First time eating here. They have Gluten Free Biscuits!!! My husband got the veggie burrito and it was huge and«out of bounds»! My 7 year old loved her bacon GF biscuit sandwich. And my 5 year old said she would like to try her biscuit with egg/bacon next time. I also got a mocha with hemp milk and it was great. I have had a mocha with hemp milk at another place and it was terrible so I was scared but this was good! They also have Soy & Almond for those needing alternative milks. Will be bring hubby back for lunch soon!

Came here for lunch and got the BBQ mixed plate(Teri chicken and pulled pork). The meats were very good, but the rice was very disappointing.

Spent the day at Hornings hideout and wanted to eat something delicious. Stopped by this place and was very satisfied! The food was delicious. Not too salty, packed with flavor, and the meat was so tender and juicy! I highly recommend stopping by this place for the friendly service and affordable, quick, and delicious food! Didn’t get to try their drinks, but they were very tempting!

Amazing! My first time this morning and I tried the breakfast burrito with the umu pork. Manaia indeed! I also had the matcha green tea tsunami drink… yum! Service is excellent and I was fortunate enough to chat with Toa this morning… beautiful woman. The place is very inviting and I absolutely Love all the Samoan art! I support all small businesses and this one is extra special because it’s a Samoan family business. Cheehoo! Manaia mea Uma!(No pun intended) looking forward to many more trips here! Fa’afetai lava Toa and the rest of the crew!

I’ve been eating here since right after they opened. So thankful to have outstanding island food in downtown Hillsboro. Have never had a bad meal here. Best biscuits and gravy in the pdx area. Teriyaki chicken is outstanding, as is tbe umu pork. If you are at tbe courthouse around lunch time, Manaia is a no brainer and a can’t miss destination.

I love this place! The staff is always friendly, and even though they’re usually packed(especially for lunch) the food comes out pretty quick. They have a great selection of tasty coffee drinks(the Milkyway Sunset is one of my faves!) and their umu pork sandwich with grilled pineapple is my guilty pleasure. The Mac salad is BOMB! I’m just sad they’re not open on Mondays! There’s lots of seating, so this place is great to sit and relax alone, or chat with friends and family. Or, get lunch to go and walk to the park two blocks away and make it a picnic. You can’t go wrong!

Came here because of Jury duty at the courthouse. Glad I did. Excellent coffee in Hillsboro? Yup. Get your third wave coffee movement on here. The breakfast burritos are significantly better here than in Portland, and the sauces are spectacular. Who would have guessed? Btw, this is also stones throw from the best Sushi in Oregon(Syun Izikawa). Go Hillsboro!

So, the only reason I’m not giving 5 stars, is because I haven’t had anything other than their pulled pork, rice, and mac lunch. That said, Delicious! There can be a bit of a wait sometimes if you hit the lunch rush, but it’s a great value for some great eats. The pork is full of flavor, and if you get the full size there should be enough for lunch tomorrow too. And when you get there, reheated it’s just as good! I can’t say as to the mac salad staying power, cause it’s so good I normally eat the whole kit and kaboodle up front. Atmosphere is great, very kick back coffee house, but do beware it can get a little humid, so wear layers. Eventually I’ll get around to trying something else, but seriously gonna be a challenge to leave my pork…

This is hands down the best island food restaurant I’ve been to in Oregon. I could eat the plate lunches and bowls over and over again with just as much satisfaction and enjoyment as the first time I tried it. The coffee is great, the people were great. Just a wonderful place.

This place is AMAZING! Family owned and operated… food is cooked and served. They donate left overs for the day to the homeless. Pork melts in you mouth… the mac salad is full of flavor! So happy we found this place! This will be a consistent meeting spot for us!!! Yes!!!

Can you start a Manaia here in Orange County, California? I dream about the food there especially the Pork. By far the best I’ve ever had :) shout out to the cook! You Tight!

Update: we’ve been coming here almost every Saturday for a year now, and still haven’t gotten tired of their incredible biscuits and gravy. Plate lunches are also very good, and their mac salad is one of the only ones I’ll eat. And even in January, I’m a sucker for their blended drinks(although I prefer mine half sweet!)

«The Uso» was AWESOME!!! I wish I had taken a picture of it first. But it was gone just as quick if not quicker than it took for them to prepare it! I enjoyed every bite! I wanted to order another one. Not so much due to the portion size, but because it was sooooo delicious!

Great coffee shop right in downtown Hillsboro on main street. Great food with a Hawaiian influence and vegetarian options too. Coffee is good and their lunch is bbq’ed right on the sidewalk for you. Great place.

I found this place on Unilocal.I’m from Tigard and glad I made the trip. This place is awesome! Burritos were delicious! They were tasty, but at the same time left you with a good feeling, unlike greasy burritos(I had the veggie burrito). Nice low-key, laid back place. Just the way I like it — malo aupito, aloha

What a neat little find! It was HOT outside and my roller derby team was at the farmers market. I needed something to drink QUICKSTYLE and was happy to find this place. Staff was friendly, put up with me not knowing what I wanted at all and made some suggestions that ended up being delicious. The place has a food menu I am curious to try for sure and with such a friendly staff, I honestly can’t wait to go back.
