The cookies are wonderful. The buttercream icing is very good, but overpowers the cake rather than complimenting it. The cake is freshly baked, but not very moist. Overall the deserts are good, but lack that“wow” factor.

I l-o-v-e Strossner’s. Their cakes are just the yummiest. I was driving from California to North Carolina and a friend invited me to stop for lunch at Strossner’s. Lunch possibilities are plentiful and delicious. But the real draw for me was all of the bakery goods. I bought several slices of cakes to take with me to North Carolina, which somehow survived the rest of the trip and were perfectly fresh and delicious. A few years later, I ordered a cake to have my daughter pick up when they were coming to visit. I got the European Fudge Cake and everyone loved it. Fresh, chocolatey and absolutely perfect. Whenever I am remotely close to Strossner’s, I will always make a detour to go there.

Second time here for lunch, and I love coming here! They have grilled cheese for only $ 4 and you get to choose what kind a cheese you like! I also tried their chicken pot pie, and it was creamy with a nice buttery, flaky crust. Desserts are a bit on the expensive side and a little too sweet for my taste which is why I gave it one less star. Would come back again to try their other café selections and maybe to try a less sweeter treat.

Bought a 50.00 fruitcake that was not fit to eat. I have bought cakes at Strossner’s for years but they seem to be going downhill fast.

Strossner’s…hmmmm. It has had its day and is now trying to keep up with the Joneses. At one point, they were the crème de la crème of bakeries(no pun intended). There are so many bakeries out there now that far surpass their products and with better prices. I have to wonder if they are still buying their ingredients from a local mom and pop company because they are SOEXPENSIVE and don’t taste any better than other bakeries in the area. They have branched out and provide a lunch eating area. If you’ll notice, most of the clientele are older ladies meeting for tea and biscuits or older gentlemen stopping by for a quick bite. This place just is not young and fresh and hip anymore. It was at one point, and those same folks are no longer young but still coming here. I don’t know, don’t get me wrong, they have an eclectic array of pastries and goodies and fresh bread, but I just can’t swallow $ 8 for a bowl of soup and some bread that I could have easily made at home(which is what we ordered for take out). They just aren’t «original» anymore.

Oh man. Strossner’s is amazing. Their cookies are out of this world, their cakes are delicious, and the chicken salad sandwiches are great. Plus, they have multiple kinds of chicken salad to choose from. Their array of pastries is wide, as well. Service has always been good for me. The staff are polite and quick. Although it’s not the cheapest option, this place is worth every penny.

Excellent salads and very fresh ingredients. Large display cases showed a very nice variety of pastries. My husband had the éclair and I had the orange cream cake. Both were very good. We were in a hurry to take off, so got everything to go, and they held up well. The service was very good.

QUALITYINGREDIENTSWILLPRODUCEQUALITYPRODUCTS This was not the experience I had hoped it would be. I entered this bakery to see if they had something special that my daughter would enjoy. As I looked around and tried to decide on something to try, my eyes landed on a couple of treats. I tried the pecan diamond and the fruit tart and was not pleased with either because they both had a very heavy greasy crust. I did not taste butter but there was a very heavy lard/shortening after taste. Despite this, I decided to try a cinnamon roll because I erroneously assumed that they just used cheap ingredients in their crust and would not dare to use them in a delicate pastry or cinnamon roll, Right? Wrong! Plain and simple, this bakery does not use quality ingredients and it shows in the finished product. I don’t know what kind of fat they are using but it can’t be butter because I bake with butter all the time and my baked goods are edible. I could not eat the cinnamon roll and I just don’t know what more to say. Obviously, I will not be purchasing any more items from this bakery because my family deserves better. By the way, when my husband sampled the chocolate cake and said out loud, «My wife’s tastes better», that should have been my clue to walk away because he would normally never say something like that out loud. I could only say«I’m sorry». Talk about awkward! I think that I will simply stick with my favorite French bakeries from now on!

My ‘go to’ for all my cake needs! Every birthday and special occasion that we celebrate during the course of a year –Stroessner’s has covered them all. Their cakes are wonderful and never disappoint. My favorite has always been the Pink Lemonade. Yum! They have done some beautiful custom cakes for me and always listen to my wishes on how I want them to look and make it happen. And I can never go in there that I don’t walk out with the cheese/pecan wafers and a cookie or two! I don’t even consider any other place for the cakes/desserts I buy.

Recently had our gender reveal party and ordered the cake from here. They had no trouble making the cake to my specifcations and dyeing the cake like i asked. The cake came out wonderful! The decorating was perfect and the cake was moist and delicious. They are a tad pricey but well worth it! Will definetly be back!

If you wanna pay 10 dollars for two slices of bread with a little stuffing coupled with coffee that tastes like water, this place is ideal. Sorry for being so blunt but I found this to be too expensive. On the plus side, their bakery breads are really good. Jalopeno Cheddar for example.

PRICE: A little on the high side but so is the quality. FOOD: Excellent chocolate cake. Excellent cheese danish. STAFF: Very good. OTHER: The«our best chocolate cake» is also«my best chocolate cake». It is no exaggeration that this is CONSISTENTLY the best chocolate take I’ve had in my life. Sorry Mom. I really wish they also had pie(apple, cherry, etc).

My favorite cake is their white cake with white icing — decorated lavishly of course. I also think their quiche is wonderful — great balance of egg/filling with a tender shell. Customer service is always met with a smile. Afternoon tea is fun to attend with friends. October festival is enjoyable for the whole family.

Have always been a big fan since even before moving to the Upstate. Got a bit disappointed with them last year when they wouldn’t made a particular cake for my husband’s birthday which they had made in the past so I got a little pissy and stopped going for about 9 months. Went back a couple weeks ago and they’ve remodeling and stopped being a florist. Have room now for more pastries, cakes and cookies. Got a large box of several different things and everything was as good as I remember. Especially like their blueberry muffins because they don’t sprinkle that hard sugar on top like so many other bakeries do. Funny thing is the cake they wouldn’t make for me a while back? They now have individual cake bars for sale all the time of that same favor. Have more take home meal items available. Purchased the cottage beef pie for $ 20 and it is excellent. Very filling and we’ll definitely get 8 servings from that one pie. Counter service is friendly as always.
