Very wonderful all around. Such complex flavors and a great fission of Asian cultures. We had the Angel Eggplant with beef and I say it was the best Eggplant dish I’ve ever had. We also had the Showering Rama as a normal dish for us, and the peanut sauce was terrific! I’m so sad, that I didn’t get this posted because they are no long in business.

It was actually my new favorite thai place. Everything was really nice, despite its higher than average price, probably due to the actual restaurant being in a mall. Unfortunately, when I went to the mall last week, I have found out that this place was closed. No matter how much I rave about it now, it’s too late. Time to find a new Thai place… again!

Didn’t try any food… We waited for 10 minutes after being seated. We were never helped by anyone and not even given water. Not going to try this place again until I see some better reviews. Oh and there was a dirty fish tank in the entrance, that was very out of place

I’ve dined here several times and have always left happy. Thai food is pretty much my favorite genre of food and Racha executes it well. In addition, the service is always impeccable. The owner has been here every single time also, actively involved with the service etc., which to me shows dedication to his business. On to the food: I can’t recall ever ordering anything here that wasn’t great. On my most recent visit, my favorite dish had to be the Panang Curry, which I had never tried before. Per the menu suggestion, we ordered it with chicken, and it was perfection. So flavorful, and with a little spice. I always get the Showering Rama, due to my peanut sauce obsession. The dish consists of your choice of meat served on a bed of spinach, doused in peanut sauce. So delicious. I’m sure my peanut sauce obsession identifies me as a total noob when it comes to Thai food but I don’t care, i love it. Their version is good too, very flavorful and lots of peanut chunks. The fried rice was a standout too, loved that it included snow peas. I appreciate that there is also a full bar, with extremely tasty and reasonably-priced specialty cocktails. Each time I go back here, this place is a little busier. I sure hope this trend continues, because Racha deserves it!

Do not eat here. I have eaten here several times since it opened. Each time it has gone further down that slippery slop of apathy. The final straw was today. I ordered the crab rangoon(they call it crap and shrimp wrap, and the chicken satay. The crab was good. The satay was good… if you like your chicken RAW! i had taken a couple of bites before i noticed. YUCK! I just pray that i dont get sick.

I can’t believe I had not reviewed them before. I thought for sure I was coming here to give an update review. I am glad to see I didn’t have to do all that. It hasn’t been that long since I was in here last, maybe 6 months, at the most. We went in here last week and I was excited to order my usual coconut shrimp. It used to come in a bento style lunch. It seems they have changed it up and not really for the best. My son asked the waitress if he could get a salad instead of the rice and she acted like he asked for glowing space rocks. She said they did not have salads there. He said that was fine but he still didn’t want rice. They brought out a piece of lettuce on the plate with a little dressing. The bento box style is gone, and the food had changed. I have never left food on the plate here, ever, this time we both walked out with more than half on the plate. Something has gone terribly terribly a-rye here in the kitchen and it has made me sad now.

The food was pretty good, but the service was a bit discombobulated. It didn’t seem coordinated. We had different servers coming to check on us or ask us the same question(one of them was even the owner). The owner seems really nice, but he pulled one of the server no-nos: interrupted us while we were clearly having a conversation. Wait for an opening, dude! Anyway, the curries are pretty flavorful and their mixed drinks are large. Don’t go here expecting anything amazing, but it’s a good stop for a «dinner and a movie» evening in the Clackamas Town Center area.

My husband and I live very close to this place, so we eat here frequently. But its not just the convenience that keeps us coming back, its the awesome customer service and the delicious food. I haven’t tried a single dish that didn’t taste great. The pud thai and golden cashew dishes are my favorite though. Also, the owner is there a lot and he is really cool. Always comes over and asks how we’re doing. He even remembered our names after meeting us only one time prior. Its a comfortable setting and if you’re in the mood for shopping or seeing a movie after you eat, all you have to do is walk out the door because its connected to the Clackamas Town Center mall.

Tried this place out on a weekend. It wasn’t bad at all. I’m always a little leary about pictures of food in the menu. Some places have pictures of items your not sure what it really is or it comes out different. Some of the pictures in there, well one at least didn’t look good at all. We ordered the Catfish with the coconut curry, green bean chicken thai dish something, and a noodle dish that wasn’t pad thai. The food I thought was great. It was seasoned well and tasted pretty good. The Catfish was different from what the picture on the menu showed, it wasn’t lightly deep fried but it still tasted good. The portions were pretty good for what you pay for. One dish can be a meal in itself, unless your really hungry. Likely we’ll be back in the future. Good location. It was a little warm in the restaurant, I think the AC might have been down or something. Parking isn’t a problem.

Great service Friendly staff Good food Beautiful interior Pretty food I went to Racha Thai with my girlfriend & her kid a while ago. Although, we saw 3 stars on Unilocal(but when I really read all the reviews, at least 3 reviews seem like those fake profiles). So we had lunch there anyway, it was GOOD!!! They made all the dishes look so cute, fun & tasty! I went back there a few days ago, the owner was there at the restaurant. He was so funny, welcoming, warm, & kind. I know he was busy but he took time to talk to us(I think it shows a lot, in my book). I say, give this place a chance & create your own experience.

This place is a wannabe Thai Restaurant. Yellow Curry is supposed to be thick and creamy and it’s supposed to have a rich curry taste which I didn’t get here. What I got was a spicy watery something that had rotten potatoes in it and way too many onions. The rice was dry and seemed old. If you’re looking for a good Thai dish, eat at any other place just bot here. Oh and the staff is completely incompetent of bringing you what you ordered. So stay away. People who do like this place have probably never had good and properly cooked Thai food!!!

I’ve been here twice. Only had the panang curry with chicken. The sauce itself is good. In fact, whenever I’m in the theater next door I can smell the sauce and it makes me hungry, which is quite the distraction. My only complaint is that the only veggie that comes in the panang curry is bell peppers. Not being a bell pepper fan, when I order it without, it ONLY has chicken. It should have TONS of other veggies with the chicken, then it would be perfect.

conveniently walk next to food court after long shopping, some thai food is always better than anything else. their best by far i had tried is the mango sticky rice, panang curry and angel eggplant, it is all good. no complaint there. so why the three stars? 1)crab puff is horrible, so stay away from it . 2)service can be off some time. they seems always short handed… even the place ain’t pack 3)in such a nice restaurant setting, their glass has white stain all over … it might be just the water stain but still that makes me lose my appetite.

Went for dinner at this place after a whole day of shopping at the Clackamas Town center. Didn’t feel like having fast food at the food court so went in here for some good Thai food. Little did we know that we were in for a pretty unpleasant surprise! The wait was a full 35min although the restaurant was more than half empty, the service was bad, the food was horrible. There were empty tables all around with dirty dishes lying on the table. There was just 1 waitress in the whole restaurant and 1 other guy — don;t know what he was supposed to be doing. It was a sunday night around 7pm — not even close to closing time! The place kind of had a stinky odor I guess because of all the dirty dishes on the tables around us. We ordered some Indonesian chicken dish — was just yellow watery soup. The waitress dumped the food on the table and disappeared and didnt come back out till a good half hour. We wanted to order some drinks but our dinner was almost over by the time we got our drinks needless to mention the drinks were a waste of money as well. And btw the dirty dishes were still there on the tables around us even when we were leaving. Never have I come across such a resturant where they dont clean up after people leave! Other reviews mentioned that their lunch is good — maybe their lunch is so good that they dont need any more business for dinner. I dont care and I definitely don’t want to find out. My advice — have the fast food at the food court if you have to eat at the mall. Avoid this restaurant.

Let me Preface by saying I love Thai food. In 2009, I even went to Thailand(no, not just for the food!) and had the most amazing Pud Thai(same concept but still different). I’ve been to Racha a lot since I’ve moved to Happy Valley(for take out and dine in) and I have absolutely no complaints. I’ve had Thai food at other restaurants in the neighborhood and I still prefer Racha. One of my favorite parts about going into to Racha after dealing with the mall crowds or running my errands for the day – it’s always so peaceful inside! Also, the prices are pretty average in my opinion. 1-$ 2 more shouldn’t matter when you’re going out to eat anyway

Pro: It’s conveniently located in Town Center, and is much better than the food court fare. But that isn’t really saying much. Con: Expensive. Especially when there are so many good Thai places to choose from in Portland. Pro: Pretty good food, even if it is Americanized Thai. Con: Pretty good is not worth the cost of admission. Pro: Um, I didn’t leave hungry? Bottom line: It’s the P.F. Changs of Thai food. Expensive, Americanized, but still pretty tasty food combined with a nice dinning atmosphere.

I’ve been here for lunch, and I really like it. I would definitely classify it above mall-food, although it’s still reasonably priced. I like that they have lunch combos with half pad Thai, half curry. And everything comes with the soup of the day. Last time I went it was a chicken and rice, lightly flavored with cilantro. It’s locally owned and beautifully decorated inside.

Okay, I went in with a skeptical attitude. It’s a mall thai food place. I expected overpriced, mediocre food. Before we even walked in the door, we said aloud, «If they charge more than $ 9 for pad thai, we’re going somewhere else.» A quick survey of the menu outside the place yielded the price: $ 9.95. But we also saw that Wednesday(maybe other days too) is Happy Hour all day. ALLDAY. And we were actually kind of hungry from wandering around. So we decided to at least sit at the bar and see if pad thai was discounted. At the bar, drinks weren’t particularly discounted(wells were $ 3, micros on tap were $ 3.75, [micro?] bottles were $ 2.75). Here’s what we ordered: chicken satay($ 2.95, regularly $ 4.95), Thai chicken wings($ 3.95 for about 5, I think?), two pad thais(chicken, $ 9.95), a Fat Tire, a Mac N Jack(MAC N JACKONTAP!) annnnnd that was about it. It was pretty reasonable. The pad thai portion was GINORMOUS. Biggest thai portions I’ve ever seen. Any skepticism I had melted when I tasted the food. VIsually appealing. HUGE chunks of chicken. Not a lot of egg. Not a lot of peanuts(which I love), I asked for(more?) lime and was freely given lots of lime. The bean sprouts were cooked which I thought was weird but interesting. I like more peanut. But overall, their pad thai was delicious.(Oh and they call it «pud thai» there.) The peanut sauce with the chicken satay was good(I don’t know enough about thai food to say if it tasted«authentic»), it was the best I’d had. The cucumbers in vinagrette served with the satay were okay but tasted like sweet pickles to me(which I hate). So overall: no real complaints. I mean, am I going to go out of my way to go eat Thai at CTC? No. But if I’m there, I sure as hell would stop it for the largest pad thai portions ever. And happy hour fare was cheap, delicious and fast.

Run, don’t walk, but actively run… in any direction away from this terrible, terrible place. Perhaps the dinner service is decent, but lunch is a festival of barely-heated vegetables, overcooked rice noodles, and, in my most recent experience, tofu that had been transferred from refrigeration directly into curry. Cold in the center. Forget rating this on a «Thai food» scale. Forget rating this on a «restaurant» scale. What is served here is gas station cuisine, at best. This restaurant shows no care in the quality of the dishes coming out of the kitchen — at least for lunch. There are much, much better places to try within a few minutes of Racha. Shameful.

I can not recommend this place enough! I went opening weekend and was very impressed with the décor, the service and of course the food! The menus are beautifully designed with pictures of the food with good descriptions. They even have a section about the owner, Sprite, and the chefs that includes photos and their history and experience. What is really impressive is that Sprite, even as the owner, he still works the floor, seats you, takes your order and serves the food as well. He is always there when my husband and I go and we go so much that he recognizes us every time. I have tried all the curries, the pad thai, crying tiger salad, garlic delight chicken and the showering rama. I loved them all but I am still a huge fan of the panang curry and pad thai. They are a little more spendy than your average mom and pop thai restaurant but it is worth it for the overall experience. Besides, if you sign up for their rewards program, you reap incredible benefits. It seems like every time we go, we get a $ 10 reward to go again so we go again and get another reward… an endless loop of delicious!
