I almost always make the point of stopping here when I am driving back to Maine from the great Bay Colony. The selection is hugely better than the equivalent just up a few miles north, in Portsmouth. I come here to shop for wine, so I cannot say much about the hard stuff, though it seems pretty thorough too. For example, this is one of the few places I know of to pick up a bottle of Bauchant, the cognac-based orange liqueur that is WAY better, and WAY cheaper, than Grand Marnier. For wines, this place is strong on West Coast Reds and Whites, French Reds and Whites, medium on Italian and Southern Reds, and weak on just about everything else. I wish that I could find a better selection of German, Austrian, and East Coast whites, but I fear we have to just wait until they finally become trendy before they appear in shops in southern NH. Or I just go down to Boston…

I love this liquor store. My bf and I always stop here on our way back from NH. The store is huge with every type of liquor you can imagine(everything except beer). The prices are awesome, so much cheaper then here in RI. I always like to grab a bottle of patron because its a great deal. There are port o johns on the side of the building which is convenient if you have to use the bathroom and don’t want to wait in the somewhat long lines inside the rest stop. I highly recommend stopping in here if your in the area.

Cheap cheap cheap! Some more than the others! As long as you know what you are looking for… My principle when it comes to the NH State Liquor stores is pretty simple: Anytime I cross the border up north of MA into the beautiful state of NH or on the way to Maine,(which happens approx 2 or 3 times a year — max), I make it a point to stop here and stock on my Vodka of choice — Absolut. And some other goodies for sure :) You can not beat the deals you get on most Vodka and other hard liquors here. Really, I cannot go on about the kind of savings especially if you know you are going this way and have the option to just stop on your way back home. What I also like about the state liquor store is that along with the fab discounts you get, you also come across some really good new brands more often than not. For example I was first introduced to the Hibiscus flavored Absolut here last year on my way camping to the white mountains. Earlier this year I was looking for the same in some local liquor stores around here and I couldn’t find the bottle. A month ago while coming back from Wells, ME I stopped here again and found the Hibiscus very much in stock. Picked 2 bottles. Finally, I find the way all the sections are organized — wines are on one side, then the more hard liquors — scotch, whiskey, bourbon, rums, then comes the turn for the other less harder ones — tequilas, gins and vodkas. Anyone who has been to these stores knows that they DONOT carry Beer! This is just FYI. Again, it is always best to compare the discounted prices of what you are looking for with the ones that you get locally around it. It is easily worth the pit stop. PS: Please drink responsibly. And NEVER drink and drive. NONONO.

There’s lots to choose from here but I don’t get it. I don’t see that the prices on wine or liquor is that differ et than what I am paying in CT. I’ve stopped here a cop joke times in my way to or from Maine and I just don’t get the lure. I’ve priced wines and Grey Goose and Don Julio and haven’t run into anything g worth stocking up on.

Hot damn is the selection good! Nope, don’t ask the staff for advice, since most aren’t exactly trained. But you know you are here to get some cheaper booze, so do your research at home. Want advice? Go to your local Blanchards, Kappy’s, or Julios you m@$$holes :-)

I walked with a handle of Tito’s for a penny under $ 23. A litre and a half of Austin’s finest clear spirit, ripe for infusin’ or whatever you’re usin’ your booze in, for less than a 750 at even the shadiest of Mass packies. Convenient off the highway, all product pulled to the front of the line with meticulous inventorial skill and there’s a metric gaggle of nips for $ 2 and under. FIREBALLSHOTSFORALL! Just put it on my tab. Live free or die.

Inevitably, after a weekend of camping or snowboarding in Maine or New Hampshire, I stop off at this State of NH booze shop for inexpensive provisions. $ 20 bottle of Buffalo Trace bourbon? Please and thank you. The prices of the wine seem to be on par with any other store, but they give discounts when you buy bottles by the case. Being a whisk[e]y drinker, I cannot speak for other liquor pricing, but bourbon is insanely cheap, and scotch is randomly expensive in comparison to my usual digs. Basically, stop by this place every time you pass it. You will be pleased and then broke.

Inexpensive and efficient liquor sales. I wish the government did all things so well.
