The parts of this place which are good are very, very good. The parts which are bad are few, but potentially off – putting. A very charming little grass shack as cute as a button if you’re a bit rough and tumble, and believe you me, as trans-Euro train backpackers, we are. However, the water in the kitchen doesn’t get hot, so ya couldn’t wash your dishes properly. The screen door to the outside had large tears in it, so it’s mosquito central in the room. Seemed like the place hadn’t had a good cleaning in a long, long time. I would guess the affable hostess simply has let the place go. Having said that, the whales are right outside your door, the décor is charming, the location excellent, and the«guard dogs» wouldn’t harm a flea. This is the kind of place that would be just fine for a night or two as you meander by train through Hungary(What!!! You didn’t know there were grass shacks with Humpback whales right outside your door in Hungary!!!). But the place is a little run down, buggy and Gecko-y if you’re spending a week. Oh, and the shower? It’s outside so ya get to shower in the nude outdoors. Wanna see my photos? Ask nicely. First 250 requests also get to see the Hungarian Humpbacks.
