La cajera de la taqueria es muy grosera y pedante y digo yo no sé si no le gusta su trabajo que busque otro que si la haga feliz

First off what taqueria uses rotisserie chicken for their grilled chicken. I was spitting out bones left and right. Second, uses the steam machine for my corn tortillas when should be putting them on the grill. Third, the pico de gallo tasted store bought. Lastly $ 2.99 for a taco. Unreal.

Have been going here since the late 90s when I was younger and I have to say the quality definitely went down. The nachos I got were pretty good, but not as good as before. Just pretty average.

SALLLLLLLTY!!! That’s all you taste when you eat their beans and rice, which is a staple in all their meals! The last 3 times we’ve decided to go to the taqueria because we were already buying some pan dulce we now will NOT be returning. Everything used to be delicious at this location! They had everything ever needed for your full satisfaction Mexican food, but never again returning to this Chavez!!! I used to love their fried whole fish but since you can’t even make a decent taco out of your meal or even enjoy the fish without it being fried dry just sucks all around!!!

Taco stop 3-carne Asada taco 2.99 Most flavorful meat out of the 3 tacos we had! And props on the green salsa ! But kinda expensive for a taco… Why don’t the taco trucks in Hayward stay open later ?!?

A nice homecoming meal after a week in Hawaii! A regular, simple Carne Asada burrito with rice, whole pinto beans, green salsa, and cilantro! YUM! Minus one star cuz it eeerrrks me when they weigh their meat!

I’m from socal so my expectations when it comes to such places are high, and this place disappointed. The carne asada fries lacked flavor, the tacos are overpriced, and the al pastor was dry. In addition to all that, service was slow and unhelpful when asked a question.

This is for the taqueria catering. They have great prices and they know how to feed a crowd! They’re never late with my order and I order several times a year. The only thing I would’ve liked to have known the first time I ordered was that tortillas and salsa don’t come with mass catering. You still have to order those components. Because tortillas take time to warm, it was a small hiccup my first time but since then I know to order it when I place my order. A+ for value!

Today’s lunch, Taco Salad. $ 9.49 plus tax, comes out to be $ 10.44. I do like the take-out container they had for me. Lady in front of me was complaining its expensive on what ever she had gotten. Then she asked how much was my taco salad and said Polo Loco would of charged about $ 6 – 7. Good to know, maybe I should give them a try next time. Who knows, maybe I would get what I paid for or get fresh food with a bargain. It seems, they deep fried the taco shell as you order. For the meat, I tried their pork in some green sauce and had them put the spicy sauce on top. The last thing they would ask me was, if I want slice avocado or guacamole. The food was pretty fresh. The meat was soft and tender. Now I need to drink some hot tea to wash it down. The shell was a bit oily.

Hands down my favorite place to get carne asada fries. 54 burrito truck in Oakland does not compare. I always get the same thing when I come here and every time it’s as good as the last. Employees here are usually friendly and greet me with a smile. As it gets later in the evening, they aren’t too focused on the customers waiting as they are about cleaning up which is why they didn’t get 5 stars.

They are tripping with these prices. I’m talking about mediocre $ 10 burritos and $ 11 skimpy meat plates. First of all, they weigh out a very, very small portion of meat. It doesn’t matter if it’s going in your burrito or on a plate, it’s the same measurement. And get this, only they can see the scale. So you’re not guaranteed to get the same portion size each visit. I’ve seen them put the meat on the scale, then remove some, then chop a little piece and add to the scale then take a larger piece off. Like what the fuck are you doing? Give the scale a chance to catch up. Then they charge for every add on whether it be sour cream, pico de gallo, the small roasted peppers or the small roasted onions. When my lunch came to over $ 15 bucks, I asked the cashier what the hell I got charged for. I ordered the pork morisquetas plate which was listed as $ 6.99 on the menu, some roasted veggies, and a canned soda. She stated that what I received was actually a meat plate which costs $ 10.99. Apparently the pork morisquetas $ 6.99 plate comes with pork, WHITE rice, and beans. The plate I received came with pork, MEXICAN rice, and beans. Also, those little flavorful roasted peppers and onions aren’t free. They cost, too. Finally, canned sodas(yes, the 12 oz.) are $ 1.99 each. Let’s not forget the CACRV. Another $.05…now, I might be wrong, but restaurants don’t normally charge for CACRV on canned sodas, do they? Never the fuck again will I ever step foot in here. Avoid if you’d like to eat for under $ 20 bucks.

Came in to get 10lbs of short ribs from the butcher. As I looked at the display case of all the meats I saw they had perfectly cut short rib. I asked the butcher for 15lbs since they were so beefy. He said sure and walked away. He came back with a huge slab of uncut ribs. In my head I’m thinking, «damn, I’m about to get hooked up with better cuts». Yea, I was totally wrong… I walked out feeling awesome because I had perfect cuts for my party, but when I got home to marinade and prep my excitement and happiness fell apart. All the cuts didn’t look like anything i saw in the window. It made no sense and the only way I could justify such a crappy cut was that he gave no F’s that day. Though the ribs were skimpy and some looked like scraps my marinade and a whole lot of Hennessy made up for it… I’d come back if it was a last resort, but please believe I’m paying more attention to their hustle.

Not exactly the same as a Mi Pueblo, but comes pretty close! I ordered 1 Carne Asada Taco and 1 Spicy Pork Taco and both were cooked to order. It kind of took longer than I expected because they had to grill the meat, but at least it was fresh! I do wish they grilled the tortillas a little bit longer because they fell apart on me really fast. Other than that, this place satisfied my taco craving!

This Mexican market has it all except a hotel room. Nice taco bar, meat section with good carnitas and buche, friendly happy workers. Huge security guard at the door to keep it safe. The fresh food section looked like Safeway with a nice selection of fruits and vegetables.

The taqueria is bomb. There is usually a line but that should tell you how good it is. «Sol» is a pro and moves fast she was very generous with the servings and even accommodated for grilling my burrito. The check out women was extremely helpful as well as polite and offered samples of the different Spanish beverages. I’m happy to see this place move up growing up around this neighborhood the customer service has improved greatly. Not to mention they serve freshly made chips now that’s quality.

Terrible, they used to have the best al pastor super burrito. Now they portion out everything from the meat to the sauces, the meat which is the most important thing is not as flavorful as before and is almost nonexistent in the burrito I ate today. I used to come here all the time, seems like quality has diminished as popularity went up They used to give out free chips and vegetables, now they charge for that too.

I don’t often write reviews for a supermarket but this one is well deserved. If you’re a fan of Mexican food and especially like cooking, this is a superstore of Mexican ingredients! They have a bakery, meat market, produce market and a grocery all in one spot and the selection is absolutely huge. If you don’t want to cook, they have a tacqueria right on premise too and their food is amazing. I wish they were in more locations, but whenever I’m in Hayward, I stop in to re-stock. Great time.

Pan dulce? Check Grab and go taqueria? Check Check cashing/money wiring thing? Check Produce at like crazy great prices? Check Hella dried chilis for like hella cheap? Check Decently priced beer and milk? Check and check Carnitas and all the fixings sold by the pound for taco festing at home? Check Ability to shop in Spanglish? Check Fairly close to the freeway so that if you’re not really in the area, you can totally just take the Tennyson Rd. exit, do some quick shopping, and be back on the freeway in the same time that it would take to gas a car? Check I believe there’s enough evidence here to prove that this place is kinda great.

I drive to Hayward for their burritos! Flavorful meat options — I prefer chicken. Steak is good as well. Nice, open space. Fair prices. Good service, never had any issues with them or my food. Food is always fresh. I also recommend their enchiladas!
