Horrible food. Good customer service on the phone. Tasteless and bland food. All the people who are looking for tasty stuff should walk away. One star for Wendy the wonderful person on the other end of the phone taking my order.

This was a pretty good place to eat. The service was really friendly and helpful. the smaller bowls have plenty of food for one. You may end up taking some home with you. Its a small place so seating maybe limited. It’s fast food but made fresh to order.

After driving by this place for years, I decided to finally use one of the coupons that came in my mailbox for them and check them out. I was pleasantly surprised… the food was very fresh tasting… great quality and the veggies in the dish were perfect. I ordered a spicy thai noodle dish… but it wasn’t that spicy at all. I do think the meals are way overpriced… but I will come back when I get the coupons.

Very impressed! My first time here and was pleasantly surprised. A little on the expensive side, but the food came in very healthy portions and we are with a coupon so it ended up being an excellent deal today! The food was delicious as well!

My friend and I stopped in here a couple months after their opening for lunch since it’s close to home, had great reviews, and is serving Asian food! Can’t go wrong with that combo, thought we!
Upon first impression, the place is small. About 10 tables, perhaps? It’s a dimly-​lit place without much walking or waiting space when it’s busier, between the tables up against the wall and the counter where you order your food.
We both already had our minds made up to try the Singapore Cashew, since it appears to be their most popular dish. That dish itself, as well as their other noodle bowls, is over $ 8.00. I also ordered an egg roll on the side for an extra $ 1ish, and friend got the combo deal (+ drink & egg roll) for an extra $ 2.99.
We decided to dine-​in and opted for a seat next to the ordering counter. In about 5 minutes, the girl who took my order came out with my dish, bringing it to my table. I was expecting to have to go grab it from the pick-​up counter, so that was nice service.
One bite of the Singapore Chicken and my hopes and dreams were shattered. Ughh, these thick, heavy noodles and all the veggies and chicken were absolutely drenched in this sweet, odd-​flavored sauce. The only flavor came from this sauce glooped on everything – which has no zest or zing or spice. Halfway through my bowl and it was already just hitting like a rock. So heavy.
The egg roll and «dipping sauce,» I don’t even want to talk about. Most soggy, bland egg roll I have ever had. Ever. Hell, I have had far superior egg rolls from the freezer section of the grocery store. Absolutely zero flavor, and the ‘sauce’ was equally bland and just plain disgusting! Wtf is that goop, anyway?! Sure as hell isn’t sweet chili sauce!
All this for close to $ 11, are you kidding me?! Don’t know what passes for Asian food in Canada (HIMYM fan – had to go there), but DAMN. This is some nasty, horridly inauthentic and overpriced food.
2 stars just for the employees because they were all very nice, efficient and friendly.

My favorite is the Crispy Chicken. My reliable go to (any flavor), always consistently good.
The place is clean and the staff if friendly!

Three stars for the food itself, one bonus star for the service. Those kids were super nice, even though I couldn’t leave ‘em a tip ‘cos I had no cash, and their c.c. machines aren’t set up to include tips.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when stopping in at ye olde Wok Box recently — - basically I was stabbing in the general direction of Asian bento/​noodle/​soup w/​lots of spices and heavy on the lean meats. I wasn’t disappointed as far these expectations went! This place offers it all, from Vietnamese (Bahn mi and Phở) to Thai/​Indians (Curry Curry curry in a big olé hurry hurry hurry, and line item naan if you please). They offer a little Korean, a little Chinese and it wasn’t long til I realized that this place has the grand ambition, and maybe audacity, to bring the flavors and secrets of a vast swath cutting through the enormous Asian continent (or at least the South/​East portions, thereof).
I learned this is a newish chain, and this particular store has been in business for about 14 months, and is based in Canada. This is not as strange as it may at first seem — - Canada actually has had a huge and continuing influx of immigrants, many of which come from South/​East Asia. If I remember my 5^th grade geography correctly, Canada had the 2^nd largest land mass in the world, behind the Soviet Union, which has since dissolved… which should leave Canada as the reigning champ, right? Yet they have a tiny, disparate population that belies their geography. Canada’s population still hovers around 35 million, or about ¹⁄₁₀^th as many of their uncouth, loud ‘n’ proud southern neighbors (no, NOT Mexico, simpletons! Not Honduras or El Salvador, you’re gettin’ colder…). A quick trip overseas (pick a country, just about ANY country) and observe how obnoxious our countrymen and women invariably behave, and you’ll see why so many Yanks resort to the rank cowardice of wearing backpacks w/​the Canadian Maple Leaf, as though to say these other countries/​denizens: «I’m not with THOSE nitwits.»
So ey, Canada, Nice Job with Wok Box! Even though the name of the joint still sounds like something you’d find in Elmer Fudd’s Chest of Dwah-​wuhs. (apologies to those of you too young/​benighted to know about Mr. Fudd’s endearing speech impediment). Though I guess that’s an observation only some uncultured, supremely uncouth Yank would make…

I’ve passed this place many times, and I’ve always wanted to stop in for lunch. Boyfriend and I decided to pull the trigger and stop by today for lunch. Walking in for lunch, I noticed the place is very small, like a narrow hallway. It was a weekday lunch hour so pretty busy. The food smelled pretty good, but there was this underlying scent of yuck. It smelled like the bathroom waste had over flowed or something was rotting. It made me lose my appetite pretty quick.
I ordered the Miso Ramen soup, and boyfriend ordered the Indian Butter Chicken with Naan bread. We made it a combo with the spring rolls and samosa. It took a good while for the food to come, and it was a little awkward because the tables are very close together. I felt like I was part of my neighbors business meeting as my elbow kept touching the table.
When the food came, it looked really good. That’s all I can really say. My soup, smelled like the plastic bag that the udon noodles came in. The hard boiled egg was ice cold, and the soup in general just seemed to be lacking flavor. Not at all what I thought I was going to be eating from the description. Boyfriends meal was bland, tasted like plain chicken over some rice with some type of sauce. Nothing special.
It was a let down for sure, but at least I gave this one a try, not for me, but maybe some one else.

Stopped in to try the food when La Bella Vita Pizzeria was closed unexpectedly and I didn’t feel like cooking.
It was about 6pm and the place was almost empty so food was prepared fast.
I ordered the Korean Firecracker. The Firecracker sauce was more of a fizzle but a little srirachi fixed that problem. The Shanghai noodles were good and the overall dish worked fairly well.
If I were to order it again I’d get it without the kimchi as it was really mediocre and too salty.
The food was ok but there are several teriyaki places around that are much better.

I came here with low expectations for the food but high expectations for how quickly I could get my food. It was 9PM when my friend and I went in to grab a quick bite. Our «quick bite» ended up having a wait of 30−40min to get our food. There was only one guy working and around 10 people waiting. It took a while for him to take the orders and then to prepare all the food, and he was clearly overworked. We ordered the korean firecracker and Singapore cashew noodle boxes which both tasted okay but was on the greasy side. As much as I dislike Panda Express, I’d pick that place over Wok Box any day. If it was a place where I could at least grab a quick bite, I may return but as it is, definitely not worth my time and money.

I have come to Wok Box now a few times, it is directly across the street from my apts. so I can just walk over!
The staff is always very friendly and the place is always very clean!
I have only tried the Singapore Cashew with steak and with chicken. I think it tastes great! Especially with the steak!
The one thing I like the most, is the few times I have been, it is always consistent, this seems to be missing at several restaurants I have gone to but not here!

We tried this place as we purchased a Groupon ($ 10 for 2 entrees with fountain drinks). It was definitely the money we paid (maybe, slightly more).
We got Indian Butter Masala Rice Box and Singaporean Cashew Noodle box (both with chicken). Both myself and wife liked the butter masala… we were surprised that an Indian dish was good (not totally Indian, still deliciously) at a non-​Indian place.
The Singaporean noodle: it was decent…
Also, they have some prizes (with 1 in 2 odds) in their fortune cookies (we got a combo free for our next visit :-)).
Overall, I still prefer Noodle & Co across the street, but having choice is good.
I like the face that it has 3 LCD TVs (all of them tuned to sports).

I grabbed a quick lunch to go to try out this newish place nearish work. I got the butter chicken rice box which consists of a box with rice (choice of white or brown), butter chicken on top and a side of naan. Nothing in this box is authentic. Rice is a little on the soggy side. The butter chicken doesn’t have the Indian spices I’m used to, I think the one spice I distinctly taste and see is black pepper. The «naan» is just soft pita bread, not even grilled.
The workers seems friendly enough, I do like the fact you can see what they’re doing. Although they got my friend’s order wrong (he ordered with beef, he got chicken instead).
There are better fast food joint around this area to prevent me from coming here again.

Ugh, I wanted to increase the stars, the staff was again very nice, and the place seemed clean. But dang it, I am disappointed again with the food… again.
Had the chicken breast banh mi and it was nothing like banh mi at all. The bread was not the tasty French bread I am use to with these sandwiches. They use this sauce in it that isn’t tasty nor Vietnamesy, it was dripping all over too like the burgers do in the Carls Jr commercials eaten by model types. The chicken was so dry too and the pickled carrots were missing, there was just one thin slice of cucumber.
Also tried the the Kung Pao steak. The beef was tri tip and it was decent, not as tender and juicy as the one my friends mom made, but still not dry and hard. The noodles weren’t delicious like the ones at Panda.
Overall I am still disappointed in the quality of food, but the employees are very friendly and I do appreciate that. Just wish the food matched.

This place was ok. I tried it today for lunch, and I wasn’t super impressed. Specifically, I ordered the Sweet Mongolian noodle box, and while it’s described as having «sweet garlic sauce, fresh veggies, broccoli and udon noodles,» I did not find a single piece of broccoli in my bowl. I like broccoli a lot, so that was pretty disappointing.
I did enjoy the flavor of my meal, and it was great that I could get a combo with a single samosa and a drink — I liked that there was an option for the smaller side instead of having to get a full «small bites» order since I usually can’t even finish my meals when I eat out anyways.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the ambiance for a lunch place — it was really dark, so eating there for a fast lunch felt a little weird.
I’ll probably come back here a few more times to try some other things on the menu, but I’m not in a huge rush to do so.

I tried a Banhmi sandwich with grilled chicken over here. The sandwich was ok with some grilled pieces of chicken which lacked flavor. I was comparing this sandwich with the one from «Best Baguette» in Beaverton where I had my first Banhmi sandwich. Obviously, Best Baguette has set a higher standard for Banhmi with tons of stellar reviews. I liked the kind of smoky flavor in the chicken Banhmi from Best Baguette and for $ 3 a sandwich you cannot beat the price of BB.
Wokbox charges a heft $ 6 for their Banhmi which is about the same size and also lacks the flavor kick as in Best Bagutte’s. Glancing at the menu, i found their other entrees to be priced pretty steep as well. For a fast food like place, i wouldn’t want to spend a whole lot like a restaurant.
Overall, a not so impressive pricey place which I wouldn’t frequent.

I didn’t even know this place existed until the other day while I was walking my dog in the neighborhood! Located near AAA, Panera Bread, Sleep Country, Jamba Juice, KFC, Del Taco, Wells Fargo, Carl’s Jr, BJ’s Brewery and other fast food joints, I was quite surprised that another restaurant is opening up during this recession!
Consider Wok Box a fast-​food Asian fusion, resto that makes their grub fresh, fast and fantastic! This Canadian franchise has made it’s way into the Pacific NW and surprisingly into the ‘burbs of Hillsboro.
Inspired by all flavors from all over Asia, their diverse menu is VERY healthy and innovative! (Great for those who are watching what they eat!) Their claim to fame with their menu is utilizing fresh herbs, bold spices, quality meats and their «signature sauces».
SINGAPORE CASHEW NOODLE BOX ($ 8.29) I ordered the meal with chicken. The Shanghai noodles were cooked pretty well. It was drenched in a Sriracha peanut sauce, chopped veggies (celery, broccoli, carrots, onions) and cilantro. **Note: all of their noodle box items are topped with bean sprouts, lime and green onions** The flavors were pretty decent for a fast food Asian fusion place. My only gripe was that I wish my veggies were cooked a bit longer and there wasn’t too much sauce in the dish. Overall, the meal was pretty hefty and good for two servings. I was glad I had leftovers for my lunch the next day!

This place… surprised me!
I was out… again… just moved back here… hungry… raining…tired…baby…difficult life… hahaha
so I was out and saw this Wok Box thing and was like… OK…
I walked in and was greeted promptly by a guy and a girl working behind the counter. You see all the woks they have there and a lot of sauce stations. There was no one else in the place so that gave us lots of time to read the menu.
They have a crazy mix of Asian and Indian foods… all of which came out pretty yummy!
I ordered something with Buddha in the name… it was good. I got double steak. Mom ordered the same thing with tofu. My recommendation is to say NO to the veggies they put on top RAW after they box your dish. They kinda ruined it for me…
I ordered for B some take out curry and he loved it. We also got some samosas and spring rolls. The spring rolls were super yummy! samosas were crispy and filling was outstanding.
I was SHOCKED that the food here was as good as it is… but seriously… when I want some fast food action without the drive thru… this will be my place.

I’m going to give this one 3.5 stars. Wok Box is a definite step up from Panda Express and other similar quick service places. It isn’t up to par with non-​chain Chinese and similar places. The food here is fresh made to order in a plentiful quantity (egg rolls and like are obviously factory made).
I tried the sweet Mongolian noodle combo with an egg roll. A bit over $ 11, so it feels a bit high, considering the type of place it is. The egg roll was ok, basically what you can get in the freezer section of the grocery store. It was served with a sweet dipping sauce. That, along with noodle dish, and I had a lot of sugar at this meal. The noodle dish was fairly tasty. My only complaint is the over abundance of raw green onions and bean sprouts that were piled on top as an garnish.
The place is on the small side. Very bad design for ordering. Very tiny area, with the soda machine behind it. (Self serve). If the place was busy, it would be very hard to get a refill, or to make it to the bathroom in the back.
Basically, I left full and satisfied. Next time, I’ll skip the combo and have a water. The portions are pretty large, so it may be a bit big for lunch, but not quite large enough for two, maybe two orders could feed three pretty well.
A side note, I’m skeptical of many of the first reviews. Really, a bunch of people from New York and Boston were the first people to rate a small place in Hillsboro. Kind is hard to believe.

Good food, great service. However, I do think $ 11 and change for chicken and rice, 1 egg roll, and a soda is a bit steep for lunch that isn’t table service.
You walk in, go to the back of the place (odd setup), order, sit, they bring it to you, you bus your table. No complaints there. The staff is very helpful with making sure you understand the menu, order something at the right spice level, all of that. Nice touch since Wok Box is new to the area entirely — in fact, it’s a Canadian chain just making entry into the US. So, a little extra guidance is appreciated.
My orange chicken was crisp, lightly battered white meat chicken coated in an orange sauce that was the perfect mix of tart and sweet. I could have used just a little more sauce though; I sure don’t like it swimming in sauce, but there was not an extra drop to be had. The rice was fine, perhaps a smallish portion but ok. I wouldn’t recommend the egg roll — mine was a little cold in the middle but really just kind of cabbage-​y and not terribly flavorful. All in all, a good amount of food in that I was perfectly satisfied without being stuffed, but certainly wasn’t taking any food home.
Definitely some good points, and I have my eye on the butter chicken and rice bowl for next time. I just think the price is a little high for what you’re getting, in an area teeming with Asian restaurants of all varieties.
