My favorite place to eat steak. The best in Grenville N.C. or anywhere else I have been! Yum Yum Desert is out of this world!!! Try it you won’t regret it !!

I too am confused by the few low reviews. I came because my son, a foodie, had a good experience at the Seahorse and wanted to share with the family. I come from a restaurant family and have owned a food service, my other son is an executive chef. We critique every restaurant meal we have. It’s the family sport. I was asked how was my barbecued chicken, I responded by grasping the leg bone and showing that it would easily pull out of the meat. The sauce was nicely spicy and charred. We asked for one steak medium rare the other «Pittsburgh» which is charred quickly on both sides with the middle almost raw. Although they had not heard the term, the restaurant chefs were able to produce a good Pittsburgh. Out of six meals. My sweet potato was perfectly cooked. The seafood all disappeared, no doggy bags. So it must have been good. Portion size was right. I couldn’t sell even one of our six on a dessert. The people are friendly and they try to please you. The place is not pretentious. Prices are moderate. This is a good place.

I had the lunch buffet. It was pretty good, but not outstanding. The salad bar was probably the best part of all. Others in our group raved about the fried chicken, but I didn’t have any, so I can’t confirm. A very nice staff, and I get the sense that ordering off the menu may be the way to go.

Awesome place. Danny is a great owner. I have taken our entire staff here for a prime rib dinner and it was excellent. The buffet or the menu is great. Not sure why there is negative reviews because it has always been great. The desserts are all homemade! The HOHO cake is great!

We love Seahorse! Our favorite time to visit is on Thursday night for the Country buffet. We also love menu items. Make sure you order a piece of cake — Butter Pecan is my favorite. They have some of the best staff around! Ask for Brandon or Heidi!!!

Tried this place Not good. Little food for the price. Ordered fried flounder scallops cole slaw and onion rings. Flounder was tough. Scallops dripped in oil. Cole slaw was pre made garbage. And onion rings were sitting in grease with little batter. Terrible. This place should be shut down. I won’t be back.

We ordered broiled seafood. It was terrible. Someone needs to teach them how to make cocktail and remolaude sauce. The fish was awful, the crabcake was awful, the baked sweet potato was overcooked, the green beans were out of a can, I really don’t have anything good to say. Greenville needs a good seafood restaurant. I guess the folks here aren’t used to much. Don’t waste your money.
