We met the owner and his wife a few months ago and we got his card, this was the first time were in the area and stopped by. The food was really good, we ordered tacos and a shrimp cocktail. The tacos had a good meat portion Asada was flavorful and the pastor was amazing. My husband ordered Tripas and he loved them considering he usually isn’t pleased with tripas. The shrimp cocktail was good also. We definitely will make trips back to this restaurant!!!

I love this place for tacos! Wish it was a little closer to my house but for the most I don’t mind making the drive which says a lot!!! I’ve tried to find places closer but they never taste as good. And my husband and step kids love their burritos. I think out of 20 times eating here only once was it not enjoyable.

This is one of my favorite 3 places to get Mexican food. Whether it be in Mexico, California, or the east bay. The tacos here are fantastic. knock one star for the service. It could be friendlier. I won’t be tipping anymore.

Your typical hole in the wall, mom and pops place. We mainly Coke for the Burris which is amazing! It’s super fresh its traditional and we haven’t found any other place with anything close to it. Don Jose is always kind and attentive to all of his customers which makes us want to return. We’ve also had their burritos which were ok and their tostadas de lomo are also amazing! We are loyal to the birria and will return! Their menudo is also amazingly fresh and a great portion. Try it out :)

Not the biggest burritos in Hayward but they are delicious. It literally looks like a kitchen in someone’s house and tastes just like a grandmas cooking 5 stars for sure we’ve been going here for 5+ years now and great every time.

The best burritos I have ever eaten!!! Al Pastor burrito with that magical green sauce is heaven!!! I have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Quality is consistent. Bathroom is always clean and stocked. This taqueria is worth it in every way.

Love this place! It’s easy to pass this place by… it is a «hole in the wall». Every review who keeps saying the place looks shady and they’re scared to drive in there… grow some balls and don’t walk in fear! Lol! Food is so good. carne asada wet burrito is the bomb. Language barrier… sometimes hard to understand them and for them to understand you because they speak Spanish… but wtf do u expect? It’s a Mexican restaurant… be respectful when ordering and everything is cool! LOVE this place!

Stopped by because I was in town for the day and was delighted by the food. I got a super Asada burrito. Everything was great only reason that kept me from giving the restaurant 5 stars was that I have tasted better burritos

I don’t feel like I’m asking for a lot when I expect my quesadilla to have cheese. Or a taqueria to sell chips… I also don’t see how this place could have such high ratings. Doesn’t seem legit. :/super disappointed

The owner is friendly and always there helping and greeting its customers. They have some Very delicious burritos. I personally love the super burrito with carne asada, the sauce they add on top of it makes it magical!!! Amazing !!! This is my favorite burrito joint. I highly recommend this place. Hands down the best burrito I’ve had

Horrible veggie quesadilla. No cooked ingredients, no rice no beans, just salad between a tortilla.

A hole in the wall. Fuckin bomb! Love the burritos. I always come here. It looks sketchy but trust me it’s the best burrito spot in hayward. Senaidas don’t have shit on arandas!

This place is the epitome of a hole in a wall. Yes the place is kind of sketchy from outside and inside; but food is great! My fiancée loves their huge wet burritos. The green sauce they put on it it’s so delicious. I am not a fan of burritos but I could eat the ones from here anytime; and king taco’s from LA(of course.) My favorite from here are the quesadillas sincronizada though. The veggies and flavorful meat/chicken inside the tortilla mixed with the cheeses they use are the perfect mixture to a wonderful and unforgivable quesadilla. I love coming here just for that! Aguas frescas are also good. Food is cheap and everything is big(check out the pics) one burrito from here is like two from king taco’s. So don’t let the sketchy area and weird looking place stop you from trying great food.

Went here with high hopes based on the other reviews but left disappointed. I thought this was going to be a hole in the wall with amazing food. It was a hole in the wall but the food was not that good. They messed up my order which was not a big deal. The people who work here were super nice and very apologetic. I had the chicken and carne asada tacos. The carne was too chewy and the chicken was not that flavorful. I will pass.

So I bookmarked this place and decided to go today. I ordered: a super carne asada burrito, al pastor taco, lengua taco, and a carnitas taco. I split all these items with my sister. The burrito: decent! I actually enjoyed it. I felt like there was flavor and the meat was not tender but had enough seasoning to be enjoyed. My sister on the other hand did not enjoy the burrito reasoning that it «lacked flavor». The only bad thing I have to say about the burrito was that I bit into something HARD and I have NOIDEA what it was. *scary* lol. Lengua Taco: it was alright. It was my first time eating a lengua taco so I didn’t really have«expectations». However, upon biting into it I wasn’t very impressed. It kinda was what it was. My sister gave this all to me, lol, she wasn’t into tasting«tongue». Al Pastor Taco: it wasn’t bad at all. I thought it was«whatever». It was flavorful don’t get me wrong. But it just wasn’t a taste to my liking or a taste that I’d like to try again. I don’t know. My sister said she’d go back to try an al pastor burrito because she felt that the meat was well seasoned and tasted great in the taco. Carnitas Taco: I didn’t eat this but my sister did and she did not enjoy it. My sister said it lacked seasoning and wasn’t flavorful. I’ve never had carnitas before so I guess next time I’ll try that. Rating: 3 for the pretty good carne asada burrito! Minus one star because the restaurant was dirty and could use some sweeping and wiping down. Minus another start because the characters around the shop act a bit sketchy to me. Possible update to come!

They never ever get my burrito correct. I’ll never forget the first time I ordered a burrito here. I asked for sour cream and they looked at me like I was crazy. When I got back to work and opened up my burrito, I thought back to whether I asked for soup or not, because that literally was what it was. I POURED out the sour cream that had ruined my burrito. Why 4 stars? Because it is good and cheap. I use the excuse of a language barrier as to why they always mess up my order. Don’t be scared of the location. But don’t let your guard down either.

I thought I knew what a great burrito tasted like. I mean, I grew up in San Diego. I have family in Arizona. If I had a nickel for every burrito I’ve eaten, I’d be very very rich. Boy was I schooled when I went to Taqueria Arandas! Yes, the place is a little shady. There are bars on the doors and windows, it doesn’t seem all the clean, and these random dudes sitting outside stare at you as you get out of your car. I’m sure a little white girl like me probably shouldn’t be in this area in general. BUT! Damn these burritos were off the hook! I got the carne asada super burrito and, from the first bite to the last, I was in heaven! The beans and rice were perfectly combined to create an excellent layer of flavor without it being oversaturated and soggy. The carne asada was the right size and flavor. And the«super»(aka guacamole, sour cream, extra cheese) was on the money. I’ve been back twice since I discovered this gem and have been equally pleased with each burrito. There is no need to go anywhere else if you are craving a quality meal. Just ignore the dudes staring at you ;)
