, and I’m so glad I did! Monday night’s visit allowed me to understand why Jazz Corner is packed night after night. Jazz Corner is a small venue tucked in a nearly impossible to find location at the back of a strip mall. It has maybe 30 tables, and there really are no bad seats. Even the table right next to the drummer got their money’s worth when he proceeded to play on their 4 water glasses and Manhattan. We were seated at a two top elevated a little above the main dining room, which afforded us a nearly unobstructed view of the band with great acoustics. The ambiance is comfortable and dark once the music starts. Our server, Jamie, was gracious, friendly, and amazingly attentive considering how many tables he was covering for the evening. While I had very low expectations of the food, it was quite good! We started with shrimp and andouille kabobs, followed by the wedge salad, and for a main course, the special Halibut entrée and the Creole Seafood pasta. The kabobs were well prepared, although relatively small for the price. The wedge salad was as expected — fresh, guilt-alleviating veggies — but topped with bacon bits and gorgonzola cheese so that made me happy. The halibut, perfectly seared, was served with risotto and king asparagus. The portions were ginormous, and we ended up having halibut and risotto the next morning for breakfast. I can attest that it was amazing cold at 8am, so one can only imagine how good it was fresh from the kitchen. I enjoyed the seafood pasta as well, but there was so much food that at some point I just couldn’t shove any more food into my mouth. Of course the reason for visiting the Jazz Corner is the music, and it was spectacular. On the night that we visited, they featured the Martin Lesch Band, a 5-person ensemble that played jazz from multiple decades. They performed hits by Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, and many other mainstays of jazz, but they also did a Beatles cover. Not only was the quality of the music wonderful, but they seemed to truly enjoy playing music together. Jazz presented in such an intimate setting was a real treat and I would hope that every jazz experience in the future could be this good. The first set was 8 – 9:30pm, and as much as I had intended to leave after the first set to get some much needed sleep, the music was so outstanding that we stayed to the end of the second set, which was 10−11pm. The cover for all of this? $ 5 per person on that Monday night. They could have charged several times that and I would have been happy to pay it. Overall, the Jazz Corner is a must-visit for dinner and music in Hilton Head. They book up early, so make sure to contact them well in advance of your visit to Hilton Head. Some might argue that the food is 4 stars at best. Fine, I wouldn’t quibble with that. But the music, which is the whole reason you go, was like 10 stars. So when you balance it out, I would argue that this place deserves a 5 star review without any hesitation.

Five stars hardly describes this wonderful place. Be sure to make a reservation at least a month ahead of time. We waited until the week before and were able to get two seats at the bar. We could see the stage very well from there and were able to talk to some of the musicians who hung out over in that area. Drink menu was fantastic, the Count Basie Cosmo — top notch, they also serve Banfi Rosa Rogale — a wonderful Brachetto. Everything looked great. Appetizers were fantastic, had the soups. Filet was served a perfect medium rare although I would have liked it served hotter. The Jazz Corner’s «thing» of course is the Jazz, and the house band was fantastic, with many treats all night, including a wonderful vocalist from Savannah. Stayed as late as we could, they close at 11. Finding this is a little difficult, the GPS said it was on the other end of Wexford plaza. It’s in the building farthest from the light, in the corner.
