Great spot downtown for dinner or a glass of wine. Menu is small but the do those things really well. Pricy, but you get what you pay for. Here alone? Get a glass of wine and half priced apps during happy hour. Have a pal? Get the truffle fries, huge serving for $ 6.

Service was great! Had the green tomato starter, different from other restaurants! Had the shrimp and grits as main, cheese grits were perfection! Hearty portion. Husband had famous meatloaf and Mac n cheese. He loved as well! Def going back again!

Brought my husband here for his birthday dinner… he ordered the ribeye– medium rare, I ordered their signature meatloaf. The ribeye was very good but raw in the middle, perfect after sending back for some extra flames. My meatloaf was tasty but bone dry, hard as a rock. The manager said it was a new recipe… The mac-n-cheese was good as were the peas in cream sauce. The atmosphere is quaint but tends to be a bit loud. Everyone seemed to be having a great time enjoying their meals and drinks. All in all, I will give it another try, maybe for lunch next time.

What a disappointment! The Green Room did NOT live up to it’s reputation on any front. Here’s a snapshot of our experience. ARRIVAL: Upon arrival on Sunday evening, we were seated promptly. It took over 5 minutes before our server showed up, even though the restaurant was more than half empty. Not bad but not great either. We all wanted beer, but she had to go check what exactly was available(there’s only six!). We requested and received samples of two seasonal varieties that were not on the list and had replaced two of the list options. Appreciated that option. Took quite a while to get the beer. AMBIANCE: We had a booth by the window. Nice view of the activity and lights on Main Street. Booth was comfortable. Restaurant has nice décor but nothing that is remarkable. Fairly nondescript. TRUFFLEFRIES: The Green Room hails a national award for their Truffle Fries, so of course we ordered an $ 8 bowl for us to try. We all agreed that they are NOT worth the hype or price! They were lukewarm and on the greasy side. We all noted that they were limp and it seemed like they had been sitting for quite a while. They were sprinkled with parmesan cheese but we could not detect a «truffle element» that would make them stand out. All of us agreed afterwards that other places had much better fries and there was nothing exceptional about them at all, especially at the price asked. Certainly not worth any fuss. ENTREES: We were all disappointed here too. Two members of our party had the meatloaf. Both commented that it had weak flavor, did not taste freshly made, and was tough, as if it had been reheated in a microwave. One other person had the crab cakes, which is one of his favorite foods. There were two in the order and they were large! However, he said they were among the poorest he had had anywhere. I ordered shrimp & grits and only ate half of it. Their recipe was disgusting to me. In a city and state known for this signature dish, these were about the worst I’ve had. BOTTOMLINE: After we left the restaurant we discussed our experience and universally agreed that there was nothing that would give us cause to return. The quality at every step was below par, especially at the prices charged here. Far better options abound within just a few blocks.

We ordered the short rib tacos appetizer. They were a little spicy for me, an admitted spice wimp, but still a great blend of flavors. The Cauliflower Gorgonzola soup was lovely. A creamy delicate blend of flavors, really delicious. The blackened salmon was nicely balanced with the chutney. The onion grits tasted pretty good to a couple of northerners. We tried the seasonal bread pudding dessert, which was Cinnabon tonight. It was good but too much bread, not enough pudding. The service was excellent. Nicole was friendly and attentive, very prompt without making us feel rushed.

I took my boyfriend to dinner here as a gift for our anniversary thinking it would be great, however, I ever wrong. Our server was friendly but the food was horrible. We started off with mussels as an app, they were ok. Then, for dinner I ordered the scallops over asparagus risotto with a pomegranate purée. My scallops tasted salty and had some awful blackish-gray juice that the chef tried to lie about being a color that happened when being cooked. Gross, it looked like metal from an old pan. The risotto was extremely salty & way over cooked… you actually had to cut it to take a bite – not at all how risotto should be prepared! My boyfriend ordered the Crab Cakes entrée and let’s just say, they were also salty and 80% filler barely any crab. The restaurant had clumps of dust hanging onto the paneled curtains on the walls and it smelled moldy. I would never suggest this restaurant to anyone. Also, interestingly, I voiced my experience on their Facebook page and NOONE from the management apologized talk about horrible management.

We stopped for a bite to eat on Father’s day. Despite not having reservations, we were seated fairly quickly. We sat at an outside table, and even though it was a bright(warm) sunny day, the table umbrella was both thick and wide enough to provide complete protection throughout our meal. I had the farmhouse burger with the Parmesan truffle fries. My husband ordered the black and bleu burger, and my son had chicken fingers with fries. Both my husband and myself were amazed that no condiments were required. The burgers were perfectly cooked and super juicy. My son enjoyed his chicken fingers. They were nicely sized; enough to fill his tummy. Service was a bit slow, but I’m not going to hold it against them, as it was Father’s day, and they had three call-off’s that day. The waiter was super nice and made sure our drinks were refilled in a timely manner. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area and want to try something new!

I went to Green Room with a huge group for a Saturday brunch. We were all in town for a wedding, and needed a place to eat that was a) within walking distance of our hotel, b) able to seat a party of ten, and c) preferably not disgusting. The Green Room ended up being a great choice. We got a table that fit all our food and bodies, and the meal was pretty good. The place was cute and comfortable, and we were all able to relax and catch up as we ate. Service was slightly awkward, but I think our large party size had something to do with that. There was a full bar, and I got my day started with a nice bloody mary. It was thick and spicy, and it cost a very reasonable $ 7. It had no garnish, even though I saw others around the dining room with olives. Maybe I had to ask, or maybe our waitress hated our table. The food was solid. I ordered the Indian chicken salad sandwich with a side of shoestring fries. The sandwich cost $ 8 and the fries were included – I don’t know if this is cheap for Greenville, but I thought it was a great deal. The fries were just okay, but I really liked the sandwich. The curried chicken salad was full of flavor, and hunks of walnut and raisin added nice textural contrast to the tender chicken. The chicken salad came on golden raisin bread with mango chutney, and the raisins and chutney added some pleasant sweetness to the sandwich. I ate half for brunch and saved the second half for my hangover the next day – it went down pretty easy both times. My husband got the French toast, made with fresh baguettes and served with cinnamon whipped cream, strawberries, bacon, and maple syrup. It was a tasty French toast. I could see myself being a regular at the Green Room if I lived in Greenville, and would recommend it to anyone in search of a decent meal. The food is good, and it comes without hassle. My friends and I had a lovely time.

Awesome food. The fried green tomatoes were served with cream cheese and were truly scrumptious. Service was great. Only downside was that they didn’t serve moscato.

A wonderfully delicious, trendy, classy establishment. Came with a group of coworkers and was impressed with the variety of food and the excellent customer service. Beer They have a nice selection of craft beers. Per the waiters suggestion I ordered a Pecan Beer which was lightly sweet and flavored of Pecan. Appetizer It was my first time to eat Fried Green Tomatoes. Wow they were F’n Delicious. Crunchy outside and moist soft inside. There was a cheesy onion like spread on top with a little cranberry. Its a Must try! The Beef Nacho were savory as well Salad, GETTHEGREENROOMSALAD. very tasty. Spring mix greens, Candy walnuts, fresh crisp apples and tasty zesty dressing. Meal: The pork chop mean with a huge tater tot infused with crab. The pork chop was cooked well, moist and savory — however a little thin. I like a THICK pork chop and was a little disappointment by the size. The tot was pretty good but needed some sauce on top. Perhaps something like a creamy garlic sauce. You’ll be happy you came here. Slightly pricey Comment The green room is very dim inside. Great for a romantic dinner or with close friends, maybe a little too dim for dinner with coworkers as I was with.

I love Restaurant Week, because it gets me to try places that, for whatever reason, I haven’t quite made it to yet. This time was The Green Room.

While visiting Downtown Greenville we found this place while walking and saw the menu and thought, why not. Overall the food was awesome! However, our waiter was not very attentive. It took forever to get our drinks and what little we asked for, he took his time to get. I hope he was just having a bad day, because I hope to return to this place. However, the food was amazing! I got a French Dip and She Crab soup. Both of which were awesome. My friend got a burger and said it was delicious. I had some of parmesan truffle fries that came with it and they were great!

I ordered the house salad, with house dressing, It was large and in charge! And a perfect size for lunch! Filling but not so huge that your dragging the rest of the day! We sat at the bar and the bar tender kept our waters full and took care of us well! Nice spot with indoor and outdoor seating and I very much enjoyed my lunch!

Der Artischoken-Spinat-Dipp ist genial — allerdings für eine Person eher ein Hauptgericht! Für Freunde bayerischer Brauereien: hier gibts Augustiner!!!
