Excellent food at great price! The lemonade is sooooo good and refreshing. The only dish I wasnt too fond of was the lamb kebab, but the chicken kebab is really tasty and juicy. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and they’re all really good. This should be a top candidate for diners driveins and dives if they haven’t been nominated already.

Super delicious and great price point! Can’t go wrong here. Proverbial hole-in-the-wall and the taste to go with it! Way to go Pita House!!! When in San Antonio, TX try Jerusalem Grill across from Ingram Park Mall on Wurzbach Rd!!!

I love the falaffels here. Very autyhentic. The people are friendly. The service is quick andf attentive. My only desire is that I could pay with plastic. Cash only can be a bother, especially for business purposes. Lost a star for that downfall.

Loved it. Fast and super-fresh, high quality. First time in Greenville. Great place for lunch. Cash only though. Totally recommend.

Very authentic Middle Eastern food that is about as fresh can be. As you soon as you walk in the door you are hit with beautiful aromas that are very stimulating. #falafel #chicken #Mediterranean #pitahouse #greenville #southcarolina

My favorite Mediterranean spot in the country. Everything on the menu is delicious, and prices are very reasonable. Came here for lunch probably 2x per week for 8 months when I lived in Gville.

Best authentic Mediterranean food in town. Cash only but worth a trip to the bank. Great desserts as well and pitas to go are amazing.

I have one word to describe my experience at Pita House — FALAFAL. Seriously — I love the stuff — and theirs is the best. Of course, I’m gaga over their hot sauce too. It isn’t too hot — but has a delightful fresh flavor and is good on *everything*. Don’t believe me? Go to the attached grocery and pick some of their in-house made hot sauce from the refrigerator section, take it home, and try it on anything you can think of. Yeah, it’s that good. Also — I’m kind of obsessed with the kibbe right now too. When I break the crust and get a nice whiff of the spiced meat and onion mixture it makes my mouth water. This place is, as someone on TV says, «legit». It is completely family run and completely delicious.

The falafel and humus tasted really authentic. Shawarma was alright. It had a lively atmosphere. Good for an afternoon hangout with friends/family.

My favorite places in G’ville for Middle Eastern food. CASHONLY! This is a counter type restaurant so you order, pay, and sit and they will bring it to you. Food is awesome and everything tastes home-made. I always get the Middle East Plate. It gives you a nice mix of everything. Love everything on it. Don’t forget to browse the market after you eat.

Great food! While I was in the Marine Corps and was in the middle east this was the food that I ate. Traditional taste!

I thought this place was great! By far the best option for Mediterranean food in Greenville I’ve found thus far. The food was fresh, and my order was ready when I walked in(I ordered over the phone & the place was simply packed when I got there-though I was still able to find myself a parking spot). Had the Unilocaler-recommended veggie plate(glad I listened!) and I wanted a side of something they were out of, so the guy recommended the lentils, and they were awesome. They only accept cash, just so you know, and they do not accept tips. Next time I go, I’ll have to check out the little market the have in the back.

I’ve been to Israel twice for extended trips and the food here does disappoint! It’s authentic and delicious, plus the market with authentic Israeli food & spices is a plus. I’ve had the gyro schwarma which was great, but the chicken and lamb kabobs are where it’s at! Make sure you get the chicken and let your tastebuds explode with flavor!

Pita House is probably the best food in Greenville. I love Middle Eastern food and this rates as some of the best I’ve ever had. It is authentic, fresh, and delicious. I love everything I’ve tried here, but the kibbi really stands out. Try the kibbi and stuffed grape leaves platter sometimes. Their falafel and shwarma are also great. Every time I am in town I make sure to visit Pita House, and it is better every time. As many others have said, cash only! I wish they would change to accept credit cards, but its worth the hassle.

CASHONLY!!! We finally made our trip to the Pita House since we have seen the crazy amount of reviews and we both love Mediterranean food. Having turkish running thru my blood. … but I was kinda confused on the fuse of this place unless a lot of locals haven’t experienced Mediterranean dishes. I got the Middle East plate. Falafel, hummus, choice of meat. Yogurt mixture with onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers(this kind I have never had) different from what I’m used to. Side salad, I chose the Gyro meat. Gyro meat was beyond salty. One bite and I was already swollen. Came with one pita and it was good. Hummus was good. Didn’t care for the yogurt mixture. All in all pretty meh. I actually didn’t care for it. Made me sad. My fiancé got the beef shawarma plate and it was so dry and chewie. It was worse than a piece of flank sun dried steak. Legit not happy. Poor guy. On the side, we got some grape leaves that I have made and grew up making. Not the worst and not the best. The rice was over cooked and they didn’t seem very fresh. Attached to a market were they sell pita and other spices. Very clean and cafeteria like inside. Order and have a seat! All in all to each their own, but we won’t be back for seconds. It was nice to see what all the fuse was about.

The Pita House is an inconspicuous and hidden gem. If you can get my PICKY child to love the authentic Middle Eastern food, then you’re doing something right! These folks put the emphasis on the food, not the glam(because there is none). Their food is very tasty, fresh, unique and true to their culture. It’s owned and run by a Middle Eastern family and sometimes I can hardly understand what they are saying. Thankfully, they have created a picture menu of what you are ordering. If you’re new, they will point to the picture of the item you should order to introduce your taste buds to the food. Take a seat, they don’t seat you. Clean up your mess. They don’t clean up after you. While you wait for your food, or after you’re done, head to the back of the restaurant. There you will find their store of foods and delectables from their region of the world. You will find some very interesting and unique ingredients to help you recreate some of the foods they make. I highly recommend this place. Go early(or after the rush) because they are always busy.
