Let me start off by saying the room was great. A little noisy but hey its a hotel it’s expected. The king bed was great, the shower was better. All in all a nice little place. I gave it 3 stars because the breakfast kinda sucked. My wife and I have stayed in la quint hotels mainly for their pet friendly attitude, and they don’t charge extra. We also stay for the hearty breakfast. The bagels were stale. I’m in the south there weren’t biscuts, no bacon or sausage. They had waffles and hardboiled eggs. Yes there was cereal and yogurt. That’s about it. enough said.

While the renovation is great, the room we are staying in this time does not have a fridge or microwave. Fortunately, there is a sign in the room that says«thank you for not smoking.» Unfortunately people pay no attention to the sign. The room smells like smoke.

I try to read reviews before booking and this time I only looked at the ones on the AARP site which were favorable. Plus, the La Quintas I pass seem to be decent for a budget hotel. It’s not that the room wasn’t comfortable or clean(although there was a slight odor). It’s not that the staff wasn’t friendly, because they were. It’s wasn’t the breakfast which is like every other of its type. You decide if you have any qualms about staying in property sandwiched in between the back of a strip mall and the interstate. And one that offers weekly rates because your breakfast companions will reflect that. I don’t mean to be cruel or disrespectful to lower income folk, I’m just saying that if I had been presented with this information, for me, I would have felt more comfortable elsewhere

As someone stated earlier, this is a motel, not a hotel. Rooms all smell of stale smoke from years past and even though the price seems right, you can certainly do better. Sink is clogged, towels aren’t clean and haven’t been replaced in years, stains on the rug, etc. I booked two nights here and checking out after one night and finding another place to stay.

If I could rate this 0 I would. Absolutely horrendous experience here. Only positive was that the front desk people were really nice, but housekeeping was absolutely out of this world terrible. Room smelled STRONG of pee. We requested our sheets be changed after 3 days of use and housekeeping came in, remade the bed with the same sheets and pillows that had been on the pee-smelly floor(don’t even want to think about what else is soaked into that carpet) and put a note on the pillow saying they had changed the sheets. The pillow had crap from the floor on it. I imagine this happened a few times during our extended stay and we didn’t notice because there was no evidence on the pillows. I was so disgusted we left the hotel right away and went to a different hotel and we are so happy to say we will NEVER make the mistake of booking at this hotel again.

Many believe the saying ‘you get what you pay for’ to be an accurate statement that quality and amount spent are correlated. This statement does not hold true for La Quinta Inn. For $ 73 a night(shoutout to Hotel Tonight for the discount), I was able to stay for one night at La Quinta. I don’t know about you, but I do not believe that anyone should have to pay for herpes, which is what you will contract if you stay here. There are no other words to describe this yeast infection of a motel. The cost here does not reflect the quality at all. I would rather sleep in my car.

La Quinta — Wake up on the bright side Passing through the town, and meeting up with a friend of mine before I leave in the morning, we decided to hit the town a bit. After a night of fun it became apparent we are in no condition of going anywhere, and amazingly this little La Quinta is close by. It’s a decent stay. I really have nothing to complain about. The bed was soft, no weird smell, decently hot shower, and no noisy neighbors. We arrived way late night(or rather, early morning) but they guy was still pretty friendly. I asked for a first floor room. but none was available, but he offered the next best thing, the room right in front of the stair going up to the second floor; I thought that was a good thing, until morning break, and everyone is stomping on the stairs up and down the floors. It’s all good, since we needed to get a move on anyway. (Originally visited Aug-26−2011)

This is truly, meh. It’s a place to stay. They’ll happily take your pet(cat). The beds are comfortable and the pillows are soft. That’s about it. It’s old. Some updating would benefit this place so much, but it’s so far out of town that it’s hard to see that happening. The shower didn’t drain well and the room was just beat up. If you have a pet and are en route, it’s a good deal. Check in easily on the iPhone and checkout was simple. …and the wi-fi is on/off at any given minute.

This place is suitable, but it’s a motel not a hotel. For the price(we paid $ 60CAN) the place was fine, clean looking, but after a long day of riding, you really want to relax somewhere nicer. Lesson learned. The good part is that you can park your motorcycle right in front of your door. It’s an okay place if you want to over night and get back on the highway fast, but it’s too far out from the downtown(where you definitely should eat). In retrospect, for an extra 10 bucks I should have booked the La Quinta on 65 W Orchard Park Dr as it looks closer to Greenville. The bad part is the bed was a bit soft. The room smelt like a smoking room even though it was a non-smoking room.
