Super Mercado La Unica

I wish this place was close to my house. It’s the cleanest store that I’ve ever stepped in. The produce and meat selections are unbelievable. They have homemade tortillas and fresh made foods. Love, love, love this place.

A pretty huge Spanish supermarket! They serve breakfast from like 7 or 730 in the morning and Spanish meals too I believe. They spoke Spanish to me so this will be the place I will be practicing espanol! I think I speak better than the cashier!

OK — call me clueless, but I just didn’t realize the immense spanish-​speaking population in both NC and SC. On my drive from AVL down to TLH, I noticed this place on the road and had to immediately detour with the hopes of scoring a pound or two of Morcilla (incidentally, my one-​liner regarding Curate in AVL was that they needed to include Morcilla — they can get it here! — after all, no self-​respecting Tasca in Espana would be without it).
Well — I DID get the Morcilla. What a treat this was. the last time I was in a Mexican supermarket was back in early 2013 in Las Cruces, NM (Pro Ranch). This is almost the same, although the dine-​in area is much smaller.
Regardless, they have everything here that the Mexican coming would want — and the non-​Mexican too!
the butcher section is immense — with cuts that you won’t find at our gringo butchers. good stuff.
All I got was the Morcilla (I’m travelling, after all) — but I wold love to have something like this a bit closer to TLH!
If you’re in the area, treat yourself to a visit. you’re going to find plenty of good stuff here.

El otro día mi novia y you fuimos a Super Mercado La Unica en White Horse Road en Berea, SC. Fuimos a comprar los ingredientes para fajitas, pero necesitábamos a alguien a encontrar este ingredientes. Un trabajador llamado Felipe nos ayudó mucho y era muy simpatico. encontramos los frijoles, pollo, tortillas, queso y pimientos muy rápidamente. Como preparábamos los ingredients vi muchas cosas buenas de este mercado. Era muy largo y limpio y me gustó que tienen muchos piñatas. También compré algunos refrescos diferentes que se vendían en mi restaurante mexicano favorito en Maryland. Yo estaba muy contento con mi experiencia en La Unia.
