What a wonderful little tasting room with some truly wonderful wines and a staff that really goes above and beyond to provide friendly, helpful, fun customer service. And what’s not to love about sustainably farmed Estate wines? Every time I come to the area, I want to visit SHED. So my family loaded up and drove to Healdsburg on a rainy Friday. The four of us,(plus my five-month old that I was wearing) descended upon the tasting room, a bit wet from the rain and a bit testy from the drive. They immediately began pouring, talking about the wines, the land, the family, the heritage and the business. The wines were all great, but I really loved the Petite Sirah. 92 points from Wine Enthusiast, and all but one year sold out and one that is club only. I honestly considered joining the club but it’s hard to do when you live in Oklahoma because of our Draconian wine shipping/receiving laws. But we bought some to take with us, and some to leave for family members who were coming to the house in St. Helena a week after us. I know they will enjoy it! It took us just a few moments to fall in love with our hostess, Diana. I was especially relieved and more than appreciative that not only did she not roll her eyes at me for bringing the baby to a tasting room, but instead she immediately starting loving on us, the baby, telling me how beautiful she was, and so on. It just really put me at ease as someone who was vacationing for the first time with my new baby and trying to strike a balance between making sure the baby is happy and having a bit of fun myself. Diana made that experience so much more fun for me! She even ushered me into a little private room to nurse, which was perfect and allowed to get the baby back to a super chill zone! It was really an amazing experience all the way around.

Well priced wines, friendly staff. Will be buying wine from this place because it is affordable unlike a lot of its competition.

If you’re reading this, go to Gustafson! Diana might have been more awesome than the wine but that’s a close call. But what I’m saying is GREATWINE Great people! Love love love My favorites are the zin cuvee and the petite syrah but everything was good. You know you’ve found a great place when every wine is delicious. This was our first stop of the day and we didn’t want to leave. I hear the winery is beautiful and that you can rent the mansion out for family events as well. Yes please! We’ll see you there

This tasting room is not far from the square in Healdsburg, and is well worth the visit. Knowledgeable and entertaining tasting room staff and great wines combined for a great experience while downtown. Its not the same as visiting the winery, but we got to know the winery through our visit, and will get up the hill the next time. Well done!

Pleasant tasting room on the Healdsburg square. We were pretty tasted out by then, but found their chards to be pretty fruit balanced. Would put on my list if have a half day on the square.

Check out Gustafson Family wine… the winery itself is perched high above Lake Sonoma and the Dry Creek Valley, 5 miles up a very steep climb. Though a great place to visit… it is kind of away from the main circuit of wineries. But I was pleasantly surprised to find that they now have a nice, in Healdsburg, tasting room. I love their quality estate grown wines, nothing typical about these flavor profiles. Their bold distinctive Reds and lighter, fruit forward Whites are really delicious. I have my favorites, but I suggest you find your own. Prices are very fair considering the limited production and high quality estate grown fruit

Stopped in for a wine tasting as a part of the«taste of Healdsburg» Food tour. We tasted their rose, Sauvinon Blanc, Zinfandel, Syrah and a whole bunch of other wines — in fact perhaps a few too many. Our private wine guide was helpful and attentive with his service and did a nice job of telling us about the wines. While not a picturesque as visiting an actual winery, this wine tasting shop was a nice respit in our cullinary touring.
