Thai Dok Khem

I’d been to the Boba Tea place right next door to this food car a number of times. Each time it seemed like the Thai food cart next door was closed, but I kept being drawn to their menu. Well this time it was open so I thought I’d try it. Wow, now I wish I had done this sooner. Granted I only tried a couple of items, but my first impression was very good. I had the Salt & Pepper wings and the Chicken Satay the other day and was very impressed. The wings were HUGE, crispy and full of flavor. The Chicken Satay was also very good, and might have been the best satay I’ve ever tasted. The peanut sauce was home made and really tasty. The young woman working this day was so nice and attentive. She made sure I was ordering the right item, asked me how I’d like it packaged, etc. I always pay close attention to the employees, since they can make or break a food cart, and I was very impressed with this place.
I’m reserving the right add/​change my review once I try some other items off their menu, but I will go back there and when I try them, I’ll let you know. I’m very optimistic that they will keep up the quality and I’ll become a regular.

One of the best food carts around. Really friendly and generous portions. The food is delicious and fresh. Personal fav is their pad kee mao (drunken noodles).

It was night time. I had only eaten a bowl of oatmeal the entire day and drunken noodles satisfied my hunger and exceeded my expectations with its flavor and quality!

Absolutely yummy! I was searching for the best reviewed Thai restaurants near our home in Happy Valley and this place stood out. There are many other Thai places closer to us, but I chose this place based on the reviews. It did not disappoint!!! The hubby and I both got Chicken Pad Thai, but we could have easily split one. The portions were huge! I find that many other Thai restaurants lack flavor with their Pad Thai. This place got it spot on. We also had the fresh roll (salad roll) and the spring rolls. Both had very fresh ingredients and great flavor. This will now be my go to place even if I have to drive a bit further.

I LOVE this food cart. I have tried every Thai restaurant in Portland and there are only a couple that compare to how good this one is!!! Also the owners are so nice and friendly! They always have a smile on there face which I can always say makes me want to come back more to any place that has great customer service+great food. Thank you for being so amazing and tasty I will be your customer for life:)

Have you ever tasted heven? Yes, then you must have already eaten here. This is the BEST food truck in Portland, OR period. We had fried rice, chicken wings and shrimp rolls that were beyond fresh and fantastic. The rice was fluffy and sweet not dry, but full of flavor. The shrimp must have been caught earlier that day, they were big and juicy. And those wings… my God. I actually fought a child for the last one. My advice is not to share any of it. Order one of everything and keep it to yourself.

I decided to check out this cart due to the pictures and how clean the cart looked. I was not disappointed. Everything is prepared fresh for you, how it should be. So if you’re in a hurry, expect a short wait. I spoke to a very friendly middle age lady who I assume is the owner. We chatted for about five minutes. I ordered the salt and pepper wings and curry fried rice. I highly recommend both. The servings are huge! I’d say the fried rice is at least two meals, great value for $ 8.00. Will certainly be back soon.

This place is delicious! I just went recently because I was recommended by a friend. I tried their salt and pepper wings and chicken pad Thai. The salt and pepper wings are so tasty and fried perfectly. It also comes with this yummy spicy dipping sauce! The pad Thai comes in a large portion! You really get your money’s worth here! Their food is a little on the spicier side so if you can’t handle spicy, I recommend going down on the spice level for your first try. I definitely recommend giving this cart a try if you like Thai food!

I’ve had the Pad Thai, the Red Curry, and the Panang Curry on separate occasions, and they’ve all been amazing, they all filled my belly to pants-​bursting levels, and I never spent more than 8 bucks. Pretty. Freakin. Sweet.

Great food and service! I got the salt and pepper chicken wings and there amazing! I’m addicted! The sweet and spicy wings were okay.

Kind service, large portions, open late at night. What more could you want? We got the Lard Na Tofu and the Pad Thai Tofu and both were cooked well — the Lard Na was actually good, and considering my mom is Thai, I’m pretty picky. The Pad Thai was pretty good, in my opinion it needed more lime, but I like the tangy taste more than others.
Overall, a solidly good food truck! Will be back.

I just took my partner here for his second time eating Thai food, first time here and he said it was so good he was dying :-)… and went to heaven… Funny

Awesome awesome awesome. I love there pepper chicken. Clean friendly and AMAZING I highly recommend this place especially if you go to roccos to have a drink you can order some yummy food and they will bring it to you if your at roccos bar. All In the same parking lot.
