I really like this place. Friendly service. Both times I have gotten food from here it has been excellent. As others have noted, there is a very solid craft beer selection. It is a great store to have close by.

I live near this place, I go their all the time. Friendly people, great service, Delicious food! The beer selection is the best around. The cranberry walnut chicken salad is Amazing.
My only complaint, is that sometimes the subs isn’t made right, like there randomly put together. I’m guessing its the new part-​time workers. Either way it’s a good place for takeout or random convenient items.

Was given a hard time about my ID by the clerk here. Understandable because I have alopecia and look a bit different than my drivers license. Even after telling clerk of my disease, clerk still gave me a hard time and even after taking my money made snide comments. Have been coming here for years as the beer selection is good, but don’t think I’ll be coming back. I can find my favorite beers elsewhere and avoid the douchebaggery.

This place is awesome. Ron, the new owner, is very friendly and knowledgeable about craft beers and loves to help his customers pick out something new. I go to the Village Market for the extensive beer selection, friendly atmosphere and to support local business. I think they do Friday night beer and wine tastings, too. Not sure if they’re every Friday but the one I went to was a lot of fun!

When in last night and met the new owner, I think his name is Ron. Sounds like he has some great ideas, and is looking to build on how great HFVM is already.
To start, I commute to work in Boston, and by the time I get to the bus terminal, its already 7. I started driving, and then realizing it was 7, called. Ron said he was just getting ready to close up shop, but would stay a few minutes until I got there. Not only did he stay for me to get there, make my decisions (which took awhile since there’s so many great choices), but also talked about some of the new things he’s going to do, like trying to setup a home brewers day.
Now to what you care about. You go here for the service (see above) and the selection. This place has it on pair with all the great in NH, but you have to love the mix a 6, I know I do. Plus, since it is a general store, you can grab some grub to go along with your beverages as well! Plus a couple good bottles of wine.

Haverhill, MA
This is the place to go for brews in this area. They have a fine selection of singles, bombers, cases, and packs of many selections. The guys who work there are nice and very knowledgeable about their selections. You can stand around and talk brew with them all day long.
The pricing is fair– not too expensive, but not a super deal either. When we take the trek this way, we stop in for a nice bomber or two to try at home.
