Given that this was one of the cheaper options I could find for my recent stay in Greenville, I wasn’t expecting much. Yet my experience still fell short of my expectations. I’ll start with the good. The staff that I encountered were friendly. The owner had recently moved to North Carolina from where I currently reside to take over the hotel. We had a couple of pleasant conversations. The guy working the front desk when I went to get my breakfast both mornings was also very friendly and apologetic when they didn’t have some items I had expected. Also, the bed was really comfy and the room was clean. I slept like a baby both nights. Now for a quick rundown of the bad: –It looks like no updates have been made to the rooms in years– from the linens to the ancient TV. –The TV remote and coffee maker in my room didn’t work. –The water temperature in the shower was difficult to adjust. –The breakfast was VERY basic– no fruit or fresh bread other than a loaf of cinnamin raisen(which they didn’t have the second morning) and the coffee was terrible –No fitness equipment –Wifi connection was spotty
