Was looking forward to dessert tonight with my wife, and decided to go out for it. It was around 8:00 so not necessarily right at close… We got there… about 3 people inside… and quickly noticed there were only 5 flavors/a ton of empty slots. But they did have cookies and cream so figured still take a shot. The yogurt was semi runny/coming out melted. Still say… alright fine. Go over to the toppings and nearly every topping dish was empty. The selection was miserable. They had the traditional chocolate, caramel, strawberry syrup, but the sad part is I felt like I was at a birthday party in someone’s kitchen. Also, disappointing was the fact that this shop doesn’t have hot fudge/marshmallow toppings like many other similar yogurt in the wall places do. Am I a dessert snob? No… just would expect more from an operating business that should have a little bit more pride in what they do. They got my 10 bucks tonight, hopefully they’ll buy some toppings with it. Definitely not going back.

This place used to be great when it first opened. Tonight I tried it for my family and regret going. They only have like 6 flavors to choose from which were just ok. The worst part was the toppings. Can you say stale!!!

My fiancé and I were always here when the old owners were in charge. Since the ownership change a few months ago we have been disappointed every time(we tried it 3 more times). First, I had to help the woman working there work the register and print my receipt because she didn’t know how. The flavor selection has gone down so much, and the favors they DO have all blink the«low mix» light and are soupy. The second time I went back the toppings were all mixed with the neighboring ones, and the teen girl working there had no clue until I told her… Even then she didn’t seem to care. Tonight, my fiancé went 15 min before closing time and all the chairs were on the tables, the toppings were covered, and the girl working was hanging out with a guy I’m assuming was her boyfriend behind the counter. When he asked if the were open she gave a blank stare and said the machines are on. She gave him a small spoon and he had to use the same one for any topping he wanted. Hello cross contamination?! We don’t have allergies, but someone with nut allergies may not want to risk the disappointment. We will not be going back! To add to our disappointment the no longer accept the Groupons or certificates… AND all the points we accumulated from the previously running rewards program are now gone, they don’t do that program either. If a 0 star option was possible, that would be the option I selected.

This place has definitely gone downhill. All the good toppings are always out… and the toppings they do have are stale. The whole family used to love this place. Now, I doubt we’ll come back.

I use to come here a lot with my husband and i have noticed that the quality and the customer service has gone downhill dramatically. We decided to stop by on our way home the other night to find that we were only a burden to the employee that was playing on her computer with her boyfriend. There was no greeting only a mean glare from the boyfriend when we entered that looked like we disturbed them. We also found that only half the machines were working. There were only about 5 flavors that worked. You could also tell there was very little effort to keep the place clean, the garbage cans had yogurt all over the top and the machines were messy and none of the candies and fruit were stocked. We had to make a comment in order to get the attention of the associate and she was not happy and decided to move chairs and the couch before checking us out. She then was very rude when checking us out. There was one napkin that was used and my husband asked if there were anymore napkins, she proceeded to show us the used napkin and said right here. When he said there was only one and it was used she said nothing and just grabbed my card, finished the transaction and went back and sat down next to her boyfriend. You could tell that we were obviously a burden to her and her boyfriend so we just decided to leave and eat somewhere else. We watched 2 other couples walk in and have the same thing happen to them. As one couple walked out they commented how rude the associate was and how her boyfriend stared them down to the point where they were very uncomfortable and decided to just eat in their car. From a retail manager stand point I understand that there is not a lot to do there so playing on the computer would be acceptable only when all of your job duties are completed. You also don’t have your boyfriend hanging out at the place you work and then not even acknowledge customers when they are there. That is looks horrible on the company. Let’s just say I will be contacting management and we won’t be coming back there any time soon.

The machines are not kept up very well and there is no consistency on the yogurt. The nozzles that control the shape of the frozen yogurt are rarely attached. I’ve asked why a couple of times. One of the employees told me that it was because some of the yogurts were too dense for it, which sounds like a consistency problem to me. It shouldn’t matter which flavor I select, all of the dairy based frozen yogurts should have a similar texture and density.

Yogurt was good.(Some of the flavors were a little overpowering.) My biggest complaints are that the yogurt machines could be a little cleaner, the trash cans were filthy, and some of the toppings were dried out due to not being covered.

SOGOOD! Love their options, and they have way more toppings than I’ve ever seen. My husband even got a root beer float, who knew a froyo place had it? Definitely will be coming back!

I love Berry Simple! The frozen yogurt is excellent with many choices that change often. There are numerous toppings to choose from. You are able to try all the flavors before you choose, which is a must! The service has always been very friendly and helpful every time I’ve been there. It can get bust and crowded at times. They have a rewards program which is easy and you build points quickly!

I didn’t have the terrible experience that other reviewers seem to have had, but there was also nothing about my experience that made me excited to return in the future. The layout of the shop makes the entire froyo experience annoying if there’s a crowd. Because the line for the machines becomes the line for toppings, you can get stuck in a bottleneck, particularly as small children hem and haw over which candy they want. It would help if the toppings counter was two sided, which looks like it could remedied fairly easily with the removal of a piece of plexiglass. That same bottleneck also makes it difficult to get a sample cup, which are at the front counter rather than near the froyo machines. There seemed to be quite a few machines not working or just not stocked when we were there. I heard several people complain there was no chocolate option on tap; I’m indifferent as that’s sort of the risk you take when visiting a place that rotates flavors regularly.

We stopped at Berry Simple on our way back from Chicago. It is clean, friendly, and a great deal. There were more toppings than I could imagine, and the fro yo tastes great, too. Lots of flavors to choose from. They also have a few alternative things to try like fro yo floats and pies. Anybody going to Great America should stop here on their way out.

Stopped in the first time, months ago, to see if they had coconut froyo. Everyone seemed nice enough. I was told to «like» them on Facebook to keep up to date with their flavors. I did that and I finally saw coconut pop up months later. Checked their website, just to be sure, and it also listed coconut as one of their current flavors. I told my wife, as that is the only flavor see craves in froyo, and we headed out the door with our 4 month old in tow. We got there and we were told that they didn’t have that flavor anymore«oops». That will be the last time I go to that place.

I’m not sure how long this place has been open, but I just noticed it. The frozen yogurt is good, although I have had better flavors elsewhere(hard to beat Red Mango, but we don’t have one here). The topping bar is extensive, including some awesome options I haven’t had elsewhere. They have a TON of toppings and sauces. I’ve gone a couple times and will return: good food, very friendly service and convenient location. It’s also been nice and clean when I’ve been there. Oh, and they have a buy 9 get the 10th free card they will give you at the register.

Stopped in one day because I was right next door even though I’ve been in love with Suzy Swirl(just down the road) since they opened. I was NOT impressed. I was warned by the employee that machines weren’t all working properly, flavor options were just ok and the toppings were not of the quality I’m used to. This place has gotten better since it opened. I’ve been here probably about five times. The frozen yogurt is tasty and they have many toppings. The variety of fruit flavors and jellied mix ins is better than I’ve seen before. What’s better about it since it opened is that there is a chalk wall in back where customers can doodle. You can check in on Unilocal and get 15% off your creation. The television has information about health benefits of yogurt and a way for customers to send pictures to an address to have their photos shown in the store. There seemed to be wii controllers but no obvious way to play it. I have some suggestions to make the place even better. Make all of the yogurt come out frozen, not drippy, and at the same rate. This wasn’t a big problem but a minor nuisance. Paint the walls another color like pink and green to make the interior seem less sterile and more kid/teen friendly. Play popular music in the place or let customers pick something via text or a jukebox. Make sure all of the mix ins are chopped smaller. Some of the candy bars like the Twix and Mounds were too big. Have a couple of nonfat or non dairy selections. Post the nutritional content of the froyos near each one. The last one is a big one. Make sure your employees are happy, helpful and engaged! The last few times I went, they seemed disinterested. Tonight for part of the time when customers were there the guy had his back turned and was texting on his phone. He did, however, say goodbye and was nice enough at the register for my transaction. The managers/owners were very nice and helpful when I visited in months past. Maybe having a manager on duty would help. I want very much for this place to succeed. I gave this place four stars because it has a lot of potential and no insurmountable flaws. It’s perfectly located for Six Flags. Good luck guys!

Great customer service, good froyo, and I especially liked the low fat Elvis and the non fat cappaccino. It’s a cute enough place, even though I prefer another froyo establishment nearby. We do frequent both just to try the different flavors. And like many places, it’s always nice that they offer samples to you to try before making your final selection. Their website also lists a lot of specials during the week that help you save a few pennies here and there, from wearing red on certain days, to military discounts.

Completely disagree with the other post. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. They have a large assortment of flavors and toppings! We have been many times to BerrySimple and really like it!
