Horrific! I can’t say anything better about this restaurant. We show up on a Friday night expecting a wait. After an hour waiting I was told we were next. A half hour later we checked again they made excuses about having too many tables that were taking more than an hour to eat.(Imagine that??). Then we ask again specifically if we were one of the next tables to be seated. They didn’t answer just made excuses again about people not leaving. Well after way to long of waiting and watching other people leave we left too. They had a party in back and obviously have no ability to plan their restaurant around that. I will not be attempting this restaurant again.

We were visiting from out of town and didn’t know what to expect from the name. The atmosphere was fun, food was great(truffle fries were a huge hit) and wonderful service.

The food was amazing and both red and green chile were on point! My husband and I are from New Mexico, so we know what«chile» should be. My only complaint is the hour wait when there were tables. I asked twice about being seated, and finally nearly 10 minutes after the initial quoted time I asked again. This was my last attempt, as we had decided that if the table wasn’t ready then, that we’d be leaving. She sat us. The food and service were worth a wait, but the management of said wait left something to be desired. Overall, food was amazing, service outstanding, but be certain to make a reservation or you’ll get lost in translation.

My husband and I enjoy going here. The fire pit is awesome! Food is pretty darn good as well. So far so good. We’ve been about 3 times. Little pricey but worth the atmosphere. only thing it’s missing is music!

Food is fine – nothing to write home about. Service was terrible. Made a reservation at 7:30 pm. Paid the $ 200 tab at 8:30 pm and was asked to leave(though we still had drinks on the table) so they could close. I’ve had better service at McDonalds.

This is the second time I’ve been here and it’s a gem. Gluten free options are amazing and the Truffle fries keep us coming back. Couldn’t ask for a better spot!

We come here often. Very inconsistent. The service and staff are fabulous, but the the food quality and portions are an unknown every time! For example, tonight I ordered the ½ chicken, and it came out as a small«pigeon or Cornish game hen» minus some. Frustrating. Don’t know that I can recommend.

Old blinking light seems like a Texas style restaurant. All the food is very good and a little spicy. They have local taps, brunch, lunch, dinner and a full bar. My only issue is the attention to detail. For example the salt and pepper shakers are very dirty, half the light bulbs are out or missing in the bathroom and the staff is grumpy AF. The raspberry Mohito I had was delicious, they use a purée. Overall I would come here again but I would hope that they did a little cleanup.

Wednesday night, about 5.45pm, seated straight away, service was super fast & friendly. Food delicious! So full right now. When we were seated we were told that happy hour finished at 6pm, we ordered our first drinks and just before 6pm our server(Tyson according to the bill) asked if we wanted another round before happy hour finished which I though was really great of him. We shared the Brussels sprouts to start — they came out super quick & so yummy, he had the strip steak which was cooked beautifully and I had the trout with ravioli. My meal was to die for. There was 4 big pieces of ravioli & I could of had a big bowl of just that but then I’d have no trout! And half a trout it was. For dessert we asked them to wait 5 or 10 minutes for our food to settle which they were more than happy to do. We had a coupon for a free mud pie with any entrée, it was like a coffee ice cream cake with an Oreo crust & walnuts, we were going to share but I’m not the biggest coffee fan so I had the apple stack. They were both great desserts. The apple stack was a touch too sweet if I was hard set on eating all of the caramel off the plate but the ice cream helped with that. The mud pie wasn’t too coffee at all, just the right amount. The bill came to about $ 100 inc tip(3 drinks plus all of the above) which isn’t expensive for the quality. So glad we’re local because we’ll totally be back here again.

We had a great date night out at Old Blinking Light. We were slightly surprised that there was a 30-minute wait at 6:00 on a Wednesday, but they seated us more quickly than they had quoted, and we got a patio table to boot. We ordered the crispy Brussel sprouts for starters. We loved how they were shredded, not halved like we normally see, making them extra crispy. For my entrée, I chose the pork loin. The waiter said he had never tried it, and hadn’t heard great things about it, but I kept with my gut and ordered it anyway. It was delicious, and the presentation was beautiful! It came covered in chimichurri sauce, with a stack of fried-onion topped mashed potatoes in the center. This masterpiece was topped off with broccoli and steamed, whole carrots. Amazing! My husband loved his green chile pasta. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience there.

I am a fan! I absolutely love this place. A group of friends and I were in search of a nice dinner spot, with a slight upscale feel to enjoy our Saturday night. We Unilocaled restaurant in the highlands ranch/centennial area and The Old Blinking Light popped up. Although the the stars are only 3.5 stars, the menu appealed greatly to our group, so off we went! And man, are we glad we did! We walked in and were in love with the ambiance. The décor is slightly lodge-ish but with a modern twist, dimly lit with outdoor seating and fire pits. Clean, quaint, sophisticated. Pretty awesome! It was surprisingly a slow night so we were quickly seated. Our server greeted us kindly and we ordered a slew of items. The kitchen seemed to be running a bit slow as our food arrived roughly 40 – 45 minutes after ordering. It may have been a bit of a wait, we were elated when the dishes arrived! Every entrée that was served was absolutely delicious. The highlight of the night were the sweet potato fries with duck fat(omg! *drools*) and my Filet Au Piovre. And the alcoholic beverages were outstanding, if I may add. At the end of the night, our entire group of friends were boasting as to how wonderful this place was and that they’d love to return. All in all, it was a good night with great friends and awesome food. I look forward to returning and enjoying the other items on their menu.

We Unilocaled this place last night in our search for a tasty meal and we were not disappointed. Although there was a bit of a wait we were waited on almost immediately after being seated. We ordered a variety of dishes including a Mac & Cheese, pulled pork sand which, a burger and the ribs which my husband ordered. He substituted the brussel sprout leaves for fries and thankfully so as they were some of the most flavorful he’s ever had! My book book sandwich was equally tasty with a generous amount of sauce on the meet. Because the bottom bun to become supersaturated however; a combination of the sauce and the temperature of the pork which caused the bread to turn to mush but perhaps that is a Fairly common issue with any kind of hot sandwich. My friend ordered the four cheese mac & cheese and it was very very well done! They used a ziti noodle which was a wonderful vehicle for a very tasty, cheesy sauce. Her husband got a burger and by the time I looked over to see if he was enjoying it it was almost completely gone! We ordered a stacked cinnamon apple dessert for the table and it too disappeared rather quickly! 0BL was an awesome choice for dinner and we would highly recommend it. There’s a very strong possibility we will return here when we move to Denver in a few weeks.

Blackened shrimp tacos were very tasty and had a nice kick but way too much mango! Mango is very sweet overpowering and a little bit of mango goes a long way. Great service here. Would definitely return.

We had some friends in from Chicago and we were showing them around town. After leaving Red Rocks, we were trying to think of a place to have lunch, and Old Blinking Light came to mind. We were seated on the patio on a beautiful day. I glanced over the menu and settled on the stacked enchiladas and added grilled chicken. I honestly just expected the usual chicken enchiladas. Boy was I surprised when this beautiful dish arrived in front of me and looked almost too delicious to eat. I jumped in and my mouth was even watering as I was consuming it. I couldn’t eat it all because it was a very large portion, but I was very happy to get a to go box for the rest. It was amazing! Even the leftovers were amazing! I would suggest anyone who goes to OBL, get the stacked enchiladas! You won’t be disappointed.

Been Twice. The menu gets me really excited. I like chiles and spicy food that still has flavor. My take away both times is the food needs a better seasoning. The Green Chile Chicken Fettuccine really excited me, it just fell short of seasoning. Maybe some salt and a touch of garlic. The concept is one worth trying at home. The Achiote Marinated Pork Loin also looks great. Everything is fine but the Chimichurri sauce. I’m not sure I tasted the garlic. Besides the parsley, garlic is the next ingredient and gives a lot of the flavor. I get the 3.5 star Unilocal rating. With a menu as creative and exciting as it is, it should be 4.5. Update, I’ve seen the ratings going up. So I tired the place again. I had the Achiote Pork with Chimichurri again. The Chimichurri was fantastic. Great improvement. Pork loin was hot and tender. Keep up the good work, I’ll be back soon and hope to improve my star rating because I want this place to be great.

I ordered the chicken Cesar salad and it was really good! It was so huge it took me 30 minutes to eat it. It was enough to feed the whole table.

A beautiful area and Restaurant to bring the family and friends to. We were greeted and sat in the back with our party of 10. Very nice and clean place to enjoy your meal. I would say it has a very modern day look to the place. Our server was great and attended our very needs. Her name is Caitlyn and is awesome(ask for her). The food is grade A. I just had a hard time reading the menu. I feel as if the words we’re bunched up. All in all amazing place with a great selection of wines

Food was ok, servers were ok too. My only complaint was the maybe manager who dropped our dessert off. We ordered the brownie sundae. Maybe manager dropped off a slice of cake/torte. Me: excuse me, we ordered the brownie Him: nope. The torte. Me: no, we ordered the gluten free brownie Him: nope. Torte. *runs away After checking the menu, I see there isn’t even a torte option to have accidentally ordered. So… Wtf?! The waitress finally explains to us that they are out of the brownie and the torte replaces the brownie as the gluten free option. This would’ve been fine and dandy if a) this was told to us during ordering, b) the maybe manager told us ANYTHING at all instead of being a condescending dick.

I loved this place and so did my husband. I can’t wait to go back. We haven’t really enjoy any great options in HC until here. Great food and good drinks. It’s clear they spent a lot of time on the decorating and it shows! The deviled eggs were a very solid appetizer!

This place is stellar! Great service and fresh, fun, diverse options for the foodie. Don’t be discouraged if you show up on a Friday night and the wait is about an hour… get a drink from the bar, and you’ll be seated before you know it! Worth the wait! The Highlands Ranch Salad(substitute the chicken with grilled shrimp!) comes with a homemade lemon thyme basil dressing, and is out of this world! Or– order their to-die-for mussels with chorizo and a Caesar salad with a glass of wine. You’ll be one happy camper. Is this place really hidden in Highlands Ranch? Yep.
