Renovation in progress as of our visit Jan 16. We went inside and spoke to the owner. Planning to reopen some time in February. Worker’s were inside. Can’t wait to see the new look although we loved it as it was. Daniel’s is our favorite spot on HHI.

Stopped in for Happy Hour. First off, the place is now called Crave at Daniels. Yeah, I crave attention, like getting my drink within 20 minutes when the place is empty. Drinks were well made, but I would have liked to get the 25% happy hour discount. I was so anxious to get out of there, I wasn’t going to argue. I crave a menu that doesn’t have to be explained by the waitress. This place could be good, but on my visit, it was annoying.

OK, here’s the thing. This place has a wonderful sensual sexy vibe. Great for apps & drinks. Don’t go here if you’re trying to watch your money or you have a huge appetite. This place will break your pockets! Everything is set up as tapas. Big plates & small plates only. Go here if you just feel like spending or wanna treat yourself. Me personally I can do without. It was really nice but I won’t be back. Maybe on someone’s else dime but NOT mine lol

Food was outstanding. We had the soup flight, grouper tacos, lamb kebabs, and knafeh. I will make this a regular next time I am here. Delicious!

This place was amazing! I can’t think of anything that wasn’t perfect about it. We went the day after Labor Day and maybe that made it officially off season. If so, it was good for us because we were seated right away and had wonderful service the entire evening. Our waiter was very attentive, but not overly so. Our delicious drinks were ordered and promptly delivered. Our waiter had explained the menu to us — tapas— and everything sounded delicious. We decided to order the Ceasar salad, which we were told was plenty to share, Japanese hibachi beef and a Boursin and shrimp pizza dish. OMG! Everything was absolutely delicious!!! The salad was fresh and crispy and had the perfect amount of dressing. It was served in a bowl and as promised, plenty for the 2 of us. The beef was delicious and so tender. Absolutely wonderful! The pizza was so, so good. Perfect crust – not too thin, just right. Would have loved to try other things here, but we were full. Wish I could remember our waiter’s name — he did an excellent job! Would we return? Yes we would if time allows! So, so good!

It’s a trendy, cool atmosphere. Different. Bettter. Sometimes not as crowded as you want. Probably not the typical family w kids choice and that’s a lot of the Hilton Head populous. However, the food is amazing. The cinnamon lamb kebabs are one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten. The presentation of the dishes is superb and the service is great. Been twice and walked away in awe both times w the experience.

Very pleased with food and service! It was a nice change from standard fare. The tapas were delicious, very large and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is interesting nightclub like but did not bother us.

Wasn’t crazy about this place at all. Service is fine. But the food was a different story. Out of the 6 or so tapas we got, I didn’t like any!

The only things needed to give this place 5 stars would be to have beer on tap as advertised and update the décor. Even though it’s dark inside you can see some water damage and the seats need to be reupholstered. The food… amazing. Started with the flight of soups. Corn chowder, harira, and mulligatawny stew. We loved them all so much we picked the little dishes up to drink all of it. Not one drop wasted. Then we got the gaucho sliders of medium beef, fried mozzz, and tomato. Omg. Seriously one perfect bite. The crab cakes were good but the slaw with them was even better. The chicken lettuce wraps. Let’s just say there was nothing left on the plate. And finally the angry lobster with spicy shrimp fried rice. Yum yum yum. For dessert we did the fun do. Which is fondue with hazelnut chocolate(Nutella) and dulce de leche. But then there was a little fire to roast your marshmallow to make s’mores. No lie. And fruit. And nuts and sprinkles. So yummy. Everything was just enough. A perfect tapas dinner. Quite the good drink list. The(monitor-I don’t know what word I was trying to type when I wrote this review in the car on my phone but I’m sure that whatever I got was delicious) was so good you had to keep from sucking it down too fast. And good wine flights. See the pic for the cool holder thingy. Our first time here and a good choice.

Excellent service and bar. Great choices for flights of tequila and bourbon Everything was amazing. We had hummus(made tableside), and cobb salad(bleu cheese vinaigrette was fabulous). Must try the shrimp & grits– husband said it was one of the best things he’s ever had. Sliders were VERY good, and I usually avoid them. Coconut chicken, flatbread pizza, goat cheese– we enjoyed every last dish. We’ll be back.

Excellent! My girls and I were in HH on vacation, and tried this place based on Unilocal reviews. Turned out to be better than expected. Service was relaxing, not rushed, not slow. The 3 different regional tapas options is a great idea. We tried a few from each region. They were all terrific! The interior is dark, romantic and modern. I wouldn’t say it was an ideal place for children. When we go back to HH, this will be one of our«don’t miss» places for dinner.

I took my wife and two teenage daughters who do not eat too much other than chicken fingers and French fries. However, once they tried the food they loved everything they tried. I can honestly say having the hummus made fresh at the table was great and the bacon wrapped dates were amazing. Service and restaurant staff was very friendly. I can’t say anything bad about the place.

Our group of 11 made a reservation an rode our bikes from down the road. I don’t think we realized it was mostly tapas and kind of a night club in the evening when we selected Daniels. We almost thought we should select another restaurant but our server immediately changed that idea an the menu looked amazing. Service was unreal the food was breathtaking and the price was not bad. I would highly recommend Daniels. I don’t usually go to tapas and there is no oven view but you will have such a great time that you won’t care. Wine selection was great and our friends found a new red wine to savor crafted along with Dave Matthews. Just enough craft beer bottles to keep a beer snob happy as well. Don’t miss it! The kids meals were great as well as tested by the parents. Our servers knowledge was spot on for food and drink

The bacon wrapped dates with Brie were possibly the best thing I’ve ever eaten. We choose a couple of small plates and everything was excellent and there was nothing that was just«ok». I will definitely be coming back when I’m in town!

We didn’t even make it in. The host was so rude and unfriendly. We stood unrecognized for several minutes while he spoke to a prospective bar patron. Walked out!!!

Try the table side prepared hummus! It won’t disappoint as the layering of flavors is amazing. The seared scallop lettuce wraps & lamb were great! Great service & reasonable prices.

Still a great venue. Menu has evolved a bit but the wine and Mojitos are the same. :-)

They have a very intriguing menu and we were so happy that we ordered a little from everywhere! We played it safe and ordered a pepperoni pizzetta as a back up plan thinking if we hated everything else we’d still have something edible. While it was totally unnecessary because everything else was delicious, we were glad we ordered it because it was outstanding. We also tried the flight of soups, crispy duck wings, cinnamon lamb kebabs, and angry lobster. The corn chowder was outstanding and totally addictive. The mulligatawny soup was very interesting and the flavors were layered well, but I could see this not being everyone’s cup of tea. The crispy duck wings were a must-try! The skin manages to provide a surface for the glaze to cling to while staying incredibly crispy. The angry lobster was delicious and the presentation was on point. The heat is slow and sneaky. The cinnamon lamb kebabs were our most reluctant order, but ended up being our favorite! The carried the aroma of cinnamon and were perfectly cooked. We really should have stopped here. Five«big small plates» were way too much for two people and a lot of food was left untouched by the end of the meal, but after seeing several other tables order the«fon-duo» we just had to order it and you should too.

John was the best waiter ever. Had a great personality and recommended great food! We had a couple cocktails at the bar and this place was very loungy, which was refreshing to see in hilton head. We ordered a bottle of Chalk Hill Pinot noir… where we just visited in Sonoma :) We got a bunch of tapas and just tried a lot of items. The steak salad… was amazing! Seasoned so well… a little salty but overall delicious. The lamb meatballs on the cinnamon stick were so innovative! Very cool idea… it looked like a little lamb chop. There was a little babbagonoush and John brought out some pita upon request :) The lobster fried rice was pretty average, and the tuna lettuce wrap could def use improvement. Just do a tuna tartre… the lettuce and sauce take away from the dish. Our waiter brought out a delicious chocolate lava cake for my bday without any requests! That’s why he got a hefty tip. You do a little thing like that, and it goes a long way! Overall, a very pleasant dining experience and great service!
