Very rude dentist, he yells at his employees and is very aggressive with his costumers. I’ve been to many different dentists for my children and this is by far the worst. Stay away

Although I personally like Dr. Jimmy Shern, I have moved on to my family and my friends’ new dentist, Amy N. Tran; DDS located in Dos Lagos Dental in Corona, California. For those whom I recommended Dr. Shern, you know he is an excellent dentist. I let Dr. Shern go and I don’t feel bad in doing so.

Thank you, Dr. Jimmy Shern, for putting up with me for being a super bad orthodontist patient for 4 entire years(est. 1996 – 2000). I’m a bad patient because: 1. I eat popcorn and drink soda when I was clearly instructed not to, so as a result of my gluttony, I often find my bracket falling off 2. I never wear my rubber bands when instructed, for adjustment purpose 3. My overbite condition only improves by 0.1% every visit as a result of my failure to wear rubber bands 4. I don’t listen I had a horrible overbite prior to having racks of metal incrusted teeth, horrible to the point that you won’t even be able to see my bottom row of teeth since the upper row was completely covering it. Post-braces, you can see both rows, straight to perfection! Jimmy was actually my second orthodontist since I moved in 5th grade and had to find another orthodontist to continue torturing me to wear braces. He pretty much had to pick up the pieces from my last orthodontist and work with what was left, and he did a swell job. Prior to me getting braces, on top of the usual teeth x-ray, he also did an x-ray of my hand to scientifically measure how tall I will be when I’m older to work my teeth towards proportion. Although the report back in 1996(then I was in 6th grade) said I was going to grow to be 5’8″, but I turned out only to be 5’6″, so close enough. Jimmy is an ortho expert that is patient, gentle, and has lots of stories to tell, he even likes to fly helicopters on his fee time since he has a helicopter license. His dentistry is always kept very clean and spotless. If they gave health ratings for dentistry like they do for restaurant, I’d put an A on their dentistry door. After 8 years I am still a bad patient because I don’t wear my retainers. and I don’t think they even fit my teeth anymore. My retainers are lost somewhere, last time I saw them they were in my car. but I think they might have just decomposed somewhere from the lack of usage. Thanks Jimmy, for a boost of self-confidence, and thanks mom and dad, for spending extra money because I was a bad patient, and this whole braces thing would have been done faster had I listened and followed instructions … P. S. Great place to catch up on magazines while listening to KOST103.5 and MYFM(was KBIG back in my patient days) 104.3.
