I have been going to Michaels and purchasing candles for a little side craft business lately, and have not been disappointed. Things can be pretty expensive, but hassle no more when you can get a 40% or 50% off coupon. However, you can only use the coupon on one item. A plus for this store, Hobby Lobby, and Joe Ann’s is that if any one of them have coupons, you can use that coupon at either of the other two stores. I like Michaels and am always greeted by friendly employees at the checkout. My only complaints are some of the high prices and the non-​existent normal candle sales.

My favorite Michaels! This one is out of my way to drive to but worth it. My local Michaels is smaller and just ok. This Michaels is larger with more stock and more variety of items. The customer service is great, employees act happy that you’re there. I desperately needed a cream colored foam pumpkin, my store was out, this Michaels still had plenty. That combined with their associates made my night!

As for the store’s content, it is hit or miss for me. Apparently my crafts aren’t mainstream enough, which I can accept. My reason for an abysmal rating is because of the TERRIBLE service, aka, lack of service. The cashier lady? She was awesome. Older and very sweet lady and she greeted me and was very kind. Sadly, her warm disposition wasn’t enough to save the rest. I literally walked past 6 different employees… no one offered to help and 2 saw me approaching and actually turned around to walk the other way. The first time, I thought was a fluke. The second, it is a pattern. I won’t return and will gladly shop the competition.

You really cant go wrong with this store. Stopped in here last week and found a lot of Christmas items already marked down 50−60% already. I picked up some ornaments that were marked down to a great price. You can find anything and everything here in this store. I’ve been here many times to find various crafty items. Even had a picture custom framed from here and the staff was very friendly!

Michael’s is ok, but I prefer Jo-​Annes personally. Make sure you don’t buy stuff without a coupon unless its on sale!

Our family has been pretty happy with Michael’s. They usually have anything we are looking for and the staff has been overly friendly to both us and our kids. For arts/​crafts/​sewing or other misc needs this is a great location.

I’ve recently taken up cross-​stitch/​tapestry again, and decided to check out Michael’s to see what they had in the way of kits. Wow, what a selection, and there are some really really beautiful designs. I bought an Oriental landscape design ($ 40) and it is stunning, or at least it will be. The store itself is clean, tidy and well-​organized. Apart from sewing, I’m not really a «crafty» person but they seemed to have an extensive range of craft materials, though I’m sure you could pick up a lot of the scrap-​booking things from, say, Meijer for cheaper. The staff are super friendly, and there’s tons of parking.
