After being referred by a co-worker, myself and 7 other colleagues decided to try out their Fried Bacon Dawg. At first, I was skeptical but we ordered them along with some appetizers. Food came out quickly and definitely hot. Once the Hot Dog or in their words, Dawg arrived, I knew it was about to go down. These hot dawgs smelled amazing! Bacon was sizzling, dawg was smoking and it didn’t take long to sink my teeth in and I was tasting pure heaven. It was flawless, absolutely flawless. Best dawg I’ve ever eaten. Long story short, the owner came up and introduced himself and made sure the service, food and ambiance were good. It was! There was no true criticism to give because they had everything, perfect. Thanks for everything! Will definitely return!

Gorgeous bar and ambiance inside; everything is wood. Wish there were more TV’s and bigger ones too, but a nice spot to stop, drink, and eat some good grub. Very much«worth the money».

Came from the area airport. Called first to find out if they are open at 9:30 am and if they serve alcohol. The lady said why yes! And proceeded to help our cabby out with directions. We arrived within 10 minutes and it was closed with a worker telling us they don’t open until 11:30. Our cabby had left by then. Thanks a lot!

Great bar food. great prices. Wings and burgers are amazing. Would be nice to see more food choices added to the menu.

Best bar in the Village… but technically the only bar in the Village! Great local watering hole, decent beer selection, friendly bartenders and tons of townies! If you aren’t a regular you’ll be welcomed with open arms but possibly a lot of «you aren’t from around here?»… but not in a bad way! Karaōke on Tuesday and Saturday to keep ya entertained. Kitchen just opened mid-Oct, but so far I’ve had decent bar food from what I’ve tried — basic menu but anything tastes good with a cold beer, right?

A rare date night with my wife and we are DONE with the Birch. Friday night, and it’ s packed. Waited over 5 minutes for a stale pitcher of beer. Usually we get a couple of glass pint glasses but this time it was served up with plastic cups. half of the pitcher was nothing but foam. We tried getting another pitcher of another brand of beer but after a 10 minute wait we ended our very short date. Did I mention a small pitcher of beer was $ 15??? NEVERAGAIN! A new bar is set to op just across the street… thank the beer gods! The owner needs to stop being so cheep and hire more staff and offer a better product!

Was out for a drive this afternoon found myself near Groveport, Ohio USA. Never been there before, time to check it out. If you’ve never been to Groveport, it’s a very quaint town just outside of Columbus’s SE side. Lots of Civil war era buildings and houses. The Birch Tavern caught my eye, so I parked out back and went in. I’m thinking a couple beers and some sort of sandwich for lunch might hit the spot. The young dark haired bartender lady greeted me as I walked in. Also got a nod and a hey from the 5 people clustered at the end of the bar. Friendly enough place. The bar is paneled floor to ceiling in, guess what? Birch! All over, everywhere, even in the restrooms… Not my thing but hey I’ve seen worse ideas. It did look clean though, very clean. The bartender though was top drawer. She got my drink order and I asked her if they served food. She apologized and said they didn’t but there was the Little Italy Pizza place that delivered food if I wanted and she gave me their menu. She did check back a few minutes later and asked if she could call in an order for me. It was very nice of her to offer, but I decided Italian wasn’t really what I wanted after all. Had a couple beers and a few more locals — regulars came in. My bill for two Yuenglings was $ 5.00. Great prices. Left her a $ 2 tip and went on my way.
