If you can tolerate the rude employee at the front desk you will do okay staying here. The room was clean and as expected for the price. I, however, will not give my business to a place that allows that type of employee to continue employment.

This places looks like it would literally SUCK from the area and outside. Once we checked in it was nice and average. The carpet does have humps in it and you can tell has been updated recently. As for the staff, they all speak and say hello. At breakfast, one of the members of staff made small talk with kids and us. To say the least, I am beyond impressed with the service and cleanliness of this establishment.

I noticed some upgrades to the rooms since my last visit including the vanity lights and new lamps. Rooms are clean & quiet. Nice breakfast bar. Assistant Manager has been there for several years and is always upbeat, polite, and professional.

No flat screens. designer shampoo, or fancy linens or soft beds. All things considered, not too bad a stay even with a snowstorm. Maybe because of the snow there were fewer hot choices at the breakfast bar. The location was convenient, however, most everything in Greenville is across town on 10th Street apparently. This became an issue once we were snowed in. The only thing open were a Denny’s and Waffle House across the street; even McDonald’s down the street closed at 3 pm and did not reopen the next day. Didn’t really matter since they didn’t plow the hotel’s parking lot, and barely shoveled the walkways(but at least there was a path). The room was clean, spacious, a bit dated looking, but warm throughout the weekend. The cable TV offered a lot of choices for lying in bed and alternating between watching the snow fall and watching TV. The free wi-fi worked as well. I was put off by the very unhelpful front desk staff — the now notorious response of «there’s a phone book in your room» and a total lack of interest in the impact of the snowstorm on traveler’s plans and the implied warning to those who planned to steal the sheets or alarm clock(the TV is bolted down). That seemed to explain a lot. But hotels in Greenville are for some reason pricey, and the Quality Inn, always a chancy proposition anywhere, was a decent room and a better price.
