Best Spot in Hampton Let’s be honest, Hampton Beach is a tourist beach spot with your typical strip of shops and places to eat. What’s comes with this is the usual greasy low quality food spots and side stands to eat. Then off of L Street is Millie’s. A nice bar with plenty of seats to eat dinner with a good menu. I think it is by far the best option to eat in Hampton. You can also eat outdoors to enjoy the weather. The bar specializes in a bunch of punch style drinks to warm you up. The menu has your America fare, burgers, sandwiches, fried apps. The app we really enjoyed were the buffalo rangoons. They do have larger meals as well with seafood, steaks, and ribs. We went a couple with a large group of people and they enjoyed all of the items that they ordered. For all of the poor eating options in Hampton, Millie’s really shines. Thanks

This is a fun, safe, friendly biker bar. The food is surprisingly good. I had the Haddock Reuben with onion rings. Of course it was fried, but the food wasn’t greasy, it was delicious. Serving sizes are generous, so I wasn’t able to eat the whole thing. Perfect place to eat before and after going to a concert up the road. Great beer selection too. If you come in expecting a bar with bar food, you’ll leave very pleased, it’s perfect.

Had a clam chowder, crab cakes and a lobster quesadilla. The food was good and the beer was refreshing. The service is on the slower side. They also have some tables outside, but we chose to sit at the bar. We didn’t like that the two of the three TVs had a program on showing graphic and violent content.

Great food. Waitress didn’t have much personality but the food came out hot and the beer was cold.

We stopped by to get out of traffic and had a couple of appetizers and drinks. The service was fast and attentive considering the place was jammed and only 2 waitresses were working. The clam plate was good, could have had a few more large clams they were pretty small with maybe 4 – 5 large thrown in, the fries were great, and the beer was cold. Potato skins were average. The tartar sauce was very bland and basically was just mayo with a few pickle bits, had the sauce been better I probably would have enjoyed the clam plate more.

Stopped in here today while out for our first motorcycle ride of the season — what a great find! Very friendly staff, and really good food for reasonable prices. The onion rings were incredible — skinny and crisp. Lots of locals which is always a good sign in my opinion and everyone made you feel welcome. Very clean and the bathroom was spotless. We will definitely be back!

warning, do not bring your kids. too many drunks, the food was bland, this should be considered a bicker bar and not an eating establishment. oh yes, I spent 96 bucks on two meals and two kids meals no drinks. what a rip off. my 11 and 14 year old said that they saw a place like this on TV… it was called jerry Springer.

Decided to go here because it got great reviews and appeared a bit cheaper than other dine-in places at Hampton. Sadly, the food was probably much worse than the many take-out fast food places along the strip. All of the food was incredibly greasy and nothing tasted fresh. Started with the stuffed fried dough with buffalo chicken(we were expecting this to be greasy, but it literally came out with puddles of grease on it). Neither of us were expecting the chicken to be breaded chicken tenders. The grease cooked through the dough and made the tenders incredibly soggy. The chicken and the dough completely fell apart and were essentially two separate apps. For our meals we got the chicken, bacon, ranch wrap and the steak bomb sub. The wrap was OK. The chicken tasted like canned chicken and the lettuce was simple iceberg lettuce. The bacon in this wrap was the only thing great about it. The steak bomb sub was not well described on the menu and came out full of mushrooms, which wouldn’t normally be expected in a steak bomb and really ruined the sub(and onions/peppers, but the mushrooms were the only problem). The fries that came with both were very soggy. Ordered a Shocktop, which wasn’t served with an orange, and a Redd’s Strawberry Ale which was served over ice. Our service also wasn’t very great. People were very friendly, but they were very slow — bringing out the food, taking the check, and really just the whole night. We will not be returning!

I love this place. Great energetic vibe, friendly staff, and good prices. The food is surprisingly good. Steak tips, arrancini, ribs, lobster, steamers and burgers are always perfectly cooked, though sometimes there is a bit of a wait when the kitchen gets backed up. But it’s worth it. My only disappointment is there’s no Guinness or Stella on draft.

Great locals hangout. Hit-or-miss Food. Great staff. Not kid-friendly at all(IMHO). My family and I stopped in Hampton Beach on our drive back from Maine looking for a bite to eat. I was looking for a good clam roll, and after reading other Unilocal reviews we decided to stop at Millie’s for dinner on a Sunday night. We were expecting to find a restaurant, but the place is a bar, no ifs ands or buts about it. I can see why people like this place as a great hangout, someplace to have a few drinks, maybe a decent bite to eat. Unfortunately we were there on a night when a few patrons were well past their limit on alcohol. One woman broke into a lottery machine right behind our booth because she thought the machine had stolen her money. She wound up on the floor more than a few times, and the bartender and another man had to stop her from falling backward on her stool. All of this was upsetting to my kid. At no point did the staff do anything to alleviate the situation. This makes me assume that she was a local, probably a regular, and her behavior was tolerated because of it. After ordering, the bartender came back out of the kitchen to let me know that they were out of clams — the very thing I came in for. What seaside restaurant runs out of clams? The fish sandwich I ordered in its place was ok. My chowder was decent. My wife’s dinner was fine, but the chicken in my kid’s pasta was tough as leather. The one thing that made the experience tolerable was the cheerful and attentive bartender who was single-handedly running the place that night. If you’re an adult, looking for a great hangout to drink, get drunk, and eat something, this is a great place. Otherwise, leave the kids at home and don’t set your expectations too high.

Really good and cheapie cocktails, and a fun and friendly atmosphere. Didn’t get a chance to try the food, but really enjoyed spending some time here on a cold evening.

I am visiting from LA. It was my first time that I had dip lobster in butter and ate a lobster out of the shell. Usually, I do this for crab or eat lobster stir fried in various ways. The prices are so good,$ 16 for twin lobsters, and I heard there were cheaper spots down the street. It had me craving for it the next day. I will always remember this experience and savor the lobsters I had. I never had 4 lobsters in a single night. I went to karaōke the same night and had another 2 lobsters. I do not think you can go wrong getting lobsters anywhere around here. I hardly give 5 stars, but I will dream about coming back to Hampton Inn beach for lobsters.

I love this place, I grew up going to L-street so I do miss the old place but Millie’s is a great replacement. It’s a clean dive, the menu has a great variety and I’ve never been disappointed with anything I order. Everyone that works there is super nice and the poutine is super delicious.

Good value, clean, friendly. The Arancini(rice balls) are excellent. I like this place. Formerly was L Street Tavern. Menu, décor and cook upgrades are excellent! Very friendly. Steak tips and most all specials are very good and superb value. Help staff is excellent; funny, kind, creative.
