Wow! We love Thai food and in 8 years have never found Thai that measured up to our old favorite places but Thai Peppers was SUPERB! The lettuce wraps were bursting with flavor and incredibly fresh. The best I’ve ever had! Our entrees were beautiful and delicious. Dine in or take out, put this restaurant at the TOP of your list!

Ate here last weekend, while the food was good, the service seemed a little rushed. Even after we finished and trying relax for a little bit, we didn’t really have that welcome feeling. Not sure we will dine here again.

Tried out Thai Peppers in Dominion Valley this past Monday evening for the first time. Ordered my normal Thai-Trifecta! Or is it a Tri-Thaifecta!?: Som Tom(Papaya salad), Tom Yum(spicy Lemongrass soup) and whatever they call their Drunken noodles — with chicken. I ordered all three dishes off the menu as is — was not sure what the spice(heat) level was going to be. I’d like a higher level of heat for all three of these dishes — next time I will request that they increase to «Thai» hot or whatever they call it. Flavor-wise, everything was tasty! Service was very good. Not sure what was going on with the temperature in the dining area, it was far to warm, bordering on uncomfortably hot.

Decent food and service but nothing exceptional by any means. So far, I would say it’s just an average Thai restaurant catering to the«American» palate. Food: The calamari appetizer was mediocre and the presentation seemed a bit rushed(the shredded carrots were hanging off of the plate and onto the table, but not a deal breaker in itself). The calamari, however, was bland and unremarkable. The sauce helped but could not save this dish. Would not order again. The spicy red curry was not spicy at all and the rice portion was on the smaller side even for me(I eat about half as much as the average adult). I’m not sure if they do a spice level option as they never offered when I ordered my curry, but I might have to specify next time. Also, I don’t believe they have spice trays, which would be nice to have in case there are people like me who prefer spicier foods. Overall, I have to say I’m unimpressed… but not disinclined to trying other dishes. Service: The staff don’t really seem to have much experience or training in quality dining service but they were friendly and polite. The food was brought out pretty quickly but they kind of just put dishes in front of the guest without waiting for us to indicate who the dish was for. Not a big deal to switch your plates but to place the correct dish in front of the correct person is a simple action that greatly improves the service and experience for guests. One thing that did bother me was when they brought us lemon slices, it was on a small napkin. I would recommend in the future they use small plates instead. Other than that, the restaurant was small but looked clean and had modern interior with a big TV in the front. Conveniently located and they do deliver with a minimum order of $ 15⁄25(lunch/dinner).

Servers were very friendly and always made sure my drink was full. The food was great! Even tasted a little fresher than the food at the Bristow location. Only con was that i had to wait 15 mins to be seated. Overall this place has the best and most authentic Thai in the Gainesville/Haymarket area. I will be revisiting thai peppers frequently!

Good(not great) Thai food. Will definitely be a regular due to the limited take our options nearby. Loved the Thai fried rice and the phở.

I’ve only been once, so I don’t have a lot to base this on so far. The service was great, the place is nice(if somewhat limited in seating, and no liquor license yet), and it has a bigger menu than the other Thai place in town… but. I didn’t think it was as good as its sister in Bristow. We had the sample appetizer plate to start, and it didn’t really taste«Thai» to me. More like Chinese. We then had the Kad Pra Pow(stir fry with Thai basil), Pad Thai and Thai fried rice with pork. All were good and tasty, but nothing special(and the best Thai fried rice I’ve found in the area is at East Ocean Chinese). One thing I’d recommend to the owners is to have, or least offer, Thai sauces available with the food. For some reason, a lot of restaurants make you ask(especially annoying at a Mexican restaurant) and don’t just provide them as standard. I’ll come back and try their curries and specials, and hope to bump this score up.

Stopped in here this past Saturday for dinner as we were frequent visitors to their Bristow location. After about a 30 minute wait we were seated. We shared our favorite appetizer: curry puffs and for dinner we had the red curry, drunken noodles and satay. Everything was very good but not too spicy(actually not spicy enough for my tastes). Service was prompt and friendly. The décor is very modern. Hopefully they’ll take over the empty unit next door and expand as they should have the volume to support a larger restaurant. One word of caution: they don’t yet have an ABC license. We’ll definitely return!

Excited to have a Thai place close to home! This place is quite small. There is not much seating in there which I could see easily being a problem on a busy night. Luckily it was not busy for us on a Tuesday at 6pm. The servers were all very nice and friendly. They did a pretty good job of making sure our water glasses were topped off. I got the massaman curry with chicken, my favorite Thai dish. My husband got RP3 in the wok section. Both my husband and I thought the portions were a bit on the small side. Most Thai restaurants we have been to in the past have enormous portions, but this place was not the case. They gave TINY little scoops of rice. It was kind of pathetic. But the food was really yummy and the flavors were amazing. And for the two of us(no drinks just water) it was $ 23 so not too bad at all. Despite the small portions and the stingy rationing of rice, this place was really yummy and I know we will come back! Certainly worth checking out if you are a Thai fan.
