This place is perfect! I ordered the Pad Thai Tom Yum Kai BBQ Chicken! The food was SO good, you have to come try it out for yourself! Gary was our server and he was amazing. He was very nice, helpful with his recommendations of the menu, and very attentive! You could tell he was a hard worker! The other workers were just okay and awkward but I’m not gonna get into that. I would come again and recommend this place to others because of the great service that I experienced and delicious food!

I’ve had the shrimp pad Thai, basil chicken, eggplant lover with chicken, mango sticky rice, and the yellow curry with chicken. The eggplant lover was my least favorite. The rest were good not the best I’ve had but good.

This place is not just delicious, the customer service is exceptional. We came here at 9:20 and they close at 10pm, but the waiter greeted us with the biggest smile and he was beyond courteous and attentive. We love Thai seafood soup and are always weary of trying a new one but this one was absolutely delicious! The pad Thai was great and the fried rice was also delicious. I am definitely making the drive to come eat here again!

+1 for the chicken satay. What’s thai food without chicken satay right. Love the peanut sauce. Always wish they gave more. Other than that, i’m not much of a thai food connoisseur. I got the chicken thigh bento for lunch once. May not look much(ok it looked a lot) but it fills you up. One of those simple dishes you shouldn’t overlook. Chicken thigh was HUGE and marinated well. Tons of flavor. Give me a chicken leg/thigh and white rice and i’m a happy gal. Thai iced tea was a little watered down but i like things to not be too sweet so i was ok with it. Overall, a decent thai restaurant in the SGV. Not many around.

Growing up in HH, Thai Specialty 2 was one of the spots my parents used to take me to eat as a kid. I left for college, came back years later, found out it changed ownership last year, and I have to say. the food is simply AMAZING. Here’s what to order: * If you’re craving soup, Tom Kha Khai * Green Papaya Salad * Pad See Eiw***(SO good) * Pad Thai * Pink Fish with chili sauce***(I always order this boneless fish and asked them to use the chili sauce instead. Hands down, my favorite dish ever. Truly reminds me of being back in Thailand) * Pineapple Curry***(love) * Mango Sticky Rice(currently in season!!!) Try one of my favorite dishes above and you’ll see what I mean. Enjoy!

I’m very critical when it comes to Thai food because being Thai I want to eat authentic Thai food. Let me tell you that this place hits the nail on the head. The food tastes as authentic as can be. I highly recommend this place. The staff is also very friendly as well. Don’t go to that other place down the street in Yes Plaza, that place fails. You will not be disappointed with this place. Get the larb chicken, my personal favorite Thai dish.

Must try #36. Rad Na with Chicken, highly recommended. Garlic spare rib is one of my favorite dish and its go well with some shrimp fried rice or sticky rice. Another dish we love it here is Spicy Catfish with Chili sauce, this perfect with steam jasmine rice. Stop by and enjoy Thai food here.

The wait time is about 1 hour for any meal, and they don’t give it at the same time. So you have to wait for everyone on the table to get there food. Very frustrating, food was OK

ATTENTION UnilocalERS! NEWOWNERSANDFOODISAUTHENTICANDPHENOMENAL! One of the best papaya salads in this side of town! 5 stars for the new chef/owners! Everything here was very authentic and sooooo good! The new owners shouldn’t have bought the franchise name because the previous owners cooked like Crap and they really should have opened the restaurant under a new name. The new owners are excellent cooks or whoever they hired is excellent. Very authentic and way better than banana Bay! Seriously I feel bad for the owners bc they don’t speak English too well and don’t realize that the previous restaurant owners had terrible reviews! Try this place out and you’ll fall in love like I did. Remember my mom makes the best authentic Thai food in the west coast so I grew up on not just Thai food– but the best Thai food you can get! The only thing they can do some work on is the service. Although all the waitresses are super nice they fail to visit your table often enough and you have to go to the counter to ask for something. Other than that come here for the food and you’ll forever say goodbye to Banana Bay!

I absolutely love this restaurant. I ordered«Rad Na» and papaya salad vegetarian style!!! It was so delicious and the flavor is authentic. Coconut ice cream is also a must. They also deliver. Wide variation on the menu, can’t wait to go back. It’s a mom and pops restaurant so the service is excellent!

Excellent everything! Visited this restaurant today during lunch. I called the order in ahead of time because we were on a limited lunch break. When we got there, the food was already on the table and still hot. The food was really good as well. We stuck to the basics(as our cell phones wouldn’t let us view the menu because we didn’t have adobe downloaded — the only downside) pad Thai, fried rice, pad see eiw. The wait staff was very nice and helpful. The server packed our leftovers to go for us and even thought to ask if the food was OK since we didn’t eat it all. We had leftovers because they serve a good portion(lunch special), which is definitely a plus. We will definitely be back soon.

I have mixed feelings about this place. From the outset, I noticed the prices are definitely higher than what I’m used to paying at my favorite places in West L.A. I’m also used to Thai places in Marina del Rey, Venice, and even Glendale giving free Thai iced teas with large orders($ 25+ or $ 40+ orders, etc.). I ended up spending $ 54 here which included $ 8 worth of Thai iced teas and Thai iced coffees. Once I got my food, I noticed the pad Thai and mee krob portions were also smaller than I’m used to. Raw bean sprouts took up a large portion of the cartons. Granted, the food was pretty good, especially the tom yum kai soup. Let’s just say, I noticed something of concern in one of the dishes, brought it to the attention of the restaurant via phone and later in person, and although some of the employees seemed very nice and accommodating to explain things and try to make things right/satisfactory, someone in the kitchen clearly didn’t sound so nice… Talk about awkward. I visit Tokyo Lobby next door pretty often and decided to try this restaurant after doing a Unilocal search since I’m out this way visiting quite often, but at this point, I have mixed feelings about returning…

I took my friend here to treat her for a birthday meal and I instantly regretted it after the first few minutes of getting there. The service was absolutely horrible. Right as we sat down, she already asked us what we wanted to order. We told her we just sat down and would like some time to look at the menu. She gave us the biggest stink face and pretty much decided to ignore us the entire time we were there. It was just us and another table and I watched the waitress purposefully ignore me as she provided service to the other table. How did I know she was ignoring us? She would look at us then walk away. Thanks a whole bunch, lady. The menu itself it very limited and I noticed that they didn’t offer a lot of items that other restaurants do. The entrees we ordered tasted bland, which is something Thai food should not be. If you want good quality Thai food in the area, look up Presidential Thai instead.

The food has always been absolutely delicious and fresh! The service can be a little slow(20−30mins) if there is a lot of people, but worth the wait.

I’ve been coming here for years. It is 1 of 2 Thai restaurants I like in the area that is close to my home here. Parking is relatively abundant for the most part. It is conveniently located close to the mall, grocery stores, just about everything. Today I’m meeting my friend and long time business partner. It’s been a few years and am excited to see him. We’ve eaten Thai food together for decades. I’m looking forward to eating here because the taste of Thai food varies from state to state as they use local ingredients in place of some of the more traditional ingredients normally used in Thai cuisine. Thom Kha Kai is one of those dishes. I’ve had this through out my travels in several states and it does not hit the spot like this one does. Using lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal and dried shrimp are the key spices to this delicious coconut base soup. Oh, and it’s very spicy. Although outside is pretty warm for this time of the year, and the ac is working well here, eat this first without breaking a sweat. I even have a second bowl because I love how everything comes together so well with the mushrooms and chicken. Another spicy dish I like is Thai Specialty Beef Salad. The tender marinated, warm, beef, with the cool salad tastes so good with their special sauce. Eating this again brings me back to the first time I had it when I found it to be a very savory, delicious dish. So glad to have it this way again. I introduced this dish to my friend years ago. Since then, it’s been his favorite and always orders it. The Pad See Eiw tends to be different from restaurant to restaurant no matter where I go. The base of it is flat noodles, eggs and broccoli. The broccoli is tenderly soft and sweet, with a slight crunch, cooked perfectly. The egg gives it the sauce the thickness and depth to bring out the spices used for the dish. It’s kind of a savory dish I order often. It’s not spicy but my friend enjoys eating it with the other dishes to counter the spicyness. I also get their Catfish Pad Ped. It’s one of my favorites. The tender, delicate meat of the catfish is like cream to the spicy seasoning used in this dish. My friend has never had this dish and is leery about catfish. You know, it’s a fish the lives at the bottom and eats whatever it can get. However squeemish he may have been, he still manages to eat a good portion. The service is good. My friend is thankful they fill the water frequently. I’m happy to see him, talk of old times, catch up with each other and other people we know. As I get ready to pay the bill, I tell the waitress my friend’s money is no good and to take the full payment from my card. She’s impressed with it, it’s my Hawaiian Airlines MC, and likes the color and design. I show her my driver’s license and is impressed with that too. Now we’re talking and telling stories of our travel. The food here is excellent along with the food but I was happier to see my friend. A good friend can make a good meal so much better, and that’s what happened here. I’ll be back on my next trip again if only to be with my good friend. Oh my, we were here for 3 hours!

Pretty good lunch menu pricing is very reasonable. I’ve been here 5 times. Lunch specials all come paired with a soup and fried wontons. I always have the pad thai it is some of the better pad thai i have had in the area, although one time it did have a hair in it. Service is good, restaurant is clean, A little diffucult to communicate with the waitresses at times. Bring cash there is a minimum charge of $ 10 for using a credit card.

3.5 stars Been here a few times for lunch. Tried the yellow curry watch out super spicy! The fried rice with shrimp they don’t give much shrimp. The chicken with mushroom sauce. Mostly had the lunch specials which are pretty good deals. Also depending on the dish they can give you a full cup with lots of meat or sometimes if it’s in the plate it’s not that much which makes me still hungry :(so the portions aren’t always consistent! But most of their dishes I have I love the flavor and it’s really good! Service is pretty good but when they have new people it can be slow! Also don’t forget min charge of $ 10 for using a credit card.
