Spring Garden Bakery

This is my new local spot to go for coffee and dessert.
Always great service here. They always represent a few different blends of coffee each day which I love!
Their pastries are to die for! Anything from bagels, danishes, brownies, to muffins. So many options including some lunch items in their cooler. Several drink options as well from
Basic bottled sodas to frappacinos.
The atmosphere is casual with some table seating and then a few comfy chairs and sofa. With board games to play and papers to read. This is always a great place to come, relax and enjoy a nice cup of joe.

I was so «wowed» by this place. I stumbled upon it after reading a review from a fellow « Unilocaler» and was so impressed with the level of customer service displayed during their visit.
Well first of all, I am not a native to the area, but when I come to visit my parents who live in High Point, I just usually resort to Starbucks to get my coffee and tea. However, this time, I decided to explore the area for other options as I am beginning to feel a level of burnout with the whole franchise scene.
Upon entering and ordering my coffee, I was informed that my coffee was «on the house» as a previous customer had «paid it forward». I was so touched by this gesture, I then proceeded to follow suite for the next individual .
I ordered the spinach and mushroom quiche to accompany my coffee, which was wonderful. Their was an abundance of mushrooms and spinach that was utterly scrumptious! The crust was perfect in texture and taste-​just the way I like it. Even after microwaving it, it maintained its body and moisture.
For dessert, I ordered a tasty sugar cookie and a caramel blondie. I loved the cookie! Moist on the inside with a slight crispiness on the outside. It really hit the spot with the coffee. (I took the blondie home to give to my parents as a treat– which they warmly appreciated).
I sat in this place for almost 2 hours and watched as additional customers came in and «paid it forward» for the coffee purchase of the next customer. I was so touched at the level of kindness exuded by the patrons and also how thankful the employees were to each and every person who participated in this exceptional level of giving. They never made anyone feel obligated to give to this effort, which was equally comforting.
Upon my exit, I purchased one of their lovely coffee travel cups which I will gladly display upon my return to Philadelphia. I am so pleased to have stumbled upon this gem of a coffee house. It offers its patrons exceptional customer service, quality baked goods, and a quiet place to work on various projects. I am definitely a fan and will most certainly return.

As an update on my review, the manager reached out and wanted to speak with me about my experience. It was a misunderstanding with the employee and they handled the situation very professionally and responded promptly. I understand that mistakes happen, but the way they are handled after the fact is most important. They showed they cared for their patrons and valued my business. Thank you Luke, I will be back. The coffee was excellent, the environment was comfortable and inviting.

Great atmosphere. Comfy seats and a few tables, quiet, nicely decorated. The pumpkin chocolate chip muffins are fantastic! A variety of drinks available. Friendly, non pretentious staff. I really hope this place makes it! If you’re in the area stop by and support a great local business!

I have to say that I’m a huge fan already. Spring Garden Bakery in High Point is a great place to hang out. It’s quiet enough to meet friends, have a meeting, or study. While you’re here, you will get to enjoy their delightful beverages. They have a range of coffee, espresso, teas, and smoothies. However, my favorite is their baked goods. I shouldn’t love them, but I do. They have vegan and gluten free choices as well! Great options are available for breakfast, lunch and snacks. Their employees are all so pleasant and helpful.
If you can’t find what you’re looking for, just ask. My mother has a custom latte made just the way she likes it, and they even wrote down the recipe for the other employees. This kind of customer service is what is going to keep their doors open.

Yeah, so these guys are pretty great. The food and drink options are always on point (muffins and «reece’s» lattes are life), but the welcoming spirit of the store is what really makes my visit there in the mornings so special. The staff are customer-​service driven, making me feel not only like a valued customer but that they care about me as a person. I want to give a special shout-​out to Hannah and Alex, and Luke, the General Manager, because I see them most often (though everyone who works here are great). These three always have smiles on their faces; they’re great at what they do; and they are the real reason I have made Spring Garden Bakery part of my morning routine. Keep doing what you’re doing!
