Hmmm… racism still exists. I never had a colder disheartening experience in my life. The receptionist was disgusted to see an Asian and an African American enter the store. This place just lost my business. We walked out.

This small art gallery is packed with the unique work of many local artists. Most of the collection seemed to be infused with character and color. One wall when I visited even had wall-mounted 3D artwork, with a strong tactile dimension and ‘found-art’ character. The artwork seemed to be primarily paintings, but in unique styles and designs. The lady I interacted with was extremely friendly and patient. One note of ‘caution’(used only in the most non-threatening meaning of the word«caution»): they’ll show you any painting you’re interested in on a blank wall in a small room in which they can dim and brighten the lights to show you how the painting will look in different lighting situations. This allows you to see how the piece that caught your eye changes with the light and to best picture how it would look in your home. In my case, it was a successful tactic! :-) I’m extremely happy with my purchase, but I might not have made it – I might have been able to talk myself out of it – without easily picturing it on my wall in this way.
