My whole family have been the loyal customers of Allied Carpet for almost 30 years. That alone should tell you how highly we regard their service & professionalism. Over the years, they have done at least a dozen or more jobs for us. Their price is always good and the installation is always prompt & very professional. Only once, did we ever find a flaw after the installation. We called Shaheen, he came over himself to look at the problem and had it corrected immediately. We would never go anywhere else.

Allied Carpet in Hawthorne deals with selling remnants, so technically you are supposed to have a great deal of savings. I recently went there with my landlord to pick out new vinyl flooring and carpeting for our apartment. The service in the store was a little too pushy for my taste. They were trying very hard to force certain carpets on us that we didn’t want. We finally made our decision on a high quality carpet and left. On the day of installation a woman and a young man arrived to install the bedroom carpet and kitchen vinyl. The bedroom installation was quick and well done(except they would have been happy not to have vacuumed it unless we asked them too). The kitchen was another story. The final product was lumpy and they didn’t take the time to remove the oven and secure flooring under it. Instead they just put enough flooring under the front so that when standing and looking at it, it looked finished. I also had them install carpeting in my 2nd floor hallway. This is where things got me mad. Prior to them arriving we had all the baseboards and stairwell spindles repainted. The same woman and another young man returned to install this carpet. If it was my own house and not a rental I would have been having a fit. The carpet was cut incorrectly in the hallway leaving a gap along side the carpet and the baseboard(I am waiting as I type for them to arrive and repair it — they are over an hour late) The carpet that was installed around the base of the spindles is a crazy staple job AND they knocked off a lot of the fresh paint on the spindles!(note: they never once told me that they did this, they just left as soon as they were finished… now I have to repair it myself!) The carpet on the stairs looks good in dim lighting but upon closer examination it is cut sloppy and stapled all over! Ugh! They also managed to some how get black marks on my walls while installing carpet! ??? Maddening! They also entered a bedroom that had the door closed and placed their stuff on my white duvet which left black dirt all over it. Ahh! All I can say for Allied Carpet is that they are rude, rude, rude! Even when they arrived at my house they hardly acknowledge me or cared to make conversation, all they want is to get in and out with a check in their hand. When it came to them removing the old carpet it was a fight as well. The landlord paid for the removal of the old carpet but when the job was done they left it in the front yard and some in the back yard. We had to call them back both times to have someone come take it away. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere! I think next time around I will try Einstein Moomjy!
