I love it. Best breakfast burritos I’ve found yet! However, can you guys please figure out a way to let us know if you are going to be closed. This is the second time I have driven out from work to pick up some burritos and the place is closed. Plus even when the place is open the phone is rarely answered. Even if it is like a facebook post or a post on your website.

Sitting in front of Ricco’s Saturday at 10am and the doors are closed. No sign or anything! Must be out of business.

Finally tried Ricco’s DTC location today and I am so bummed! I ordered a Plain Jane breakfast burrio — sloppy style — and when I got back to work I discovered I did not get what I ordered. I even asked the guy who handed me my food if it was a breakfast burrito(as there is a Plain Jane lunch burrito) and was told it was. I ate what I had but it was not good as it was just plain beans, it was cold, and it was small. Might try them again just so I can properly review the breakfast burritos.

Ever find your self in the shiny, polished, DTC where dive restaurants that are crazy enough to just focus on good food are about as common as a healthy work-life balance? And you just wish you could get something cheesy and greasy without dying of a heart attack from a bacon slathered burger that costs over 30 bucks? This is your place man. Very Chubby’s esque, grilled burritos that really hit the spot. Some complaints on here about missing opening, but IDGAFTBH. Id rather these people stay happy unlike most of the sad drones in the dtc.

One of the best I’ve had in Denver when they ask if you want hot green chile be prepared because it’s truly hot and I loved it. I know good green chile too. It’s nice to know I can go to a place like this here in DTC.

I won’t be surprised if I’ve been to this place over 30 times and my office crew go here 3 – 4 times a week. Ricco’s burritos are the Bentley of burritos. Pricey when you compare it to a $ 2 Santiago’s burrito but WORTH the ride. I’d feel like I were committing adultery if I went any place else for burritos since they’ve got a good thing going on here. — The Mary Jane and The Maturate are my favs. — Grilling the burritos adds a nice touch — You can pick you level of chili hotness. Few Tips: * Call before you go since their hours are flexible not set in stone. If they don’t answer, they are closed * Go before or after 10am. High School kids love this place and that’s when their lunch break is * TC highness will cure a good hangover but will add red to the whiteness of your eyes I’ve never ordered from the lunch menu so I don’t know the difference between the prices and how different the portions are. Someone said the burritos are small … maybe if you compare them to a Chipotle burrito but that’s a $ 9 burrito. Also, the green chili goes inside the burrito, which I prefer. Someone here on Unilocal griped about not getting a smothered version.

Ricco’s has great burritos for reasonable prices. The décor inside is a mix of baseball pennants and action sports stickers. It seems like they are just getting going but I was very impressed. Didn’t see many healthy options also I wanted some rice but that wasn’t an option.

Delicious! The grilled option adds nice texture and flavor.

Great burritos. However the restaurant doesn’t seem to open when it says it is going to be open. The hours say they open at 6:30 a.m. on weekdays however I have called several times or stopped by several times around 7 or 7:30 and nobody is there.

Not for those watching their calories as they really load their burritos up with meat and cheese. Anything with chorizo and/or their thick cut bacon is what I would suggest. My husband and I will usually split one of their specialty burritos. And I love that they grill and char the outside a little. gives it an added texture. Oh and their spicy is SPICY so beware. Great stuff. Have not tried their lunch items yet. The place is a small store in a small strip mall close to a dairy queen. It seats probably 12 – 15 people total. We usually get ours to go. They have a cooler with soda, water and energy drinks.

Waited 15 min for a breakfast burrito. When food finally arrived it was cold and too salty.

Best breakfast burrito in Denver. Think cut bacon, green chili, grilled tortilla, loaded with potatoes.

Good burritos at a great price. It usually takes 2 to fill me up, but they are inexpensive so it’s still a full meal for $ 10 or less. The burritos are simple but delicious. Why complicate a good thing?

I’ve been to this place before, and really enjoyed it. Went again today before my game to grab a couple of breakfast burritos, and the doors were locked. Sign says 8am-1pm on Saturdays. I showed up at 9:30. Man inside walked past the door twice, stared at me, and did nothing. Kinda disappointing! Hopefully they either fix their sign to the correct hours(website says 7:30am opening on Saturdays) or OPENTHEDOORS!

I was told by more than one person I trust that I had to try the Ricco’s breakfast burrito. I have no idea how anyone can give them less than 4⁄5 stars. This is the best breakfast burrito in Denver hands down. First, they are not small, not sure what the other reviewers are talking about(perhaps an isolated experience?) They are noticeably larger than, for example, the Santiagos breakfast burritos. Second, unlike the burritos at other restaurants that often give you a soft, mushy tortilla; Ricco’s grills theirs just so, not too grilled, not too soft. The textural contrast of the tortilla and the insides are exactly what I want in a burrito. Unlike at other places, the Ricco’s tortilla keep the liquid ingredients inside without all the leaky mess, so you can eat the thing easily, even driving(not endorsing burrito-driving.) Third, the inside is an evenly-spread, melty goodness. The green chili, the meats and the cheese just meld together perfectly. The spice level is as you ask; hot is very nice(life is too short for mild,) and doesn’t distract from the flavor of the spices and herbs. The steak burrito was fantastic for example. Is it «authentic» Mexican food? Probably not, but what is? Denver-Mex isn’t anything like the regional cuisines in Mexico in most respects. If you want a delicious and balanced burrito, check it out. If $ 5 is too much for you to spend on a breakfast burrito, that’s understandable, but don’t pan an establishment because you prefer $ 2 burritos that are much smaller. A $ 5 – 10 meal is generally considered«cheap eats,» and Riccos is priced in Unilocal’s lowest price range per person.

Great price good flavor and the«hot» option is actually hot. When I think burritos, I don’t think authentic Mexican food and I don’t think this place claims to be that. It is a decent burrito spot that is very affordable.

Ordered some breakfast burritos on a Saturday morning and got them to go. Nice people but the burritos are expensive — it was just under $ 20 for 4 of them and just had regular, not smothered, meat, egg, cheese, potato and sauce. The burritos are small first off and then they put them on a grill for some reason, the result is not good. For half the price you get twice the burrito at other places — won’t be back.

We just tried this place this weekend for the first time. I will say it was delicious. We had breakfast burritos. However, we went in around 10 am on Saturday and had to wait almost 25 minutes for a burrito! There were 4 high school kids in front of us but that was it! Two people were working at the time. The young lady was just taking the orders then pacing around. The young man was cooking but very slowly. We will probably try again since it is so close and they were good. But, if it takes that long again, that will be it!

Unsure as to how this place ever was rated anything less than five stars. I would never agree that any place in Denver has better green chili than Chubby’s on 38th. I never thought that I would go to a place and have better green chili than Chubby’s and it was made by a white guy. Nonetheless that is exactly the case here! This is absolutely some of the green chili I’ve ever had in my life. When I checked in on Unilocal,I was surprised that this place only had two reviews and one of them seemed to not be accurate, at least not in my experience. This place is fantastic and should be on your list if you are looking for green chili with a bite.

This is a tough place to review, as it isn’t the type of place I’d typically go. But it’s in the ‘hood so I thought I’d try it out. They have burritos with some mix of beans, chicken, beef, steak, bacon(!), cheese, green chilli, etc. They also do breakfast burritos. I was there by accident and wanted a small meal, and the«Rock’n Ricco» fit the bill. Best thing I can say is I ordered the ‘Medium’ chilli, and it actually had some spice. Too often medium is tasteless. Prices are about $ 6, similar for breakfast and lunch. Not a keeper for me, but it is pretty much as advertised — so if you’re looking for a fast, cheap burrito place, might be the spot.
