Friendly, fast service. Fresh salads — had the tuna, almond chicken, and southern chicken as a triple play. Probably best quality salads I’ve had from a «deli.» Maybe a bit pricey, but you get a higher quality product here.

The food is amazing. If I could afford it, I would eat here every day. My favorite is Rick’s Chop Salad. But really everything on the menu is amazing. They have never disapponted me.

This place is great. We were staying in the Hampton Inn but drove from Charlotte after flying in, so we were pretty hungry(and about to see a whole lot of family, the potential for a meltdown on my part was high). We lucked out, Rick’s has a great selection of sandwiches and desserts, plus they sell craft beer by the bottle if you’re into that! Service was friendly and prompt, they’ve got a nice little outside patio area where you can people watch and enjoy the outdoors! I honestly don’t remember how much it was but I don’t remember cringing at our total. Greens were fresh, fries were good, try their chicken salad!

Gourmet deli selections and sides with desserts that are extraordinary! Across street from Hampton Inn and near Falls Park, so very convenient location. Nice variety on the kids menu. Our daughter loved the pink macroons. The coconut bombe cake was incredible. I will be back for the desserts!

I was in town staying at the Hampton(right across the street) so I walked over for lunch. I was greeted by a friendly staff and clean and cheery interior. The special of the day was lasagne and it looked amazing! It was an enormous slice covered in fresh ripe sauce. I think it was $ 8… But i got the pick 3 salad sampler after they let me taste the Almond Chicken Salad(wow!). I got it with Greek pasta salad and fruit salad. Everything was super tasty, fresh and very filling. I was really impressed!!! The desert case was calling my name, but I held strong… I’ll probably go back today to give in:)

I don’t know what the other reviewers are talking about with the bad service. The workers here have always been amazingly polite and helpful. The food is also exemplary with options for any taste. Large portions for the price and everything is delicious. The orzo and macarons are especially good. I limited my review to 4 stars because I wish they had slightly more flavorful food. It tends to be very plain and could use some spice and pizzaz.

Being that Ricks Deli has sort of a niche market for quick and easy lunches, you’d hope that they wouldn’t take that positioning for granted. A lot of reviewers are saying it’s overpriced, but I agree with some others that I would pay more if the food was better. This was my 3rd time there and I tried the BLT. The toast was greasy for some reason and the bacon was undercooked and seemed more like the kind you’d buy for microwave cooking. Nothing crispy or flavorful. It’s such a simple sandwich that I really can’t understand a bad execution of it. The coleslaw was excellent and the servers were very nice.

You can’t get past one star if you don’t start off right. Not sure how a customer can stand in front of a server and not get a hello, welcome, thanks for coming in. I thought about walking out, but then got a short and slightly rude I’ll be right with you; and there are not many other options to choose from close by. So I committed to order, handed my payment to the person who took my order. The person rudely put the card on the counter instead of returning the same respect. It’s all about service and treating customers right. They do keep you in business. Maybe this has changed; I missed the memo. If service is important to you, you won’t get it here.

I live very close to this deli and would probably frequent it more often if it weren’t so overpriced, however it does hit the spot when the weather is bad or I’m extra lazy. Service is usually a little slow, but we’re in the south, so it’s probably just getting some southern love. The other night my gf picked up a slice of possibly the best chocolate cake I’ve ever had, it was incredible. Rich but not too rich, delicious frosting, and perfect mini chocolate chips on the outside… Mmmmmmm.

I rated 5 stars because the food here is outstanding! We will definately return, but only for the food. The service was absolutely horrible, we had someone by the name of Joseph helping us I believe and he was extremely rude, dont work customer service if you’re going to stand there and basically push us out the door. If it werent for the food being as great as it is, I would never return.

Nice environment that can be a bit noisy so if you’re looking for peace and quiet, this isn’t the place. I’ve eaten here two time now and will continue to do so. The first time I had the pastrami sandwich and it was great and this time I had the ham and cheese quiche. The quiche was well prepared however it could’ve used more cheese, it wasn’t all that warm either. I had the french fries both times, first time they were warm and this time not so much. It was actually busier the first time I went so maybe that’s why the food overall was warmer. The fries are some of my favorite anywhere as long as they are good and warm. I recommend you give it a try. The wife goes more often than I and loves it.

It’s a big, bright, and open space as you walk in. There’s ample covered seating outside. I went for lunch and was impressed by the sandwich and salad selection. Ended up going with the chopped salad. It was good but nothing to write home about. It was served with a couple of pita points which was a nice touch. Next time I will get the dressing on the side because it was a little much mixed in. They serve wine and pepsi products. The deli case had a bunch of cold salad options and in the far corner they had macarons!

Walked in and saw the reason for it being packed: bright, clean, positive, and good food on display. Met the owner and had a good conversation about his place. Very personal and willing to serve all that came in. A good addition to Greenville. Thanks Rick! I had a BLT with fruit and all was a good lite lunch for me. Good prices for the good meal. It is obvious that this is a regular for the downtown crowd. Well done.

Exceptional food, relatively prompt service, great selection and ooh, the bakery. I’ve never been disappointed at Rick’s, having had lunch there half a dozen times or more. The food is simple and satisfying, the staff is knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is light and welcoming. Don’t skip the bread or pastries, which are outstanding. My only complaint was the lack of a baby changing station, necessary for lunch with the family. But I happened to see Rick Erwin there one day and suggested he add one — and I understand he has!

Good variety and a great find for lunch! I got the Carolina Black and Blue — soooo good! Their fries were crispy and good. Definitely will be returning. Yum!

I wasn’t expecting this from a deli, but I had one of the best fish tacos from here! The creamy sauce with corn and peppers was delicious, and the mild fish was cooked perfectly. The quesadilla was large and loaded with cheese but not the most tasty I’ve ever had, but was still pretty good. Will definitely put this place on regular rotation now as we live close by.

I have tried the Deli 3 times. 1st time I had some cold chicken salad and other cold salads togo. I think they were good for the most part. nothing special, just average quality. 2nd time I ordered a chef salad and soup to go. The salad was of the Grocery store quality and was very small for the price. The cup of soup as well was very bland and overpriced. Amy’s from the grocery is canned and much better quality. 3rd time I got a caesar salad and black bean soup togo. The salad was shredded and a bit old. The chicken was hard and dry and the croissant was most likely from this morning or earlier, rock hard. The soup was ok, decent flavor, but for $ 18 not worth it. I’ve worked in a scratch kitchen for 15 years and if you have issues with soups and salads, something is wrong.

I tried the chicken quesadilla tonight and was very disappointed. The chicken was dry a flavorless. But seeing my disappointment the manager not only refunded me the meal but served me a tasty French dip. The roast beef was a good quality of meat and the bread was soft and fresh. The service is superb at this deli.

While visiting my sister, we grabbed lunch here. It is very bright, clean, and organized. The staff are UBERFRIENDLY(like so friendly I was scared!) You order and pay at the counter, then they give you a number and bring your food to your table. The have a pretty expansive menu of café style entrees, served with your choice of side. They also have a large area with many delicious looking wines. In the deli part they have lots of nice cheeses, desserts, and meats. I would definitely stop in here if I was going to have a wine and cheese party! They have everything you would need! Now, why three stars? I’m sorry, I don’t know if I hit it on a bad day or what, but I was very disappointed with the food. I love chicken salad, so I got the chicken salad sandwich. It was missing something– needed more mayo, a little salt and pepper, and a sliced red onion. I also found a bone in mine, yuck! My sister ordered the french fries with her lunch and they were DELISH! Wish I would have gotten that, but I had unfortunately ordered the cole slaw. It was awful. The cabbage was in huge chunks, like not sliced at all and very low/poor flavor. My sister ordered the pimento cheese BLT and I tried her sandwich and wished I had gotten that too! I think this place probably normally has really great food, I think I just ordered the wrong thing on the wrong day.

Beautiful market. Nice lunch. Been there a couple of times. The Cuban Crisis(a cuban sandwich) was great. The coleslaw is also quite tasty. The cucumber salad needs kicked up a notch. It was a bit bland to my taste. I had the Rueben most recently. Tasty sandwich with great pastrami piled high. It was a bit soupy which knocks off a star. I’d recommend the place. I really do like the bustle and the ambiance. The service is good. I’ll go back and see how it develops.
