Hibachi Cafe

1. So I’m ordering take out at the cashier and half way through my order she answers the phone and begins taking their order instead. Hangs up the phone and says «I’m sorry, can you start over?» I wasn’t happy but I started my order again. The phone rings and she reaches for it and I said «shouldn’t you take the orders of those of us in line?» The girl said it was her 2^nd night so I gave her a pass.
2. While taking my payment she said «what’s your card PIN? I need to enter it.» EXCUSE ME???
3. After sitting for ten minutes the owner let her know orders were taking 45 minutes to complete. I waited, and she didn’t bother to let me (or the other 2 people waiting) know. I finally asked if that included our orders and she said «yeah basically…»
I won’t be returning. By the way I’m still here waiting on my food.

I was really impressed with this place. The food was great, and the prices were even better… well, at least on par — it was pretty hard to be better than the food. I definitely recommend this place. My husband gets hibachi and I get my sushi, it’s a win for everyone.

Love this place! You wouldn’t know from the outside, but their sushi rolls are great and well priced. Perfect place for takeout or even dining in — they have a good amount of tables and fast service!

Great little place in the Verdae shopping center for hibachi. I’ve eaten there for lunch half a dozen times and the food has always been great and friendly service which is always high on my list. The portions are just right and it all tasted fresh. The steak in the hibatchi steak was perfect. I’d recommend it as a great lunch place.

Passed by Hibachi Café on the way to look at some new cars. We have been looking for a replacement to Kyoto Fantasy on Woodruff since it has closed sometime between the last 6.5 years we’ve been gone. Hibachi Café proved to be a worthy replacement.
The visit didn’t necessarily start out particularly well, but it progressively got better.
It appeared we might have been the first guest of the day. When we walked in it took a few minutes too long for someone to greet us. Once we were greeted in was a friendly welcoming greet and we were promptly sat.
The next thing we noticed was it was extremely cold in the restaurant. However, as the meal transpired it progressively warmed up. I believe they noticed we were cold and turned the heat on.
I had the filet and chicken Hibachi. The meal comes with fried rice, vegetables, and your choice of miso soup or salad. The chicken, zucchini, and mushrooms were excellent. The steak, carrots, and onions were good. The fried rice was decent.
Overall the meal was really good. This seems like a great lunch option. The price is really good too. I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

I am happy to say, they have maximum number of food with very economical prize. I really enjoyed. Grill was awesome. l am lovin it.

We had a great post Thanksgiving meal here on our trip home. Crowd and wait at the nearby Olive Garden convinced us to try the Café, and we were really glad we ate there. Delicious hibachi and teriyaki steak. Our server was attentive and very pleasant. We would definitely go again.

Portions and prices were just right. Good was good, I wouldn’t call it above average. Service was good, place was clean. My sushi should have been rolled tighter, it fell apart on me a few times. Soup was just okay, I’m not a fan of ginger dressing so I got ranch which was not that great either. I wish I had some more veggies on my plate. Overall place was good.

Surprisingly amazing Japanese spot located in the strip mall next to great clips. Interior is very welcoming, service is top notch and food is quite fresh. Only had steak hibachi combo but I’ll go back to try other dishes.

Update: I keep going back here. About 5 – 6 times so far. I keep going back for the hibachi. Their dinners are 20% off right now and service is still on par. Chicken could be better. It’s a little dry and overcooked.
Sushi is decent for the money. If you want a filling meal, give it a shot. The rice needs more vinegar though. Maybe sugar too. It does stay together however.
You still can’t beat this place $ for $. Service is so well timed for a restaurant of this level.
Hibachi, hibachi, hibachi.

I work close to this place so I figured I’d try it out for lunch today. I called in a to go order and it was ready very fast and it was SO GOOD. Oh man, fresh ingredients, the white sauce was awesome, as well as the yum yum sauce that came with the salad. And it’s all very affordable! I got a ton of food with my meal. I ordered teriyaki chicken and it was mixed with onions and zucchini, fried rice, veggies, salad, and soup all for under 10 bucks. This is for sure going to be one of my regular lunch spots. I’m looking forward to trying the sushi next time!

We had sushi, seaweed salad, and Japanese fried rice. Sushi was fresh and good quality ingredients. The spicy tuna was delicious. Seaweed salad and fried rice were well seasoned and tasty. Average sized portions and average prices. Will be back to try the Thai dishes. Especially since all the other Thai restaurants in Greenville are closed on Sundays and this place is open!

This place has amazing Japanese food! High quality meats, a lot healthier than typical Chinese takeout. I got the Hibachi chicken when I went. It was delicious and came with broccoli, carrots, onions, mushroom, and zucchini! All of the Hibachi and teriyaki come with soup and salad so it is definitely worth the money. I also love the white sauce that comes with the meal and could eat white sauce with anything. Perfect place for Japanese Hibachi and sushi. I’m not a sushi person but the sushi does look beautiful and tasty as they are all hand made to order.

This place just opened up a few days ago so I decided to try them out. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful and super clean. Their menu had pictures of every special roll so that was helpful. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll and a steak chicken and shrimp hibachi dinner. The food came out pretty quickly and it was delicious! The food was cooked perfectly and not overly greasy. The portions were huge! Overall a great experience. I will definitely be coming back!
